“Riely has been our drop in sitter for about a month now and has been a great help. She’s been flexible with our schedules and when on the job has taken care of our doggos in a timely manner. Would highly recommend to anyone in the Beaver area looking for as dog sitting/walker.”
“I had a great experience! She took wonderful care of my dogs, kept me updated, and sent me photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. She was attentive, reliable, and very caring with them. I’ll definitely be using her services again and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy to care for their pets!”

About: Hi there, my name’s Taylor and I’m new to Rover! I’m very excited to begin my new part time career as a petsitter. I’ve never had a job based around animal care, however i’ve had years of experience watching friend’s / family’s pets. I also own a dog myself, so I understand that they need all the love and attention they can get! I’m happy to stop by and feed, walk, bathe, and spend some quality time with your furry friends. I’m open to looking after dogs / puppies, cats, or even multiple animals! I’m very responsible when it comes to time management and completing tasks. I’m also easy going and will try to be as flexible as possible. I hope you’ll consider me and I can’t wait to meet you and your little buddy / buddies! I am a part time nursing student so my calendar fills up pretty fast, but I promise to create a schedule that works best for everyone! I’m usually free during the day on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. I’ve always fed my pets first thing in the morning and when I got home from school / work. I’m willing to follow any feeding schedule you may have as well. I also play outside with my dog, take him on long walks, and once in a while complete his least favorite activity… bathing. It can be a little rough (no pun intended). I’m open to grooming / bathing your pup if needed too! Last but most certainly not least, the clean up. It’s normal for pets to have accidents or get into stuff they shouldn’t, especially when no one is home. If I spot anything out of place, It will get cleaned up asap. It’s important that you come home to a happy, healthy, and tidy space as well!

“Lindsey, her husband Bobby and the whole family from the meet and greet on were wonderful. It’s the first time I had to get a sitter that wasn’t family or a friend, so I was nervous, and I’m just a nervous dog mom in general. But the whole time they kept me updated and reassured me the whole time I was away. I will definitely be booking again if needed! Thank you all so much for taking such great care of my fur babies.”

About: I’ve cared for animals my entire life and recently completed a veterinary assistant program through my school’s career and technical center, as well as volunteered at the local animal shelter. Through my training, I’ve learned safe animal handling, recognizing signs of illness, administering basic care, maintaining cleanliness, and keeping pets comfortable and stress-free. I’ve cared for both dogs and cats of different ages and personalities. I understand how important it is to treat every pet with patience, kindness, and attention to detail. I’ll care for your pets as if they were my own. I currently have a flexible schedule, allowing me to provide care throughout the week. I’m happy to work around your pet’s routine for feeding, walks, playtime, medications if needed, and plenty of affection. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. Through my veterinary assistant training, I’ve learned safe handling techniques and how to recognize when a pet may not be feeling well. I’ll follow your pet’s routine closely, keep their environment clean and secure, and provide regular updates with photos so you can feel confident they’re receiving loving, dependable care.

