“Cathy stayed with Tess for 5 days and nights. She was the best!! She took Tess for a walk every day, sent me pics and videos, gave her medicine, took care of my flowers & plants and it was obvious that my fur baby loved her!!! Cathy is my forever dog/house sitter!!!!”

“I was very nervous about getting a sitter for my dogs because Willow has a lot of anxiety and is very reactive. I scheduled several initial visits with Haley so she could get to know Willow. I left town and felt very comfortable leaving my babies with Haley. She did great! She was very patient and kind to my Willow. I recommend Haley to anyone who is looking for a dependable and kind dog sitter. Rosana”
About: I’ve stayed home alone with cats and dogs and had to take care of them. I absolutely love cats and dogs and always go to pet stores to look at them. I always walk up to stray cats and dogs to feed them. I’ve never had any problems from family members in the past from sitting their own animals. I’m currently a student in college. Trying to make a living for myself. And I figured I love cats and dogs so why not watch them and earn money! Back home I have a dog and a puppy that play around a fenced yard. I have been around them on my own waking up early, to feed them and let them outside to go potty or play. And then have to watch them all day.
“Lily was super awesome and would highly recommend. She came to meet my 2 pups before I left for vacation and updated me with pictures while I was gone. Also brought them some extra toys she had and some treats as well as cleaned up some extra messes the dogs had made. Will definitely book her to watch the pups again.”

About: My name is Alexandra and I'm currently work as an Operations Specialist for the The Animal Rescue Site. Through my company I was able to travel to Puerto Rico and help rebuild an animal shelter that housed both cats and dogs. I love being around animals, especially dogs and I cherish the time I get to spend with them. I am committed to providing the most effective, convenient solutions to dog training needs, walking, providing medication, feeding, live in pet care, and more. I do believe training dogs is all about consistency and I would love to learn the methods you use or provide some advice to help teach your dog how to lead a successful doggy lifestyle. I'm here to help clients to enjoy easier lives with their canine companions!
About: I’ve taken care of dogs of every kind since I was 10. I’m a Big advocate on animal rescue. I have watched friends and families animals when they go out of town. I currently work part time as a server. I would like to transition into pet care full-time. after the new year. Making myself available to come to you is something I think is important so you and your pet feel more comfortable in your own surroundings. I would care for your pet in your home along with your pet routine. I know how important it is for your pet to stay on their routine. With you being gone it will help ease pet anxiety, if they have it.
About: I have always had at least one animal in my home since I was born. My grandmother showed dogs and I would often help her get them trained and groomed. She was also an amazing professional dog groomer and I spent a large chunk of my time with her and learning from her. I like puppies but I have a love for older dogs. I have experience administering meds and injections. I work part time, on the weekends and I go to college full time. In the summer I work 5 days a week but based on your needs I can fit your furry friend into my schedule. I like to have a little list of things that you would think is important like the vet you want them to go to if your baby gets hurt, a feeding schedule, and anything that you may have concerns about while I stay at your house. I treat all of the animals I watch as they are my own babies and think it’s important to gain the trust of them while at your home, so they feel more comfortable.

About: HIGHLIGHTS: -Insured -Comfortable w/ large and small dogs and knows the different requirements in care -No kids in home -Would love to bring my friendly chihuahua for in-home sits -Dog kennels provided for when necessary, no need to lug yours with you -38 year old home owner w/ privacy fence in back yard -Work from home sitter -Regular updates and pictures -Has read dog psychology and taken dog training classes with my dog. I believe pets deserve respect and autonomy and I'll do my best to treat your babies like I treat my own boys. I've read a few dog psychology books so I do have a good understanding of different communication styles that dogs may have and I have experience with reactive dogs and elderly dogs as well. When I walk your dog, I have no problems communicating with strangers and setting boundaries. I am very protective of my animal clients peace and safety. I always err on the side of caution. For sitting in your home, I do bring my 6lb chihuahua. If your dog needs to be separated from small animals, I can easily accommodate that in my home. With pets, I am gentle but firm and it creates an environment that dogs love. I love playing with dogs and engaging their minds. I also communicate with your pet to ensure they are happy (which room they prefer, how they like to be pet, how they like to be played with) and I tell them every day that you're coming back. I genuinely love each animal that I interact with and treat them how I'd want them to be treated if they were mine. I'm also punctual and communicative. My late dog was also reactive and could be aggressive, so I have experience dealing with large dogs that have strong boundaries. I work from home so I am available to stay with your pet all day long! When I do leave, it's usually never for more than 4 hours and I have a L crate and an XL crate that your babies can stay in if needed. For sitting in your home, I do bring my 6lb chihuahua. If your dog needs to be separated from small animals, I can easily accommodate that in my home. Please choose the service best suited to you and your pets needs. I have a large backyard with a privacy fence on all four sides. I have a 20 y/o cat and a xxs chi puppy but there is a pet gate that keeps the house in two parts. Your pet will not interact with my pets at all (unless otherwise discussed). Dogs have their own room and will be allowed free roam of one half of my home. It's a large space.
“Madison took amazing care of our 5 dogs. It’s a big task to take on and she didn’t hesitate. Some of the dogs have special needs, she provided them with the care they require. We have one that is VERY high energy and she played with her constantly! Madison really went above and beyond - we will definitely be a repeat customer.”

“Meredith was a good match for my animals! She was on time and responsive. Since my cat has some medical concerns, it eased my mind having someone with experience look over him!”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Park Hills walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Park Hills maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Park Hills choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
