Was great with handling my dog when she was nervous and had never met Chase. Wouldnt feel more comfortable with anyone else watching my dog after that and I will be using Chase in the future.

I have two cats! Keliann did a wonderful job! This was my first time using Rover. I was a bit nervous at first how this was all going to go! She was very helpful and informative which helped ease my anxiety! Throughout the time she kept me updated with detailed notes on how the visit went! She seems very attentive and definitely an animal lover! I can’t thank her enough for her help!

About: I’ve had experience with many animals of different species for many years and can take care of all needs. I was a dog trainer and certified in dog and small animal wellness. I am currently a pet care specialist and do all that I can for all and their pets. I also have a degree in environmental science and pet wellness. I also like to applaud myself for customer service skills and being personable with everyone I meet. I will talk to you like I’ve known you forever and I strive to be someone those can be comfortable around. 😊 As a pet care specialist and pet owner myself, my schedule ranges from 8-9 am for spot cleaning and feeding, then around 12 I do pet checks, and around 5-6 is when I do final checks. For dogs, it follows the same structure with added enrichment and outside time in between. I have one dog and one puppy who spend time mostly outside and come in for breaks and food/snacks. I have a cat who eats twice a day and will occasionally be put in his stroller to go outside and enjoy the fresh air lol. And I have 2 guinea pigs who eat twice a day and will come out of their cage for enrichment and play time.

About: I come from a mother who absolutely loves dogs and a father who has been forced to deal with that 😂. I've been around dogs and cats my entire life and helped my mom with fostering pets of all ages, sizes and physical conditions, from a Great Pyrenees to a small pack of Chihuahas. Though I only started sitting locally just over a year ago, I'm very familiar with meeting new dogs and caring for their individual needs. I'm out of school right now so I will have plenty time to come check on and stay with your pets. After I'm done caring for my own, of course. I am available to do a meet & greet to learn just how to take care of your pets, and I can also send a daily update picture just so you know that your animal companion is getting they care they deserve.

About: *After your first successful booking with me, I lock in your rates for all future bookings so your rate stays low as my loyal customer, even if I raise my rates later. Regularly care for my own dog (beautiful lab/pit mix) and have had dogs (& other pets) all of my life. I love the bond shared between me and my pets and that experience that I get to pass along to my children, who are helping care for our senior dog. Our pets have always been part of our family, and I will treat your pet & home with the same attention and care that I have always shown to my own. The world needs more love and respect -- certainly among us as humans -- and I believe our pets can teach us that lesson every day if we're willing to see it.

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with a special soft spot for cats. I grew up caring for dogs of all sizes and breeds, and I’ve continued to help care for family dogs as an adult. I’m comfortable with small breeds, large breeds, and everything in between. I wasn’t allowed to have cats growing up, so I fed strays whenever I could. As soon as I lived on my own, I adopted two cats who became my whole world. They’re the reason I understand feline behavior, body language, and the slow, gentle process of building trust with shy or sensitive cats. I’m also an occasional travel nanny, and one of my ongoing responsibilities is caring for a client’s three cats. Handling feeding routines, litter maintenance, administering medication when needed, and giving them plenty of affection and playtime. I’ve also fostered cats, including a mama with a litter of four and another litter of three kittens. Bottle-feeding, socializing, monitoring health, supporting new moms, and keeping young kittens safe taught me how to read feline needs on a deeper level. Those experiences gave me a calm, confident approach with cats who are timid, young, or need a little extra reassurance. Beyond cats and dogs, I’ve cared for bearded dragons and other small pets, so I’m very comfortable managing multiple types of animals at once. My focus is always on gentle communication, patience, and keeping your pet’s routine consistent so they feel safe and relaxed while you’re away. Your pets will be cared for with the same love and attentiveness I would give my own. Whether you need drop-ins, feeding, playtime, or overnight care, I’m here to make sure your animals feel secure, happy, and well-loved. I’d love to meet your fur (or scaly!) family. I’m currently working part time from home, so I have plenty of time to care for your pets. I am also available to care for your pets on weekends. I have a very small yard, but plenty of space in my home for your pets to roam and spread out if needed. I can accommodate for any pet needs.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of September 2026, there are 1,328 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Otey. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Otey. On Rover:

  • 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
