Lo took great care of our dogs and the house. I will be using her again and highly recommend. My dogs take a minute to let new people in their circle and she did great with them. They loved her!

We are always scared to leave our dog with a stranger, but Sammy did great!! She updated me each time she went over and sat with him for a while so he wasn’t alone for so long. Will definitely book again in the future!

I highly recommend Samantha. She was very diligent in caring for a somewhat complicated schedule for several types of animals. When we returned the animals were happy and well cared for. She also house sat for us. She is very respectful of our property and the house was left in immaculate condition! We could not have been more pleased and it is such a relief to have someone we can trust with our animals and our home. Hire Samantha! You will not be disappointed.

Andrew was an absolute godsend while we were away!!! He took the BEST care of our dog, and sent us cute photos and videos each day! He truly listened to what we wanted for our dog (who is older and a little stubborn) and went above and beyond in terms of caring for her like his own beloved pet. He checked in with us to ensure that we were ok with certain things, and did an amazing job of keeping us reassured that things were all a-ok, which was particularly nice since it was our first time experiencing an in-home pet sitter. He left our house in nicer condition than when we left it. I’m pretty sure my dog misses him now that we are home! We have already told him we will be using his services again in the future!!!

Abigail is the best! My dog, Dottie, is a very anxious girl and she warmed up to Abigail after only a couple minutes during our meet and greet. She sent pictures the entire time I was away and took such amazing care of Dottie. I would recommend her for any dogs and will definitely have her comeback to take care of my girl the next time I need an overnight sitter.

Lexi went above and beyond and even showed up a little early since we got a early start to our vacation. She took great care of our bulldogs and it gave us such relief to know they were in good hands. She left the house spotless and had great communication through the entire weekend. Will certainly book again.

About: I have taken care of pets ever since I was young. Looking forward to taking care of your fur babies as if they were mine I recently lost my pets and the apartment I live in doesn't allow pets so I look forward to loving your fur babies as if they were my own I'm pretty flexible at dealing with animals I used to have a Australian shepherd and a Shih Tzu Chihuahua mix and two cats so I'm used to taking care of a lot of babies

Rhonda is the best! She came for a 5 night stay at my home with my 2 dogs (a Rottweiler and Boston Terrier) and my cat (5 month old kitten). Not only did she care for my babies (who were absolutely in love with her the moment they met her), but also took great care of my home. I had no worries during my time away. I will 100% rebook with her again.

Adalyn did such a great job caring for our dog Hoosier and watching our house while we went away for a few days. She sent pictures and communicated with me daily. Whenever I needed to contact her about something, she was quick to respond and took care of anything I needed. We came home to a very clean house and a very happy dog! I highly recommend Adalyn and we will definitely be using her again!

Stacey was amazing and went above and beyond for me and my pets. She mentioned she has 3 large dogs and her experience really showed. At one point I ran out of dog food and she offered to go pick some up. She also watched over my guinea pig and took great care of him, since she has rabbits of her own. I will definitely be booking her again and again!

Mirte was absolutely outstanding! From the moment we connected, she was communicative, thoughtful, and incredibly caring with our home and pets. She went above and beyond in every way, sending regular updates and photos that gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. Our pets clearly adored her, and it was obvious she treated them like her own. We came home to a spotless house, happy animals, and everything handled perfectly. Mirte is reliable, kind, professional, and truly one of the best sitters we’ve ever worked with. We would book her again in a heartbeat and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and compassionate to care for their pets and home. Five stars all around!

About: Hey, my name is Bailey and I love working with animals. I grew up on a farm with horses, goats, chickens, but most importantly cats and dogs. When I was a kid my grandparents bred puppies and I would help take care of them. Moving forward anytime someone needed help feeding and walking their dogs I volunteered. I have dog sat many times and had dogs come to my house a few times as well. I have one dog myself, a pit mix named Goofy. I work part-time and am off on Mondays and Wednesdays. I start work at 8am almost everyday and get off at either 1pm or 2pm except Sundays when I get off at 3:30. I'm available for overnight stays and can walk and feed your pet both before and after work. I consider myself very active and will be happy to take your dogs on plenty of walks. I can walk around your neighborhood or take a quick trip to a nearby park. I love playing with dogs and cats, especially laser and fetch. I love fetch. I have a special needs cat and I make my own food and treats for my dog so if your animal has any dietary or medical requirements I will happily rise to the occasion.

I work from home daily so I can care for your pet all day!! Whatever your pet needs I can accommodate!! Agreeable to following specific needs if required. Our home is non-smoking and no kiddos!! Fully fenced backyard!! Willing to transport to local dog parks if preferred for daily activity!! Instructions are preferred so we make you pet feel at home!!

FAQs for House Sitting - Peoga

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of September 2026, there are 1,065 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Peoga. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Peoga walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Peoga maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Peoga choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Peoga. On Rover:

  • 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
