About: Hi there, I'm Liz! I'm excited for the opportunity to meet and care for your pet. I grew up on a farm in northern Minnesota, where my family raised beef cattle, sheep, chickens, and horses. Animals are and always have been a huge part of my life. I now live in Mankato with my Mini Goldendoodle, Winston, and I was a high school Agriculture teacher. I take the responsibility of caring for animals seriously. In college I took a variety of animal science classes covering small and large animal care and handling, nutrition, and vet science. I started this service because of Winston. When I worked 10-hour days, I couldn't justify leaving him home alone that long. A friend who worked from home offered to take him for the day, and it was worth every penny, for my peace of mind and for his health and well-being. That's the care I wanted for my own pup, and now I can offer it to yours. With winter coming, I know how hard it is to get outside when it's dark and freezing. I make sure Winston gets plenty of exercise all winter long, and I'd love to do the same for your dog. I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, day sitting, and boarding. About: I’ve always loved being around animals and have experience caring for dogs of different personalities and needs. Over the years, I’ve been trusted to care for pets while their owners are away, making sure they’re fed, walked, played with, and given plenty of love and attention. I know how important it is to leave your pet with someone you can truly trust. I pay close attention to each dog’s normal routine and personality so they can feel as comfortable and happy as possible while you’re away. Whether your pup loves long walks, playing outside, cuddling on the couch, or just having someone nearby, I’m happy to give them the kind of care they’re used to. I’ll treat your dog like they’re my own and make sure you feel comfortable too. I’m also happy to send plenty of pictures and updates so you can see how your pup is doing while they’re with me! 🐾 I work from home, which gives me a very flexible schedule and allows me to be available throughout the day for your pup! I also have a Golden Retriever of my own, so walks, potty breaks, playtime, and lots of attention are already a natural part of my daily routine. Since I’m home most of the day, I’m able to give your dog plenty of attention and companionship without them being left alone for long periods of time. I’m happy to adjust to their normal feeding, walking, and potty schedule so they can feel as comfortable as possible. Having another furry friend around would be a welcome addition to our day! 🐾 Your pet’s safety and comfort are extremely important to me. We live on just over 5 acres with plenty of space to explore and our own walking trails throughout the property, which are perfect for getting outside, going on walks, and getting some energy out! Since I already have a Golden Retriever of my own, our home is very dog-friendly and we naturally have plenty of dog toys, supplies, and space for pups to feel comfortable. Our property is not fenced, so dogs will never be allowed to roam outside unsupervised. I’m more than happy to use a secure in-ground tie-out for dogs who are comfortable with one, or keep them leashed whenever we’re outside. I understand that every dog has their own routine, personality, and comfort level, so I’ll always follow your instructions and do my best to make your pup feel safe, loved, and at home while they’re in my care. Before their stay, I’d love for you to tell me a little about your pup—their personality, daily routine, favorite things, any quirks or tendencies they may have, and anything else you think I should know. The more I know about them, the better I can make their time with me feel comfortable and familiar! 🐾

About: I've intermittently assisted my sister at her pet grooming business over the past 10+years. This time is also when I started watching dogs for some of her clients and I then found clients of my own through word of mouth. I've stayed in people's homes with their pets, I've had pets stay at my home. I have experience with puppies to senior dogs, kittens to senior cats. I have experience with toy breeds to Giant breeds. Domestic felines to hybrid. I grew up on a farm and have been around animals my entire life livestock, wildlife and pets, I have a deep love and respect for them. I've always had a pet dog/cat or both.. currently both. My schedule is currently very open daily, weekly, weekends very flexible. I intend to prioritize pet care in hopes of building a good business base for the near future. Pets in my care get all the love and attention. Vet name and number, emergency contact, medications list needed... I have out door tie outs, a zip line tie out, out door kennel, 2 indoor kennels, I'll let your pet sleep in my bed if it's sad. I want the pets to always be as comfortable and stress free as possible, so whatever that looks like for them is what I'll provide.
