Rachael and Joe are wonderful! At our meet and greet they introduced our dog slowly to the pack. Rachael is very focused on the dogs' comfort and safety, and very knowledgeable about canine behaviors and needs.. After the daycare session our guy was relaxed and happy! We'll definitely be booking more doggy daycare dates!

About: Hi, I’m Natalie! — a lifelong animal lover and devoted pet parent to birds and a tortoise who both have their own rooms which allows for complete separation while your animal(s) are here! With years of hands-on experience caring for pets of all kinds, I know every animal deserves personalized attention and love. Because I do have epilepsy, I provide pet care at my home, where your furry, feathered, or scaled friend will be safe, happy, and treated like family while you’re away. Although I do only take 1 CLIENT at a time, if your house has more than 1 animal, I ABSOLUTELY allow all animals from the same household at the same time! I do work from home which allows me full attention to be able to play, feed, let outside, and anything else that your pet may need, want or require! Although I do only take 1 CLIENT at a time, if your house has more than 1 animal, I ABSOLUTELY allow all animals from the same household at the same time! I have a fully fenced in backyard which allows for lots of outside zoomies, and also a couple balls for some outside fun! I do have a XL- “Kong” crate if needed, I also have food and water bowls, I never mind if dogs are allowed on furniture and or beds. I also have experience with senior dogs, administering meds and dogs that may need to be diapered!

About: My name is pronounced like Taya. I have been providing pet care personally and professionally since I was in high school. When I started, I genuinely just loved being around animals and wanted a way make an income while doing something I enjoyed. Years later and I still hold the same sentiment. My family and I have always welcomed dogs and cats into our homes and cared for them as additional kids in the household. I took a break from pet care to focus on building myself and my goals, but now as a homeowner of three years, I want to extend my home and services again to your fur babies. I work full-time, 100% remotely from home for a law firm located in Pennsylvania. I am always at home, especially during the weekdays, with my six pets (two dogs and four cats). I have a flexible schedule and can arrange my work day accordingly. I am able to work with you and your pet's needs, so just communicate with me! I have a 0.3 acre fenced yard that my two dogs absolutely love to race around in. They get great exercise out there and are able to release their high energy. I am attuned to my animal's needs and provide a lot of supervision and care since I am usually at home. The same way that I would treat my own pets/home is exactly how I would treat and respect yours. I am reliable, punctual, and compassionate.

About: I have trained puppies, designed programs to solve behavior problems in adult dogs, cared for senior dogs, specializing in multi-dog households with a mix of all the above. I am currently designing software for a start-up idea so my schedule is very flexible. Ideal hours for day visits are between 8am - 9pm, overnight from 7pm - 9am “ish” and always available for emergencies. Different pets have different wants/needs so I will adapt my gameplan accordingly. Each visit will include some form of exercise, training and lots of love. My yard is fenced and my house is puppy-proofed. Lots of soft and shaded places to nap, inside and out. I use pest control and landscaping services so the yard is virtually free of stinging or biting insects and dangerous weeds or flowers. Clients can expect me to care for their pets and their property with utmost respect for house rules, privacy and courtesy.

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was young. As an adult I got involved in helping train law enforcement dogs. After replying I came back and decided to become a professional dog trainer. I work overnight shifts a few days a week but am available most days during the day. I spend a lot of time working with my own dogs and can offer training if you are interested. I have a fenced yard and three dogs. I have a kennel room that allows for plenty of room for care and a basement that I use as a training facility. My dogs can be rotated on a basis if your dog is not pet friendly.

Miss Lauren was professional and provided excellent care from the first message to her first time spent with Owen. She came to meet us first so she could learn more about Owen and the things to make their time together go smoothly. I appreciate the care Miss Lauren provided and was so helpful to ensure Owen was comfortable with her. I look forward to having her watch Owen again.

