“Carissa was so awesome and great with a last minute booking! She was extremely communicative and easy to get ahold of. I really appreciated her sending not only photos but also videos of my guys having lots of fun and enjoying themselves in her company. There was so many issues with my travel due to the snow storm, but she was flexible and able to provide relief from the anxiety by being open to extending the length of the dogsitting. I also really appreciated her spending well over an hour on many of her visits, even though I didn't book that amount of time, but it really showed her going above and beyond. I will definitely be booking with her again and recommend her to others!”

About: I have been pet-sitting in my hometown for over 5 years, and I worked for two years in high school at my local vet clinic. I am trained in giving all types of medications, and I have substantial experience in working with animals in all states of health. I have also been exposed to a wide variety of pet behaviors, so I am comfortable working with pets that may need extra attention and care. I also have several senior pets and have fostered kittens in the past, so I love working with pets of all ages! I have spent my entire life loving animals, beginning with the family pets I grew up with. This led me to the veterinary field, where I began fostering and rescuing animals. Through this work, I discovered I have a particular love for senior pets, which led to my family adopting 5 senior dogs and one cat. Currently, I am a pre-veterinary student at Mizzou and I hope to become an Emergency Mixed-Animal Veterinarian! While I am excited to be pursuing my dreams, I really miss my pets and all of the animals I used to work with, so I am looking to fill that void here at school! I am a full time student, and my class schedule varies from day to day. I am usually on campus from 9-3 during the week, and I would love to work with any pets that need care outside of those hours or on the weekends! I strive to provide the best care to every animal I work with by making their comfort my top priority. I know how hard it is to be away from your pets, so I treat every pet how I would want mine to be treated. Outside of my professional experience with animals, I just really enjoy hanging out and spending time with them! So, you can trust that your pets will be loved, spoiled, and excellently cared for while you are away :) I work hard to establish trust with every animal I work with, to ensure that they are as comfortable as possible. I know how stressful it can be for pets when their owners are away, so I try my best to keep them happy and stress-free! I am happy to give medications, play with your pets, or simply hang out with them in order to provide the best quality care.

“Cats were well taken care of!”

“Elle has an obvious knack with animals. Our older cat is usually reserved with strangers but instantly loved her. All of our animals do. Elle has been so easy to communicate with. We will absolutely book again in the future.”

“Thank you for taking such good care of our baby!!!”

About: I am a veterinary student and have extensive experience caring for animals in many capacities. I am comfortable working with dogs of all sizes and cats. I have classes during the day most days, but will be able to either drop by in early morning or afternoon/evening! I am more thank happy to work with times as long as I have sufficient notice. I will follow any guideline you set for your animals in order to keep them safe. I will not give them anything unapproved, and I am familiar with signs of distress or illness in animals. This will help me to make sure your pet is doing well in my time watching them.

I love all dogs and have confidence in walking and training large, dominant dogs as well. I have been in training and agility classes with my current dog and am happy to help with leash walking and obedience. I am currently taking a break from nursing due to burnout. Monday-Sunday I'm your girl! Feel free to reach out for reoccurring visits, or for multiple visits per day, if you are located in the Columbia area. “Leah took wonderful care of Winston and Bentley. She even went the extra mile by collecting eggs from our chickens. We’ll definitely be using her again!!!”

About: I started volunteering at the humane society in second grade, and I have loved taking care of animals ever since. I grew up with three dogs and fostered cats in college, and I often pet sit for family and friends. I am in between jobs currently so I am available every weekday morning, afternoon and evening. I am also available on some weekends, just ask! I always make sure gates are closed before I let dogs out, and am very careful about keeping them on a close leash when there are cars or bikers nearby.

“Mandy did a great job! Both my dogs loved her; especially Keisar from the moment he meet her when she just stopped by to meet them. Mandy is very accommodating and easy going; she doesn't mind a little dog hair or slobber, or big leaners. Thank you!”