About: I have had dogs my entire life and enjoy caring for them and any other type of animal that is needing cared for. I want to make them as comfortable as possible while you are away getting some much needed rest and relaxation. I am a nurse so do not mind if the animal requires extra special care or attention. About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my combination of 15+ years of hands-on experience with animals and my genuine passion for providing exceptional, personalized care. Caring for pets has always been something I love, and I take the time to understand each animal’s unique personality, routine, and needs. I am experienced with dog walking, pet sitting, grooming, puppy care, senior pet care, and providing extra patience and attention when animals need it most. I understand that puppies need consistency, positive reinforcement, exercise, and guidance as they learn, while senior pets often require a gentler approach, extra comfort, and attention to changes in their needs. I also have experience caring for cats and understand the importance of respecting their individual personalities—whether they are playful and social or more independent and reserved. In addition to dogs and cats, I have experience providing drop-in care for farm animals, including chickens and goats. Farm visits can include feeding, providing and refreshing water, putting out hay, collecting eggs, and making sure each animal is safe, comfortable, and cared for according to their normal routine. I understand that farm animals have their own routines and care requirements, and I am comfortable taking the time needed to make sure everything is done properly. My goal is to provide more than just basic care. I focus on creating a safe, loving, and enriching experience for every animal while giving owners peace of mind through reliable communication, updates, and personalized attention. Whether I’m caring for a beloved family dog, a shy cat, or a small farm full of animals, I treat every animal with the same level of patience, respect, and care I would want for my own. I feel honored to be trusted with someone’s furry, feathered, or four-legged family members and look forward to providing them with dependable, loving care while you’re away. I am currently dedicating my full-time focus to growing my animal care business, which allows me to provide flexible, reliable, and attentive care for my clients’ pets. Because pet care is my primary commitment, I’m able to give each animal the time, attention, exercise, and affection they deserve. My daily routine revolves around creating a safe, comfortable, and positive experience for every pet in my care—whether that means morning walks, playtime, feeding routines, enrichment activities, grooming needs, or simply providing companionship while their owners are away. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, and I take pride in being dependable, responsive, and treating every pet as if they were my own. I offer flexible, dependable pet care options designed to keep your furry family member happy, comfortable, and well cared for in the environment where they feel most at ease. I provide in-home visits, dog walking, and overnight stays for both dogs and cats, with care tailored to each pet’s individual routine, personality, and needs. Whether your pet needs daily exercise, companionship, feeding routines, medication reminders, playtime, or extra attention while you’re away, I’m happy to provide the level of care that works best for them. I understand that every pet is unique, and I take the time to build trust and make sure they feel safe and loved. I also offer pet grooming services, including basic grooming care to help your pet look and feel their best. My goal is to provide reliable, compassionate care while giving you peace of mind knowing your pet is in great hands.

I am an outgoing, friendly girl that will provide the best care for your dog/cat/etc. I am currently working remote and I need something on the side to get me out of the house and moving! I do leave for meetings but I would like something fun and active to keep me active through the day!! I am very attentive to dogs and always make sure they are in a safe environment. I do not offer boarding so I would make sure your space is safe for the pet.
About: I had pets ever since I was really young. I would help bathe them, feed them, and clean up after them. I've learned that pets have boundaries just like we humans do. All you need to do is be patient with them. I've help taken care of my past pets and even my other family's dog. I've helped watch my grandma's dog while she went on a one-week vacation. I've helped keep her fed, made sure to take her out when needed, gave her the attention she wanted, and cleaned after her. I even help baby sit my little cousin because I'm really trusting. I have the most pet care experience in cats and dogs. These are the pets I grew up with the most. I can handle two dogs at a time as long as they're small dogs. 0-20 lbs is fine. I work midnights, so there will be a timeframe whenever I can see a message or not. I work from 11:00pm to 7:00am, and typically sleep around 1:00/2:00pm to 7:30pm. Im available most times before 1:00pm. My everyday schedule can be easily adjusted when needed. I would treat your pets with respect and also respect their boundaries. I would treat them as my own and will do my best to keep them out of trouble. If you give me a list of things to do for them, I will gladly try my best to complete everything on the list. To make you feel comfortable I would gladly send you adorable pics of your furry friend. If I have any questions of your pet, I would be sure to text you. Feel free to check up on your pet at any time and I will respond fast as possible. Dogs need to be crated at night, unless they do really good outside the crate, meaning they don’t get into anything, or completely potty trained.

About: Although I do not currently have pets of my own, I have always loved animals and have been the go-to pet sitter for friends and colleagues since moving back to Pittsburgh in 2019. I have cared for dogs and cats of all sizes, ages, and personalities, from quick check-ins to longer stays. Because I work remotely, my schedule is flexible and I can provide consistent care, attention, and updates while you are away. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet and your home, so I try to be dependable, communicative, and attentive to each pet’s routine. Since I do not have pets of my own, I genuinely enjoy getting to care for other people’s pets like they are part of my extended family. I work remotely, so my schedule is flexible and I can provide pet care during the day, in the evenings, and on weekends depending on the booking. Because I can work from different locations, I’m able to spend quality time with pets during house sitting stays and provide consistent check-ins, feeding, walks, playtime, and updates. I’m happy to follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible. I care for pets in their own home, where they can stay comfortable with their usual routine, space, food, toys, and schedule. Gwynn checked on my two kitties while I was away on vacation and did a wonderful job. She accommodated some last minute requests no problem and was very pleasant to communicate with! Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
