“Amazing!! Michelle stayed in contact my whole trip with messages and pics to brighten our day. She is amazing and such a beautiful person! Whenever we thought of trips where my pup wasn’t able to go we would decline now we have the comfort of having a contact! So grateful :)”

“Deborah was so loving and sweet to my dog. Rebe was very happy and playful with Deborah. I love my girl like she was my child and I’m so comfortable leaving my girl with her that I will keep her as my pet sitter. Thank you Deborah for your wonderful service.”
“Mary took excellent care of my three fur babies. She sent pictures and updates every couple of days and responded to to my asking about them very quickly. I will definitely use her when I need a sitter again!”

“This was our first time using this app. Stephanie was so reassuring. Our pup loved her, and we found much comfort in her service. She kept us updated with lots of pictures. She had a nice fenced yard and took the pups to the dog park frequently. Lastly, she had an upbeat and happy personality.”

“Mel was great, very friendly, and my dog Maze was very comfortable in her home. Her dog Maverick was fun playmate, they hit if off in a few minutes. Having a fenced in back yard for the dogs to run and play safely was a huge plus! We will definitely be rebooking when the need arises. Thanks Mel!”

“Andrea did a great job watching my almost two-year-old Aussie doodle, Teddy. Teddy had never spent the night away from home, and I was worried that he would misbehave, cry, or refuse to eat in our absence. It turns out none of that happened! Teddy was so well taken care of he barely knew we were gone! I could see from the multiple videos Andrea sent that Teddy was very happy and well taken care of. He even ate his food! We will definitely be back!!”

“Shay is wonderful! She and her hubby work from home, are extremely conscientious and love dogs. They loved Birdie, which is a #1 priority. Will use them again and can’t recommend them highly enough!”

“I left my "Little girl" for a week with Anouk and she did an excellent job watching her. Anouk took very good care of "Lexi" for me while I was gone. Anouk kept me informed as to how Lexi was doing. She responded right away every time I had a question or concern. Anouk would send me pictures of how Lexi was doing. I am very pleased and would highly recommend Anouk to watch your furry family member.”

About: I’ve been a lifelong dog lover, and caring for animals has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. At 67 years young, I have the patience, reliability, and genuine love that pets deserve. I understand that every dog has their own unique personality, routine, and needs, and I take the time to make each one feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Whether it’s going for walks, playing, giving belly rubs, or simply providing companionship, I treat every pet as if they were my own. I know how important it is to trust someone with a beloved family member, and I take that responsibility to heart. I’m home full time, which means your pet will receive plenty of attention, companionship, and care throughout the day. My flexible schedule allows me to stick to your pet’s normal routine, whether that includes regular walks, playtime, feeding, medication, or simply lots of love and cuddles I have a fenced in yard with a pool. For pets that do not know how to swim, I prefer to stick to just walks rather than time in the back yard to be sure they are safe.

About: I have taken care of pets since I was in middle school (11 years ago). I have taken care of dogs, cats and even an axolotl once! I understand that every animal has different needs and personalities and I am willing to accommodate them. I have taken care of pets from a variety of ages from old dogs to freshly born kittens! My schedule is currently flexible and I stay home most days of the week. I am willing to doing weekends on occasion or if needed. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priority. “Rachel did an amazing job looking after my dog over a 10-day vacation that I had. She was very communicative and supplied updates alongside pictures for the ease of any anxiety I would have leaving my baby in her care. She also asked if certain behaviors were normal or abnormal for my dog further allowing me to know she was really attentive to how he was behaving and what he needed. Would definitely book again!”

“Danielle was Amazing! She took care of our two sweet puppies as if they were her own. We received daily updates, with pictures. She was wonderful, and we will use her again without hesitation!”

“Carol has gone above and beyond. Magoo has anxiety and this was his first long car trip and experience being left with a pet sitter not in his own well known environment. Carol was able to manage a complex situation which was new behaviors. She is exceptional! Forever grateful for her loving kindness and creative solution which allowed me to fill a family obligation! Highly recommended!”

“We had a wonderful experience with Fred & Katie and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring to look after their fur baby. We left our labradoodle Duke with Fred & Katie for 10 days but our flight got delayed and had to extend one additional day. Fred & Katie were very willing and accommodated our last minute request with no issues and no extra cost. Through the stay they provided pics and videos of Duke, and he was having a great time with them and the other dogs. Overall 5 stars, great experience and peace of mind. 👍”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Painters Hill home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Painters Hill.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Painters Hill sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
