“Jasmine watched our 3 month old puppy and was awesome! She provided plenty of updates (lots of pictures!), was able to let her out regularly, and kept her entertained all day while we were gone! Would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable puppy sitter!”

“Katie stayed at our house with our anxious rescue Sadie while we were out of town for a weekend. Sadie takes a while to warm up to new people (she seriously hides under the bed for hours). She’s not the easiest dog, but Katie did a great job of comforting her and meeting her needs. She had great communication and provided numerous pictures/updates. She was easy to work with and I’d definitely book with her again!”

“Tegra was amazing with our quirky doggo. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Tegra provided updates and loved on our pup while we were away for almost two weeks. Upon returning home, we could tell puppers was anxiety free and our home was in excellent order. 1000% would use Tegra again.”

“Ashley was GREAT! I had a last minute trip pop up this weekend and she immediately responded to help me out. She even dropped what she was doing to come meet her that night! She was super responsive while I was away, and Brooklyn is worn out tonight- which I know is because she had so much fun! Thanks again, Ashley!”

“Jeanne is AMAZING. We got home to happy dog, clean house, an awesome day by day journal, and near daily check ins (that we kept requesting and appreciating). Jeanne is an awesome communicator, kept our house in immaculate condition, and all was well during our vacation. We will 100% use her again and knowing we have a great sitter for Winnie makes me even more inclined to book a future vacation. 100% recommend.”

About: Hi - I’m Lex and I am a school social worker. I enjoy traveling and know how hard it is to find someone you trust to keep your pet safe and healthy while you go on vacation and the reason I decided to become a pet sitter. I’ve always had pets growing up and can take your dog for a walk, clean your kitty litter box or just provide your pet company while you’re away. I am available during some weekends and weekdays. Since I am a school social worker, I have more open availability during the summer and additional time off during the holidays. I have an indoor gate and one friendly, shy cat that will keep your fur baby company. I can easily crate your dog if needed.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs (Puppies Adult Dogs) since I was 11. I would always babysit my neighbors dogs whenever they went on vacation. I use to have a Yorkie Poodle and I currently have a Dogo Argentina and a Chocolate Lab! My schedule is very flexible and open. I can make time to watch after your dog anytime. Just would like a heads up before the actual date you need your pet to be watched. I have a townhouse that is very spacious. I prefer to watch your dog at your home. It would make things a lot easier. I have no problem with traveling.

About: I have been taking care of dogs for as long as I possibly could remember. I’ve dealt with all ages including caring for my own pregnant dog and helping birth and care for the puppies. I currently have three large dogs that are adults and have cared for two of them since they were puppies. My third dog is a rescue who has been a part of my family since he was one. I have went through extensive training with my dogs and have been able to work with other pet parents to help train their dogs who are struggling with aggression and/or highly reactive dogs. I also work with senior dogs and any extra attention they may need as I have had my own senior dog. I am fully capable of working with any special needs dogs as well. Having 3 dogs fits info my schedule pretty normally and I have no issues doing so. I have a work from home job meaning I can be here to care for all the dogs needs at any time. Feeding, walking, playing, bathing (if need be), if dogs have any medication I can give it to them. Lots of snuggles as well!! Dogs will be in a safe separate area from my personal dogs.

“Jaclyn was awesome! She took tons of pictures for me, and gave tons of love to to my two pups. I couldn’t ask for anything better than that! Thank you”

“Highly recommend Emily’s services!! She made our senior dog so comfortable during her 4 day in home pet sitting. We received daily updates & pictures, and we could tell how much our dog enjoyed spending time with her! It can be nerve wracking leaving a senior dog at home, but we were never worried about our dogs care and safety while we were gone and Emily was with him.”

“Julia was perfect! She sent pictures of our pets to ease our minds. Always answered me anytime I had a question. Will definitely book again, regularly! Price was very reasonable too!”

“As always, Kelsey was great with my dog and cat! I never worry when they’re with her. From walking my dog several times, to cuddling my very needy cat, she did all of it with a lot of love and pictures along the way :) Not only did she care for my fur babies, she kept my home clean as well.”

“Margit was great with our boy! She even took care of him when he got sick and was really great at updating us on how he was. Will definitely use her again!”

“I’m so happy we were able to book Rachel to watch our dogs and home while we went out of town. We did a meet and great before the trip, and I was certain they would be in good hands. We enjoyed getting daily pics too. She left our place looking nice than how we left it. I would not hesitate to book her again.”

