“Rebecca took amazing care of our elderly cat while we were on a short vacation. We were worried about leaving him, but Rebecca put our mind at ease by sending pictures and checking in with updates. Our cat loved her! She did a great job and we would definitely work with her again!”

About: I’ve been taking care of animals since I was a kid, having grown up on a hobby farm and competed in cat, horse, goat, chicken (and more) showmanship in 4H. My zoo is much smaller now, with two dogs and three cats! I love meeting new furry kiddos, and am always up for a walk, a game of fetch, or giving a good chin scratch. ☺️ Since I work part time, I have lots of availability to care for your pet! My own pups get daily exercise, playtime, and enrichment activities, and I’m happy to provide your pup with the same when you’re busy! On walks and drop in’s, it’s my goal to get as much zoomies and energy out as possible in the time we have - but I know some pups take time to warm up to new carers. I’m happy to take the time your pup needs to trust me, so our next visit is even more fun!
“Emily did a great job caring for our cat, Ozzie. We highly recommend her as an experienced pet sitter. And Ozzie loved her as well! She kept us informed with photos and followed our feeding instructions, as well as played with Ozzie and gave him lots of attention during her visits. She also brought in the mail and delivery packages. We definitely plan to use Emily’s services through Rover again in the future.”

About: I have hands-on experience caring for dogs and other pets, including feeding, exercising, grooming, cleaning living areas, and providing attentive daily care. I am comfortable working with animals of different sizes, breeds, and personalities and understand the importance of patience, safety, and recognizing changes in an animal’s behavior or needs. I am passionate about animal care and always strive to provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment. I’m working part time I have the mornings off I can come and take care of your pets! I’m off all day on Thursdays and Tuesdays. I also have the weekend off. I’m a very active person who loves to go on walks especially with my dog! I have a fence in yard we have four acres of land that we can take walks on. We also have a very safe neighborhood.
About: Hi, I’m Janine! I’ve been pet sitting since 2017 and have built years of hands-on experience caring for both cats and dogs through in-home sitting, drop-in visits, and dog walking. I also have volunteer and fostering experience through Pawmetto Lifeline, where I’ve worked with animals of all ages, temperaments, and care needs. I’ve grown up with cats in my household my entire life and currently have 3 cats of my own, so animal care is something I’m deeply familiar with on a daily basis. This has given me strong awareness of routine, behavior changes, and the importance of consistency, patience, and trust when caring for pets in someone else’s home. In addition to cats and dogs, I have experience caring for a wide variety of small animals including rabbits, hamsters, and fish. I also keep snails of my own, so I’m very comfortable with unique care routines and smaller or less common pets. Truly, no animals are off limits for me! I enjoy learning each pet’s individual personality and needs. I’m also experienced with administering oral medication (including my own cat who takes a daily pill), nail trims, feeding routines, enrichment, and structured walks for dogs of all energy levels. I work a regular 9–5, but I’m available for pet check-ins during lunch breaks and after work throughout the week. I am also available on select weekends. I work remotely on Tuesdays and Thursdays, which allows me to check in more frequently or stay with your pet during the day while working from home if they need extra attention or company. I know how important it is for pets to feel safe and comfortable when their owners are away. I always follow care instructions closely and pay attention to routines and any behavior changes. Whether it’s drop-ins or in-home care, I aim to keep things calm, consistent, and stress-free. I’m respectful of your home, reliable, and will keep you updated with messages and pics so you always know your pet is doing well.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of November 2026, there are 143 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Peak. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
