“Toya is AMAZING. Our baby loves spending time with Auntie Toya and is very comfortable (even for being a shelter dog). She has nervous tendencies but don’t come up when Auntie Toya is around… Toya spoils her and loves on her and I have no worries because I know she being spoiled while I’m away. Love knowing she’s in loving hands. Brings me such peace of mind while I’m away. 🫶🏼”
“Brooke is awesome. She was very accommodating with our schedule and keep us updated on our fluffies. She arranged a meet and greet to make sure everyone gets along and introduced herself to the dogs.”
About: With 18 years of experience caring for animals, I understand that pets are more than just animals. They’re family! I’ve spent years caring for dogs and cats of different ages, sizes, breeds, and personalities. I know how important it is to find someone you can trust to provide your pets with the same love, patience, and attention they receive at home. As a registered nurse, I am naturally attentive, dependable, and detail oriented. I understand the importance of following routines, recognizing changes in behavior, and providing a safe, comfortable environment. Whether your pet needs walks, playtime, feeding, companionship, or simply some extra love while you’re away, my goal is to make sure they feel happy, secure, and well cared for. I will also provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is in good hands! I work remotely from home, which gives me the flexibility to incorporate pet care into my daily routine! I understand how important consistency, attention, and companionship are for pets, and I enjoy making time for walks, playtime, feeding, and plenty of love throughout the day. Working from home also allows me to offer flexible scheduling for pet care services. Whether your pet needs a quick check-in, a walk, or extra attention while you’re away, I strive to accommodate their individual needs and maintain their normal routine as closely as possible. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities! I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big decision, and I take that responsibility seriously. As a registered nurse, I am attentive to details, comfortable following specific care instructions, and accustomed to recognizing changes that may require attention. I approach every pet with patience, kindness, and respect for their individual personality and needs. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I make every effort to maintain their established routines, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special instructions provided. I also respect your home and make sure your pet’s environment remains clean, comfortable, and secure. Communication is important to me, so you can expect regular updates and photos while your pet is in my care. My goal is for you to feel completely confident knowing your furry family member is receiving dependable, loving attention!
“Shannon is great! Her and her dog Goose are very welcoming. They were able to give my doggo the best time while I was away. It's hard to leave your dog behind on a trip but it's a lot easier when you know they are in good hands. She gave me great pictures and videos so I could be at ease while I was away.”
“Roy is such a gem! He took great care of both of our dogs, gave us a few updates on how they were doing without us asking while we were on our trip and made the drop-off and pick-up so seamless. Highly recommend trusting Roy with your furry family members. We’ll definitely be using Roy in the future.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Petersburg home-away-from-home, packing:
