About: I've taken care of both dogs and cats and have owned both! Pet sitting isn't just a job for me, it brings me joy! I've been around animals all my life and I am also bilingual! I work part time only 8am to 1pm so I am fully available after that! On Saturdays I work 9-3! I'd love to fit in pet care anywhere after! About: Hello, my name is Sherri. I am a mom of six, Nonna to three grandbabies, and a mom to two fur babies: a Bassdore (Basset hound/Lab mix) named Abbey and a tabby named Birdie. Although I am new to pet sitting, I have cared for dogs (mostly) and cats throughout my life. As adults, my late husband and I have owned numerous breeds of dogs, from Chihuahuas and German Shepherds to Siberian Huskies, an Akita, and several mixed breeds. I also frequently look after my daughter's three dogs when she goes out of town. I've used Rover and other pet sitting services many times when I travel, so I understand how reassuring it is to know your pets are well cared for while you’re away. I am available for Drop-In Visits and Boarding. My kids (still at home), ages 9 and 18, love all animals, so your fur baby will never lack attention! I am currently not working, so I have some flexibility. I do have to take my high schooler to school and pick him up from after-school activities, and I have to be home to put my 3rd grader, who is special needs, on the bus and be home in the afternoon to get him off the bus. For Boarding: I have a spacious fenced yard with a covered patio. My Basset Hound Lab mix, Abbey, enjoys playdates. If your pet prefers solitude, I can close off the living room and dining/kitchen area to keep them separated. My boys, who are still at home, are 9 and 18, and they will give lots of love and attention. For drop-in visits, I am happy to provide any necessary care and handle extra tasks such as watering plants, retrieving the mail, or taking out the trash. However, I cannot do walks due to a wonky knee, which limits my walking distance.

Although I’m new to Rover, I have years of hands-on pet sitting experience. For the past 10 years I’ve regularly cared for a friend’s two dogs, including several week-long stays while they traveled. I’ve also cared for another friend’s two dogs on multiple occasions over the past two years. I have experience caring for senior pets and those with medical needs. I’m comfortable giving oral medications, and I currently give daily insulin injections to my 14-year-old diabetic cat, so I understand the importance of consistency, patience, and careful attention to instructions. I’ve owned dogs of all sizes and personalities, including a Boxer, Blue Heeler, and Chihuahua, as well as multiple cats over the years. Today I care for my senior diabetic cat, so I know how much trust it takes to leave a beloved pet in someone else’s hands. You can count on me to be dependable, communicative, and attentive. I’ll treat your pets like members of my own family, send updates and photos, and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry family members! During the school year, I’m available Monday through Friday after 4:00 p.m. and have open availability on weekends. During school breaks and summer vacation, my schedule is much more flexible, allowing for daytime walks and drop in visits as well. I provide care exclusively in my clients’ homes . I always follow your care instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise, litter box cleaning, potty breaks, and any special needs your pet may have. During every visit, I’ll make sure your pet has fresh food and water, plenty of attention and affection (if they enjoy it!), and that your home is left just as I found it. I pay close attention to your pet’s behavior and well-being and will let you know immediately if I notice anything unusual. Safety and trust are my top priorities. I always make sure doors, gates, and fences are secure before leaving, use leashes on every walk unless you’ve instructed otherwise in a safely enclosed area, and never introduce your pet to unfamiliar animals. I’ll also send regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is happy, safe, and receiving the same loving care I would give my own.