About: I've always been an animal lover! I grew up with dogs & cats, and I currently have a 50lb shepherd, who's full of energy, so I know the importance of play-time & giving all the belly rubs, love & attention a fur baby needs! I know how I want my own dog to be treated when I'm away, so I will always be sure to do the same for yours! I've also pet sat for friends & family over the years, so I'm used to following any guidelines you provide. I'm currently a stay-at-home mom, so I've got a lot of flexibility with my schedule and would love to help care for your pets anytime! Currently, I'm looking to do drop-in visits at your home, as my fur baby does better as a solo pup. I will respect your home & prioritize outside time as long as the weather permits! I love all dogs, but prefer non-aggressive dogs; lots of energy is totally fine though, I'm used to that with my dog!

About: I LOVE animals of all sorts. I've personally had cats for 23 years. I also have a bunny. I have taken care of other people's dogs for the past few years, and have been cat-sitting and house sitting for about 15 years. I am currently working full time but able to make my own hours at work, to make sure that there is adequate time for your furbaby. I provide tons of snuggles, attention, walks for dogs (or cats if they are trained to do so) at your preference. Available for walks, drop-ins and overnights. I am currently unable to care for your pets in MY home because I have 2 cats and a bunny, but I can provide tons of affection, clean their litterbox and/or yard poops daily. If your dog or cat is playful, I am happy to engage with them in that way as well to exert energy.

“This is the first time we've used a pet sitter (other than family) and were a little nervous. Juliana sent pictures all week long and it was obvious our pets were well cared for and comfortable with her. I would absolutely recommend Juliana. She's a five star sitter.”

About: I’ve taken care of animals all my life. I have dogs and cats at home, but have also taken care of animals for family members and friends. I have experience in basic care, but also in minor vet care. I have experience in cleaning wounds, replacing bandages, giving shots and medications, and in nail trimming. If you need anything that isn’t listed, please feel free to reach out and we can discuss if I can help provide that service. Rates are negotiable. I’m currently on maternity leave until January so my schedule is wide open and flexible. After my leave ends I will be working full time in Columbia but will still check on your animals 2-3 times a day if asked to. Rates are negotiable. Currently I only offer watching pets at my clients home. This lets your pets maintain a sense of normalcy and calm while you are away. I can feed them and ensure they have clean water, walk them, and play with them so they aren’t lonely.

About: I’ve had my dog Teddy for three years, and my cat Squash for two. I love animals of all kinds and have been asked by family and friends since a young age to help them take care of animals. I’m gentle with touch but firm with my voice, love to train and spoil them, and adore going on walks. Your pets will be in good hands with me My schedule is really open right now, so I’m available for whatever your pet may need. I understand how important schedules can be, which is why I like being flexible. I’m very good at making sure that all the necessary tasks are met first when I get into the house, then if I’m allowed to, I usually try and spend a little time with that animal to gain their trust.

About: I grew up in the country surrounded by all types of animals. Pups, cats, bunnies, goats, guinea pigs were all part of my life growing up and giving them a good life meant the world to me. Regardless of the animal it's gonna get a world of enthusiasm and love. I'm currently a full time student but I have time during Wednesday, Fridays and weekends that I would very much like to spend helping take care of pets. I think the best way to keep any pet safe and cared for is to simply be present. That and being mindful of any special needs or wants of the pet.

Kirstin F.
“Kirstin has always been so sweet with all the pets we have had. She loves animals as much as humans. One of the main recommendations I have of her is that it makes her really sad when animals are left alone for long periods of time so she loves giving them the relief of a lively and playful person when she sees them. She is also extreme detail oriented so she always sends pics and writes notes about visits. I have seen her play well with animals from small to large.”

Lauren L.Star Sitter
“Lauren did an amazing job taking care of our two German shepherds, and our home while we were away for a week. We could tell when we came back that the dogs truly had a wonderful time with her and missed her when she had to leave. She was great at paying attention to the details of their routine. We felt zero stress at leaving them with her, and most definitely would love to have her dog sit for us again soon. Super grateful!!”

“Vincent is an empathetic person who is thoughtful of humans and animals alike. He has a deep love for nature and all critters. I have known him his entire life and watched his compassion for all creatures, his pets included, grow from an early age. He is responsible in the care of animals, making sure their physical and emotional needs are met. He has a wide range of experience from farm livestock to small fragile pets. He treats pets with dignity to ensure they are comfortable, safe, and happy. Animals love his calm demeanor, and they are drawn to his tenderness.
