House Sitting in Paris

“I had a mandatory business trip and my pet sitter fell through fairly last minute. My 6 year old cat, Ollie, has separation anxiety (I rescued him from abuse when he was 6 months old) and he is not used to being alone for long periods of time because I work out of the house and am home most of the time. While he's friendly, he's not super snuggly or interactive with strangers; he just needs someone to be 'present'.  We had a meet-and-greet prior to booking the stay- She asked all of the pertinent questions about his personality and daily routine (Charlie, my 21 year old cockatiel, is easy- LOL). I was rest-assured things would work out so I booked the stay.  Deanne was wonderful with both Ollie and Charlie. She sent me updates throughout the day and plenty of photos letting me know they both were doing well (although I could tell in a couple of the photos Ollie was a little sad... But that is completely normal- As long as he was eating and following his regular routine I knew he'd 'survive'). This also helped me not stress out or worry about my pets and be able to focus on my trip / business dealings and that's honestly also a big part of traveling for me.  I arrived home, and while I know both Ollie and Charlie missed me, everything went right back to normal and that's what told me Deanne cared for them very well. She also was very respectful of my home and kept it clean during her stay. I'm very glad I found her and will be using her services again. I highly recommend Deanne to care for your pets!”

“Jack did a great job with my two dogs. He quickly scheduled a meet and greet to discuss our house and what our dogs would need. One of my dogs is old, a little anxious and does not allow many people to pet him. Jack was very patient with him and by the end of the weekend, Rudi felt comfortable enough to let Jack pet him. Jack was also very responsive and sent several pictures of the dogs over the weekend. Everything in the house was also in good order when we returned from our weekend. About: I have had and taken care of dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, and so many other exotic animals since I was very young. I also have experience working with a wide variety of pets at vet clinics as well as a pet resort both of which I walked, fed, administered medication, and watched several dogs in a daycare setting. I also worked with a wide range of exotic animals as my career after graduating college! During the school year I am a substitute teacher typically working M-F until about 4pm. This summer I will be working at Apple Holler as a tour guide with a slightly inconsistent schedule but the days I do work I will usually be finished around 3pm. That being said I am available to do drop ins and walks later in the afternoon after work. I have most weekends available as well. When caring for your pets I will always be cognizant of the surroundings. I respect the owners choices of the best way to manage their dog so I will use leashes, crates, etc. whenever it is needed or recommended.

About: Hi my name is Rianna and I have a very huge heart for dogs and cats alike. I grew up around a pit-bull who was my best friend for 10 years and I recently lost her to cancer, I provided care for her until the end of her life. I recently started pet sitting for friends and family. Doing so has given me the ability to gain experience with other dog breeds. I have always had a huge heart for all pets and thought what better way to spend my time then with them all day! “Kelly was wonderful!!! She took great care of our little cat Claire, who is an antisocial beast of 17 years. Kelly contacted us daily with pictures of our little girl, which eased my concern of leaving her. She was also able to connect with the beast, who has never bonded with other sitters, OK she hid from them or hissed and tried to attack them, trapping one sitter an a small hall way. Claire not only talked to Kelly she came out of hiding, which impressed both me and my husband. Thank you Kelly for all you did for Claire.”

“Ariana was AWESOME! She literally saved our weekend vacation after our original scheduled house/dog sitter no-showed on the morning we were supposed to leave. Ariana was able to come over a few hours after confirming, she asked appropriate questions and was attentive. I felt awful because we have two geriatric dogs. It turned out not to be as smooth of a weekend for Ariana, as we thought it would be. What has always presented to us as food eccentricities and separation anxiety in our 15 yr old Shih Tzu, may be end- of- life symptoms, as he refused to eat, drink, and had explosive diarrhea in the middle of the night and was spitting up on the last night we were away. Ariana handled everything in the most professional and respectful manner she could. She called me at 3:30 am (which I appreciate more than anything) and advised me Mushu had explosive diarrhea, he was spitting up, and wasn't eating, and asked what I wanted her to do. I appreciated this so much because I know my dog better than anyone, and have dealt with him "being Mushu" for 15 years, and I knew we would be leaving the following morning to come home. We got home yesterday. I called his vet and we made a plan to monitor him overnight to see if he returned to previous perkiness and started drinking/eating. Again, Ariana was very professional and used great instincts to overcome a difficult weekend.”

About: I've always had an animal in the house from fish to rabbits to dogs and more. Whenever a family member needs a pet sitter, I'm their first call and I'd love to be yours as well! I'm available between 10 am-2 pm Monday, Wednesday & Thursday, between 6:30 pm-9 pm Mon.-Fri. and between 8 am-10 pm, Saturday & Sunday. I'm a school bus driver therefore these hours are firm. ☺️ I am comfortable giving medications and bottles if needed, along with crating. I love going for walks with my furry friends and am always up for some extra training and cuddles!