“Lily was a blessing for our family!! This was the very 1st time we have used rover. We ended up adopting a dog 2 weeks before a preplanned vacation. Lily was so patient and understanding with us as we had very little information about our new family member when we booked with her. We were able to leave her with notes on training our new dog had and we gave her the ability to address and immediate concerns with positive training as she saw fit to help her week go smoothly. Lily was able to help bridge the gap with consistent training while we were gone to ensure we didn’t lose precious training time. She was also able to pivot and help address any behavioral issues or quirks that arose that we were unaware of. She even sent us videos and a great description of how she addressed them. She sent updates everyday and didn’t hesitate to reach out with questions. She put away our grocery order before we arrived and made sure to have the house cleaned up and even washed the towels I left out for her. We definitely will be booking with her again.”

“Joan stayed for 3 days with my dog Charlie at my house. She was timely, responsive and took excellent care of both my home and my dog. I would absolutely ask Joan to pet/house sit for me again. Charlie is an old guy who can have separation anxiety causing him to pee in the house. Joan did such a great job making him feel safe and happy.”

“Charles was amazing with our dog!! Our dog is massive and can be ornery at times but he took to Charley immediately. Charley came to our house several times a day while we were out of town so our dog could remain in the place where he is comfortable. Often, Charley would stay and work out of our house just so our dog wouldn’t be alone. It was very comforting knowing our dog was well cared for and loved while we were away. Thank you Charley!!”

About: Hello! My name is Krystal and I am a dog lover who has taken care of dogs for 25+ years. I have a toy Aussiedoodle (Charley) and a mini Aussiedoodle (Adobo) of my own. They’re social boys who love company, but respect boundaries if their furry friends don’t want to play. I work from home and walk my dogs 2 times a day (or 1 long walk) and we also enjoy hiking or playing in the fenced-in backyard. Your furry friend will have activity, company, and love while under my care! Working from home full time gives me the flexibility to easily fit pet care into my day, allowing me to provide regular attention, walks, playtime, and companionship. Please feel free to send a message to check on my availability! I have a large fenced in yard and friendly dogs, Adobo and Charley, that can keep your furry friend company with play or lounging. I can crate if needed.

“Keisha was amazing!! She sent lots of updates on our dog and spent really good time with her the whole 5 day trip. She was in such good hands and we would DEFINITELY use her again! Thank you!!”

About: Animals have always been a big part of my life. Since I was 10 years old, there’s always been a dog in the house, and I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember. One of my earliest memories is convincing my mom to let me adopt a stray I found outside my dad’s business—that dog became a beloved member of our family and solidified my bond with animals. I also have several years of professional experience working at Community Bark Dog Wash in Bayside as a dog bather, where I cared for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. This hands-on experience taught me how to read animals’ behavior, build trust, and handle everything from playful puppies to nervous seniors. I’ve also spent a lot of time with cats, thanks to friends and family, and I’m just as comfortable caring for them. What sets me apart is my active, patient, and attentive approach. I’m an athletic guy who loves getting outside for walks, runs, and playtime to keep pets happy and stimulated. At the same time, I take pride in being calm and patient, which helps me connect with animals, especially those who might be anxious or shy. As your pet’s caretaker, I’ll give them my full attention, keep them active, and make sure they feel loved and cared for, just like they’re part of the family. I’m currently working part time from home as a health and wellness coach, so with planning I can be free almost any day to care for your animals. I really enjoy working pet sitting into my schedule. Safety I prioritize safety by pet-proofing the environment, securing hazardous items, and supervising pets at all times. For walks or outdoor time, I ensure leashes are secure and pets are always in safe, pet-friendly areas. Trust Building trust is essential, both with pets and their owners. I take time to understand each pet's preferences, routines, and needs. I communicate regularly with owners to provide updates, photos, and reassurance that their pets are in good hands. Environment In my home, I provide a clean, cozy space with plenty of fresh water, toys, and comfortable areas for rest. If caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their routines and ensure pets feel secure by keeping familiar scents and surroundings intact. I also maintain a calm, positive demeanor to help pets feel at ease.

20. Perseus M.

“As someone very nervous about leaving my cats while on vacation, I knew I needed to find someone I could trust. Perseus watched my three cats on short notice and took the time to understand their individual needs and very specific feeding schedules. One of my cats only eats one type of food and changes her mind every other day, another needs to eat behind a closed door so the others won't eat their food, and one of them is very shy around strangers and I was worried he wouldn't eat while I was gone, but Perseus was patient and made my scaredy-cat feel right at home. Upon my request, he agreed to send daily updates on the cats so I could be assured they were being well-cared for, and he was happy to confirm all the tedious things I asked for to make my cats as comfortable as possible in someone else's home. He was personable, kind, and patient with both me and my cats, and made me feel more comfortable with leaving my babies with a stranger! At the end of the week, he didn't feel like a stranger anymore but someone I could genuinely trust.”
