“Our pup, Clark, is a bit on the shy side. Rachel developed a great rapport with her and made her first home alone stay a success. Rachel took great care of Clark while we were away and provided excellent communication on how our pup was doing while we were away. We'll absolutely be booking her again!”

About: I've been around animals since I was very young and love all of them. They are part of my family and will be treated as such while they're with me. I enjoy going on walks and keeping pets happy and entertained. I believe it's very important to know your fur babies will be in great hands when boarding with me. My beloved dog Mario is no longer with me; he lived for 13 wonderful years and was the best dog anyone could ask for. I haven't been able to get another one since then. Watching and caring for other pets makes me happy and brings me joy. I currently work from home so my schedule is very flexible throughout the week. Working from Home is a blessing and has given me the flexibility to care for others pets. I do not have a fenced yard, but I live in a development that gives me plenty of opportunities to go for walks. As long as they come with a leash we will be walking.
“Christina was absolutely amazing! She made the time to come meet my dog prior to the drop in and she listened to all of my care details and was very thorough and enthusiastic! She sent a great note after the drop in and made sure to take photos for me so I could see he was doing well! Will be using her regularly!!!”
About: I'm an experienced pet sitter who loves spending time with dogs. I'm patient, reliable and, I treat your pet like family. I have owned and worked with dogs all my life (I'm 65) and feel this is a natural fit as I near and enter into retirement. I'm currently a full time pastor of a Lutheran congregation. The congregation is used to me bringing dogs with me to work. However, depending on the pet and the request of the owners, I can leave pets at my (or your) home and check in on them regularly. I am with them overnight. I do not have a fenced yard in my Condo so will walk them on a leash. I have my own fur baby, Annie, who absolutely loves other doggy companions. I work with each pet and client individually to ensure that we are meeting your needs. Crate trained animals are welcome but I've sat for many who roam free in the condo.
“Taylor is an excellent pet sitter! We are so very pleased with her loving and caring attention to our pups. Plus her communication with us while we were away was outstanding and provided much peace of mind.”

About: I’ve always loved animals and understand that every pet has their own personality and routine. I’m patient, reliable, and committed to making pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. Whether it’s walks, feeding, playtime, administering basic care, or simply providing companionship, I’ll treat your pet like they’re my own. I pay close attention to instructions, communicate regularly with updates and photos, and make sure every pet receives the care and attention they deserve. I work entirely from home, which gives me a highly flexible schedule to dedicate to pet care. I can easily accommodate potty breaks, mid-day walks, and constant companionship throughout the week. My weekends are completely open for extended playtime, boarding, or overnight house sitting. When watching pets in your home, safety and respect for your space are my top priorities. I stick strictly to your established routines, double-check that all doors and gates are secure before and after walks, and keep in constant contact with daily photo updates to give you complete peace of mind. My home is a cozy, pet-friendly space where your dog's safety is my number one priority. While I do not have a fenced yard, I always keep dogs securely leashed during all outdoor bathroom breaks and walks. I strictly follow your feeding routines and provide constant supervision to keep them safe and happy.
“What can I say about Kristin? She is AMAZING!! She makes owning a pet, raising a family and working a whole lot easier. Kristin is reliable and truly an animal lover. I know that my dog is in the best of hand with her, so thank you Kristin!”

“Angela is amazing!! She has been doing drop in visits for our two dogs while our work schedules are more busy than usual and it has given us such a piece of mind. She even came out to our house prior to the visits starting to meet our dogs which made us feel even more comfortable!!”

“Sophie did an amazing job with our cats. She sent the cutest pics of our fur babies while we were away, and it was clear they were in great hands. This was our first time using Rover and everything was so easy and smooth. Looking forward to booking with Sophie again soon!”

About: I love animals, and do have my own pets. I know what it’s like being a pet parent and just needing to make sure your fur baby gets the love and attention they need. I work from home and can work pretty much anywhere. So my availability is very open to meet your needs. I work M-F and have weekends off. My job is to make your life easier and make sure your pets are safe and loved. I will follow any rules you provide. I do not allow children to approach dogs while walking for everyone’s safety.

“Paula is my go-to for a while now and am so happy to have found her! I have had to run out of town a couple times now on short notice for sudden family matters and with Paula, the dogs are the one thing I don't have to stress about! I know they are taken care of and happy pups! She has bailed me out a couple of times now and I can't thank her enough! She even left me and the dogs a Christmas card the last time... so thoughtful of her! If you need someone for an upcoming weekend, I highly recommend her!”

About: We’ve always had dogs until recently. Our last one went to the rainbow bridge last June. We’re taking a break from dog ownership, but would love to still have dogs around! We have over 30 years of experience with all kinds of dogs and other pets. I work 4 days per week and my husband is a retired police officer and has a very flexible part time schedule. My husband watches our video cameras frequently when not home to check on the house, pups (ours until recently). We require a free meet & greet visit for all first time clients. Whether the requested service be boarding, walks, or drop ins. We feel this requirement is essential for trust, safety, and expectations. We want your dog to feel comfortable with us first be for caring for them. We have a fenced in yard and a dog door. Dog door will be blocked off at owners request. We only take one clients dogs at a time so we can devote all of our attention to them. Your dogs will be treated as our family pet while we are watching them and they will never be kept in a cage or crate unless the client requests it. Because your dog(s) will have the run of our house, we only take dogs that are completely house broken. This means if your dog only occasionally pees in the house or pees when they’re super excited, unfortunately we won’t be able to accommodate a booking. We live in the country and on rare occasions we have found a tick on our dogs. This has happened maybe four times in the past 20 years. If we’re going to be walking your dogs on our property, they should be on a flea and tick preventative. We have security cameras in the house and outside. My husband is retired law enforcement and I am a registered nurse.
“Dana did an amazing job watching Kitty! She was very professional and so compassionate. It was my first time leaving Kitty alone for that long of time however Dana kept me updated and put my mind at ease! Thanks for the amazing things that you do for everyone’s pets!”

“Samantha is an incredible pet sitter - she did daily check-ins with my 3 dogs for several weeks and was always on time, very reliable, and my dogs love her! During this time one of my dogs passed away and she went out of her way to adjust it through Rover even though I didn’t ask her to do so. She was so kind to us during that time as well. I will definitely have Samantha watch my dogs again!”

“Melanie was very responsive, kind and professional! She took great care of your two pups while we were out of town. Easy to coordinate with and look forward to working with her in the future!”

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Perry. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
