“We had a wonderful experience with our cat sitter Paige! From the moment we met him, it was clear how much he genuinely loves animals. He took excellent care of both of our cats, including one who requires insulin injections twice a day, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. He was communicative, thoughtful, and incredibly kind, keeping us updated and making sure our cats were happy and well cared for. We came home to two relaxed, well-loved kitties. We were so happy with the experience that we’ve already booked him again. We highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable, caring pet sitter!”

“Patrick is the best dog sitter we’ve ever had from Rover! He’s reliable, great at communicating, and great with our dogs (2 corgis under 2 years old). I always have the upmost confidence that my dogs and my home will be well taken care of when Patrick comes to visit.”

“Highly recommend Kayla! I have a 19 week puppy full of energy and Kayla surely gets all his energy out like requested. She doesn’t just let him out to go potty and sits around. She actually plays with him and makes sure he’s running around and spending all his puppy energy. I’m very happy with her services!!!! Used her twice already and will be rebooking for sure.”

About: I have had both dogs and cats in my life and I currently have 3 cats; Olive, Theo and Addy. I look forward to getting to know your little buddies and forming a relationship that offers the fun and familiarity that matters so much when your people are away. I recently finished my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and am doing some petsitting while I look for a permanent position. I will likely keep doing it in some capacity once I find one, just because I really enjoy meeting new furry friends :) I cannot offer boarding currently, however, I am happy to visit your pets in your home or take them out for a walk. I love to give pets the attention they deserve and form a new friendship with each creature I have the privilege of caring for.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Ottawa Hills
Taylor was the best person to leave my babies with while I was away. I had Taylor booked for a majority of 2 weeks, the longest I havr been away from my babies. Taylor came and did a meet and greet and I was worried as Zuna can be hesitant meeting new people. Taylor reassured me everything would be great. Every update was amazing, detailed filled of their activities and amazing pictures. Taylor reached out when she had any questions and had wonderful communication. Taylor will make sure your pets have lots of cuddles and play. The cats felt very comfortable with her after just one day.

Natalie was great about letting me know the daily status of our 3 cats. She was able to send me pictures of 2 of the cats but not my skittish girl. I know she tried but she can be very elusive. All the cats are rescues and each have their own personalities but she was still able to assure us while we were gone

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Ottawa Hills. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
