About: I have loved and cared for dogs for as long as I can remember and have about 15 years of hands on pet care experience. I have experience with dogs of all sizes, ages, personalities and energy levels. I have fostered dogs through It Takes a Village, including puppies, senior dogs, small breeds and large breeds, so I am comfortable caring for dogs with very different needs. I currently have several dogs of my own and dogs have always been a huge part of my life. I truly enjoy getting to know each dog’s personality and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, loved and included while they are in my care. I work from home, which allows me to be around throughout the day and give pets plenty of attention, potty breaks, supervision and companionship. I am able to provide a home environment where your dog does not have to spend the day alone. I can keep your pet’s normal routine as much as possible, including feeding schedules, medications, walks, playtime, crate time and plenty of cuddles. Your pet’s safety and comfort are very important to me. I have extensive experience caring for dogs with different personalities, ages, sizes and needs through both my own pets and fostering. I understand that every dog is different and I am happy to follow your instructions and routine. I provide plenty of supervision, attention, playtime and affection while making sure pets have a calm and comfortable place to relax. I am also comfortable with crate trained dogs and can accommodate individual feeding and care instructions.

About: I love all animals, especially dogs. I have worked with many types of dogs, cats, and even horses over the years. Starting in 2016, I was a doggie foster mom with a rescue in Orlando. I hosted and found homes for over 15 dogs. I have had a lot of experience with rescue, in-training, and stand-offish dogs of different breeds. I have learned how to have the patience and understanding for any animal I come in contact with. I volunteered in several shelters here in Kentucky before I lived in Florida, which was about ten years ago. I was also shown how to give shots and basic first aid. I am a fun loving, crazy dog lover that will show your furry family members the same attention that you would. I’m currently working mostly on the weekends, so I’m ready give love to more dogs on the weekdays! I love meeting all dogs and am able to work around your pet’s schedule. I currently live in an apartment with stairs, but I have a lot of nice walking paths around. My car is dog friendly and I love taking my dog and others on field trips to safe and fenced in areas to run!

About: I bring 13 years of professional animal care experience including roles in general practice, emergency medicine, internal medicine, and lab diagnostics. As a former vet tech, I’m skilled in medication administration, symptom monitoring, and anxiety management. For the past three and a half years, my husband and I have run a private, in home doggie daycare and overnight boarding service. We offer one on one play, a spacious quarter acre fenced yard, and a secure clean cozy indoor space tailored for comfort and enrichment. With no other pets or children in our house, and the luxury of us both having a schedule that allows us to be home full-time, your pup receives our full attention and supervision 24/7 and they’re cared for like family. Doggy daycare and boarding is our full-time focus, and we’re home 24/7 to provide attentive, personalized care. Each day begins at 8:00am with one on one enrichment play in our spacious, fenced backyard. We avoid group play for safety, only allowing interaction between bonded pets. This approach lets us welcome dogs who may not thrive in traditional daycare settings. After morning play, pups rest before and after meals to prevent bloat, then enjoy relaxed indoor time on our cozy futon or human sized dog bed. Outdoor breaks and play continue throughout the day until dinner at 5:00pm, followed by evening rest and a final potty break at 10:00pm. All dogs are monitored via live feed cameras, ensuring constant supervision. Our goal is to make every stay feel like a safe, joyful home away from home. If you require greater than 8 hours of doggy daycare, pricing will go up to reflect the number of hours needed and the level of care we provide as well as your dog or puppy's needs. Your pup will enjoy full access to our home’s main floor, outfitted with baby gates, plush dog beds including a human sized one for large breeds or bonded pairs and sun bathing areas by large windows perfect for lounging. During the day, dogs are never kenneled unless we need to leave the home for a short period of time and can freely explore both indoors and our spacious, fenced backyard filled with squirrels, rabbits and birds to chase. At night, all pups sleep safely in kennels, monitored by a live feed camera system that streams directly to our phones. We welcome dogs of all ages and sizes. Safety and comfort are our top priorities, and we’re happy to answer any questions during your meet and greet.

About: We have experience caring for dogs, cats, reptiles, fish, birds, and hampsters. We have successfully house and crate trained every dog we have adopted into the family. I work remotely Monday and Friday, so am home all day on those two days. My 16 year old son homeschools, so he is home all day, every day, and loves animals. I have a fenced yard and one dog that lives in the home. Lucy loves to have company, is crate and house trained. We currently have no other pets, but would love to have visitors to love on and send home at the end of the day. Please note that we will not accept dogs that are not crate trained. Since we care for a few dogs at a time, we do require they all be kenneled if we leave the home. We are not away from the home often, or long when we are gone. However, in order to ensure the safety of all dogs while we are away, they must be kenneled when we leave. I do understand kennels can be traumatic for some dogs, especially those that have experienced trauma in their life. I am sympathetic to this and know that we would not be a good fit to care for those pups who are not/cannot be kenneled.

About: I have been a dedicated pet owner and caregiver my entire life. I grew up in an animal loving home so I have been around dogs and cats quite literally forever. I bring over 20 years of experience caring for animals ranging from puppies/kittens to senior dogs/cats requiring medication. My background includes managing different temperaments, administering oral and topical medications, and making sure all dietary and exercise routines are followed exactly how you need and want them to be. I pride myself on reliability and clear communication, guaranteeing your peace of mind while you're away. Your fur babies will be taken care of just like they are my own. Since I am a stay at home mom to two toddlers, my schedule is more open to create time for what you expect out of dog walks and home visits. With my schedule, I require less notice in advance than others. Unlike people with strict work schedules, my flexibility means I am available throughout the day everyday, so I can give reliable care exactly when your pet needs it. I will make sure that your pet is comfortable and safe in their own environment while giving them the care that I would want my cats and dog to receive.

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Pelzer

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Pelzer commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in IN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
