Scarlett was great with our shy pup! She showed patience and was very caring towards Pearl. She was very communicative and sent pics and updates regularly. Added bonus, she was a great house guest! Pearl warmed up to her quickly and we would definitely book her again!

We left Salsa with a new house sitter (Amanda) and worried a bit, but when we returned all things were good, even better than expected. Amanda was great.

Taylor was awesome from the get go! She accommodated our requests for dates by rearranging her schedule so she could care for our dogs. She checked in daily morning and nightly to put our minds at ease that our dogs were ok. We would highly recommend Taylor’s services!

We knew this would work out perfectly. Lydia cares so deeply about animals. When I saw her social media post,I knew this was the perfect job for her! While she was at our house, she didn't sit still, she did other things around the house like laundry and dishes. She spent so much time with flint, he needed a big nap when she left! Thank you so much lydia!! Looking forward to our next booking with you!

About: I’ve always loved helping take care of animals! I have dogs of my own and I help my family and friends with their animals as well! I have mostly helped with dogs but I have helped take care of a few cats as well for my friends! Anywhere from staying with them, walking them, or just spending time with them! I will be sure to love your fur babies like I do my own! So I currently work full time at the hospital on night shift! My schedule is always different so it will make it harder to stay nights! But I can easily fit in walking, letting them out, feeding them, and loving on them! If your dogs were to stay with me I do have a fenced in yard and 2 other dogs to keep them company and play with! I could crate them if needed as I do crate my own dogs when I am not home! Me and my cousin so let our dogs sleep in the beds with us and we do let them on the furniture! We also have multiple toys that they can play with as well!

About: I know because of having my own pets that peace of mind is what I need most when entrusting my pets with others and I strive to give you and your pet as much attention as they need and you expect. Just give more some important info about your dog ie. Frequency of walks, their typical schedule, special needs and I will give them what you give them everyday. I want your pet to be on the same routine they are on when you are there with them. If you want someone that understands how important a pet is to you and your family then I am the pet sitter for you. Please feel free to contact me at your convenience to discuss what I can do to help provide you with peace of mind when you need some help when you are away from your little furry friend. I make myself available any day of the week when I am needed. Just give me a few hours notice and I will be there to help you 🙏 My dog is almost always with me. I don't like leaving him alone very long and prefer not to leave him on a tether at all

I do live in an apartment but during the dog your dog will be baby gated into the bathroom with plenty of room to run around and enjoy themselves while I am at work. We also have a dog park that we will frequent and love to go on plenty of walks. As long as I am home your dog will not be put up in a crate or kennel because my dog won’t be

I would recommend Andrew to anyone and have no reservations booking him again. My two adult pitbulls adore Andrew. I'm borderline concerned that they like him more than me. Andrew was in contact with me everyday I was away. He sent videos and photos as well as exact times when they started and ended walks. Additionally Andrew asked permission before doing things. Despite being a fairly relaxed person with people using the amenities, I truly appreciated Andrew asking for my consent prior to using them. Definitely give Andrew a call and see if he's available to watch your fur babies. I'm glad I did.

Louisa did an amazing job! I have a kitty with special care/feeding instructions that require attention to detail that she followed perfectly. She also took great care of my home and provided updates on everything as I away. I could tell she genuinely cares about animals just from our initial meet & greet too. I always get so nervous leaving my cat when I go on trips but Louisa absolutely earned my trust and I will be booking with her again in the future for sure as long as she’s still pet sitting. Thank you so much again :)

About: I’ve been a dog and cat groomer for 4 years. I grew up on a farm taking care of all the animals from horses, cows, pigs, chickens , dogs , cats , turkeys etc. I’m very patient with animals who take more time to get to know new people who come into their lives and I love my senior animals who take a little longer on our walks :) I just moved to Florida from Arizona. This will be my full time job for now until I am able to save up to start my own mobile dog and cat business and hopefully be able to provide grooming services to all my lovely clients I am very reliable and flexible. I have always been the neighborhood help for pet care when my neighbors went on vacation. I’ve helped with feeding their farm animal and their indoor animals . I always follow the instructions giving to me and I always show up on time !

About: I’ve taken care of every kind of dog since I was about 10 years old. Throughout the years I have cared for my neighbors and family friends pets along side my own pups. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine because I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate time and attention to the pets I care for. I plan my days so that walks, feeding times, playtime, and check-ins are done consistently and on schedule. When caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, my priority is making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while maintaining their normal routine as much as possible. I carefully follow the owner’s instructions for feeding schedules, medications (if needed), potty breaks, and exercise so their pet experiences as little disruption as possible. In my home, I provide a calm, clean, and pet-friendly environment where pets can relax, play, and receive lots of attention. I make sure they have a comfortable place to rest, regular potty breaks, supervised playtime, and plenty of affection. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I treat their space with the same respect I would my own. I stick closely to the pet’s usual routine, provide walks and playtime, keep food and water fresh, and make sure the home stays tidy. I also provide updates and photos so owners can feel reassured that their pets are happy and well cared for while they’re away. My goal is always to make pets feel loved, safe, and stress-free while their owners are gone.

FAQs for House Sitting - Ochlocknee

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Ochlocknee on Rover is $33.3 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 69 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Ochlocknee. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Ochlocknee walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Ochlocknee maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Ochlocknee choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
