“Ellen was amazing! My dog has some separation anxiety and she was so comforting! Her communication was quick and the updates put me at ease on our trip! She definitely has a lot of knowledge and experience with dogs!”

“My dogs were so well taken care of by Ms Benae! She sent tons of pics of them playing, snuggling, and doing fun activities. She even gave them treats and toys. I am so thankful and will be booking with her in the future.”

“My dog, Ryder, enjoyed his stay with Charlie and his dogs. Charlie was very accommodating. We set up a meet and greet for our dogs and they ended up playing for 2 hours! I was updated daily, however much I requested. I only had to provide food and anything else I specifically wanted to bring. Charlie had an extra kennel and plenty of toys. He did walks with Ryder and made sure he got all that lab energy out. We’re back home now and Ryder’s going to sleep for a few days. He’s worn out from his great weekend!! I’m looking forward to using Charlie and his family again.”

“Majorca was an awesome sitter for both my dogs. Daily pics of them playing and having fun. She also was very flexible with pickup and dropoff times. Would highly recommend her.”

“Emily is wonderful because she has a peaceful and calm demeanor and she truly cares for your pet. I will definitely bring my dog, who is 14.5 years old, back to Emily to take care of her, when I come back for vacation. Thank you, Emily, for your outstanding care and support.”

“Madison is amazing! She is so prompt with communication. She sent updates and pictures, and went above and beyond to love our dog and make us feel at ease while out of town! She loves animals and made the whole process easy! I cannot recommend her enough!”

“Dan took exceptional care of both our dogs. 14 year old Staffy and our 6 year old German shepherd cross. I would recommend him for any type of dog! Definitely use him again.”

“Staci and her family are absolutely wonderful! We felt super comfortable leaving our puppy, Baker, in their care. She sent us several cute pictures on our trip that made us smile. We 100% recommend her and hope to use her boarding services again in the future.”

“Joy was amazing with my dog Theo! I’m usually very nervous about leaving him with someone new, but Joy let us come by for a meet and greet prior to my trip. I can honestly say after meeting her I had no doubts and felt very comfortable leaving with him in her care. Her communication was great and she made sure to send pictures and all updates. Her dog Fang was also a sweetheart and got along great with Theo. She went above and beyond to make sure my dog felt at home and I could tell he loved being there. I will not hesitate to rebook in the future and very thankful I found her!”

“She did a great job. She took on a new puppy and kept us updated with daily photos. It was our first time boarding our puppy and I felt comfortable with all the good reviews she received in the past. Would trust her again with Lola in the future.”

“We really appreciate the care that Deke gave to our Luna. The daily pictures and messages were wonderful, and greatly appreciated. We look forward to having him as a sitter again!”

“I’m truly grateful for the quick response to care for my sweet puppy. It was our first time using a sitter but I’m so happy that Richard has dogs of his own for my pup to socialize a bit! Knowing this and seeing pics during his stay definitely relieved my anxiety. If you are looking for a reliable sitter for your furry loved one, then choose Richard! 😊”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life. I currently have 3 dogs that I’ve raised from puppies. I started off dog sitting for my family and some friends, ranging from small to large and young to old. I have experience administering medications such as pills, supplements, and needles. I’ll treat your pup just like my own! I work full-time, so I am available to do drop-ins and walks on the weekends. I can board your pup at my home on any day of the week if they are good with other dogs and babies. My husband works from home most days, so boarded dogs will receive care throughout the day while I am at work. Dogs are never left alone more than 6 hours. For drop ins and walks- I’ll follow your care instructions and provide you updates/pictures. For boarded dogs- We have a large fenced yard for our dogs to run around and play together! Dogs are free to roam the house but can be crated if needed.
“Nagini loved his stay, and they were so communicative sweet and helpful throughout the process. My booking was very last minute I appreciated them so much they were so welcoming and understanding to my circumstance. Definitely recommend will be rebooking.”

Andrew was great with my overly energetic, and strong, pup! Thank you for making me feel my Scarlet was well taken care of, and that I had no worries leaving her with you. We will for sure be sending Scarlet your way next time we need someone to keep our pup happy while we are away! Thank you again.
I couldn’t be happier with the care my dog Lauren received! She had such a great time staying with her sitter and playing with her two sweet dogs — they all got along perfectly. I loved getting updates and photos of Lauren having fun and feeling right at home. It’s clear that she was loved and well cared for. Highly recommend! 🐾🩷

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Oriole Beach home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Oriole Beach.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Oriole Beach sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
