About: I have had dogs since I was a child and love them all. I treat them like they are my children. They are loved to the moon and back. I am almost retired so I have all kinds of time to take care of your baby. I love to let them run in the fenced in yard. I have a fenced in back yard. We also have a gate on our front porch for them to just longe around and people watch.
About: Having been through a fairly traumatic dog attack myself, I made it my mission to learn all about dog's behavior and why they do what they do. I have studied different ways of training and learning how to react to certain situations with them. I promise to love and give all the fun play time, cuddle time, and attention to your favorite furry friend! Your doggy can sleep in my bed and hang out on the couch. If you are anything like me, your dog is your best friend and child! I had an amazing female Boston Terrier who lived to 13 1/2. I am versed in care of elderly dogs. My new venture is a deaf puppy. We are learning hand signals for training. He is very friendly and loves to make new friends. If you have any questions about what I'm willing to do, or can and can't do, please don't hesitate to ask me! I work for a family business, and can bring my dog to work. Therefore, your pup will be able to come to work with me! I will love your baby as if it was my own. Dogs will always be leashed outside. They are allowed on furniture here and are welcome to snuggle anytime! But if you have different rules , please tell me so I can abide by them.

“Our dogs were well cared for and tired out when we picked them up! Extra attention was given to special dietary instructions for one of them and pick up and drop off was efficient. We were glad to use them again and know they were in good hands!”

About: I have owned many dogs over the years plus have over 7 years in the dog rescue business. Having volunteered with Legacy Humane Society based in McKinney, Texas as a foster, mentor, board member, event planner, social media lead and more, I've gained knowledge and learned so much! I am familiar with medications, oral and injectable and comfortable administering if needed. I have fostered pregnant dogs, birthed litters and raised them, fostered 150 lb great danes and a 15 lb chihuahua. Our most recent two pets were a black lab that passed away of old age and currently own a 40 lb mutt. I love dogs and miss fostering since we travel on the road. I have also helped care for my Mom's 90 lb Cane Corso who had to have insulin injections twice per day.
“She was awesome! We were in town for the weekend, needed a sitter for Max for Saturday, and she was able to accommodate us. Will definitely go back when we come back to Syracruse! Max had fun and slept like a baby that night lol She was easy to reach by text, responded in an appropriate amount of time, and her property was away from the road, giving us piece of mind. Highly recommend.”

“Susan looked after my dog Gainsley for a week while I was on vacation. I can not say enough good things about how well Susan took care of Gainsley while I was away. My dog is a rescue dog and very hesitant to attach herself with adults that she does not know. Susan understood Gainsley s needs completely. Susan regularly sent me pictures to constantly reassure me that Gainsley was happy. I can not thank her enough.”

“My puppy comes to Daylin everyday of the week for daycare and he has the best time! Amazing sitter my puppy loves her so much and she takes care of him with so much love and attention everyday”

About: I have always had a way with animals. They seem able to feel the peace and caring in me so that aren’t afraid.I am personable and genuinely care for people and animals . I am 58 years old and have extra time to take care of your pet. I don’t work a full time job anymore so I am available mostly anytime I am needed If you need me to stay in your home to care for your pet, I am respectful of your house and everything within it. I own my house and know the anxiety of leaving someone you don’t know in your home wondering what your home will look like when you get back. Your home will look exactly the same as it did when you left. Possibly even clear than when you left.

“Stephanie takes care of the dogs like they are her own! We get pictures of play time, running with her dog Sophie, tonight there was a wonderful picture of our dogs sleeping on the floor because they were so tired of all the fun when they visit Stephanie. We give her the highest rating, and would bring our dogs back anytime! What a gem!”

“Mariana is an absolutely amazing dog sitter. Not only did she take great care of Mocha, but she gave me many tips on different training methods I can use on Mocha. On top of all that, she took many cute pictures and videos of my dog that she shared with me through the day. I felt at ease leaving my dog there seeing how Mariana treated her. Mocha definitely had a great day with her and will be looking forward to seeing her again.”

“Sara is amazing. She created the most wonderful holiday for my darling Jesse. Sara also has other animals which were wonderful and had welcomed Jesse with a playful heart.❤️ I can’t put into words how special of a caretaker she is😁”

“Krissy was absolutely terrific with our pup! Calm and caring, with regular updates throughout the day - and went above and beyond during a storm and power outage to make sure she was safe and cared for. We really appreciate her, and would highly recommend!”

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Oswego commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