About: I’m absolutely obsessed with animals and have been caring for pets for 17 years! Over the years, I’ve cared for countless dogs in their own homes, welcomed pups into my home while their families were away, and worked with rescue organizations and foster dogs from time to time. I currently have one senior pup of my own, Bentley, an 11-year-old Whippet/Lab mix. He absolutely loves having doggy guests and is happiest when he has a friend around! I do have a part-time job that takes me away from home for approximately 1-3 hours at a time during the week. When boarding dogs, my fiance works a different shift, as well as my sister being available, we between them can provide additional check-ins when needed. I’m always upfront about my schedule so you know exactly what to expect. 🐶 Safety First Your pet’s safety is my absolute top priority. I’m a bit of a worrier when it comes to the animals in my care, which means I’m constantly keeping an eye on everyone! Dogs in my care are never left unattended together, whether they’re inside or outside, and all dogs are separated during meals. At night, friendly dogs are welcome to have free rein of the house..and if they end up sleeping on the bed surrounded by a pile of dogs, I certainly won’t complain! ❤️ I have a 42” metal kennel and mat available if your dog prefers or requires crate time, although it rarely gets used. I also have pet first-aid kits at home and in my car and am comfortable handling minor cuts, scrapes, and other basic pet-care situations. I have also personally administered insulin injections to a diabetic dog belonging to my best friend. 🏡 A Home Full of Dog Supplies I absolutely spoil my pets, so I’m well equipped for furry guests! We have multiple dog beds, food and water dishes, food risers, toys, treats, and plenty of tennis balls. I’m happy to follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, medications, walks, playtime, and bedtime routines. The one exception is bones/long-lasting chews when multiple dogs are together. Bentley can become protective of them, so those are simply put away during group time. Safety first! ❤️ Rescue & Foster Experience I’ve also worked with rescues and occasionally foster dogs. If I have a foster or additional dog in my home during your pet’s stay, I will always let you know ahead of time. Any foster dogs staying in my home are required to be appropriately vaccinated, dog-friendly, and a good fit for a multi-dog environment. 📸 Communication I know how hard it can be to leave your pets behind, so I make communication a priority. I send daily photos and updates and stay in contact throughout your pet’s stay. If I’m away from the house, I’ll keep you informed about my schedule as well. My goal is for you to be able to relax and enjoy your time away knowing that your pets are safe, loved, and being treated like part of the family. 🐕 Meet Bentley! Bentley is my 11-year-old Whippet/Lab mix and resident senior gentleman. He’s an attention seeker who will probably decide you’re there specifically to throw a tennis ball for him rather than meet me and introduce yourself! 😂 He still enjoys playing, but these days he mostly prefers fetch, attention, and occasionally being chased around the yard. He is also a jumper, so consider yourself warned—wearing something nice or white when we meet may be a risky decision! 😉 Bentley has spent years around other dogs and loves having company. He’s very much the welcoming committee of our household. 🩺 Vaccinations & Preventatives For the safety of every animal in my care, all pets must be current on vaccinations and appropriate flea, tick, heartworm, and other parasite preventatives. We take walks and visit different areas, so keeping everyone protected against fleas, ticks, mosquitoes, worms, and other preventable illnesses is extremely important. Please note that while I take extensive precautions to maintain a clean and safe environment, I cannot be held responsible for viruses, parasites, or illnesses that an animal may contract despite appropriate preventative measures. Lots of walking, mind game stimulations, and more! We wake up around 6:00 for our first morning potty break. We eat at about 7am until 7:45. Some dogs prefer to go out promptly after for another break. At 9am we take our first walk. Noon-3 is nap time. 3:30 another 1-3mile walk. 5pm dinner. After dinner is another break outside. 7pm another shorter walk. Bedtime is around 9pm. All pets will go outside to have one last break. I take every safety precaution I can to make sure everyone is safe, especially during feedings. With the use of gates and rooms, everyone is separated until finished.

About: In-home insured training, boarding, and daycare business with 10+ years of professional experience with dogs, from working at a shelter, fostering dogs, vet tech experience, training in a commercial kennel, and running my own training business. I am home most days full time, however some days I leave for 2-3 hours for private training clients, in that time all dogs are kenneled or otherwise contained for safety. The dogs have over a quarter acre fenced in yard to enjoy. I do regular activities, enrichment, and occasional field trips to ensure your pup has a vacation as great as your's while you're gone. All my time is dedicated to caring for, playing with, and hanging out with the dogs. I utilize gates and different rooms to separate dogs out to ensure that they are paired up not just as dogs who tolerates one another, but as dogs who truly enjoy one another's company and thrive together. I require all dogs be crate trained for safety at night, meals, and when I have private training clients at the house.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Old Jamestown commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 721 sitters in Old Jamestown, 85% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
