“Thank you Austin for your patience with Jax and me. . Jax really struggles with new people. Apparently, humans are scary. We will schedule you again in the future. 😊”

About: We are huge dog lovers and have our own crew of rescue dogs. We have been involved in dog rescue for many years on and off! Noella is a SAHM. So she is generally home unless out on and adventure or running errands/appointments. Niles has Saturday and Sunday off and is home evenings. We have 3 indoor cameras so we can check in while we are work or away for any reason. We own the home and property and have almost 2 acres, with a large portion securely fenced. We pair your dog with our dogs that are appropriate for age, play, and general personality similarities. Little dogs can be separate from large dogs if needed/preferred. Dogs are always supervised- whether indoors or out! We just want to extend our love and passion for dogs to others! Young dogs-seniors are all welcome in all shapes and sizes! Our home is their home! We have a secure indoor kennel and outdoor kennel if needed. Special diets are no problem! We are willing to do anything for your dog that you do! Pictures and updates are always provided! We do require that all dogs be fully vaccinated and on flea/ tick medication.

About: Animals are our passion, and we’ve built a life around caring for them. With over 20 years of combined experience caring for animals, we’ve looked after dogs and cats of all ages—from energetic puppies to senior pets needing extra love and attention. We also have extensive experience with reptiles, small animals, and pets with medical needs. Our home is full of love (and fur)! Our oldest dog is 13, and our youngest is nearly 1, so we’re familiar with a wide range of behaviors, energy levels, and care requirements. Melissa previously worked as a vet tech in training, so we’re also fully comfortable administering medications and understanding medical instructions. I’m a U.S. Army veteran, and my military background has helped shape me into someone who’s dependable, organized, and calm under pressure. I bring those qualities into every pet sitting job, aiming to keep your pets happy, healthy, and stress-free while you’re away. Whether your pet needs early-morning walks, medication, or just someone to stick to their routine—I’m here to help. We’re currently available any time, any day—including holidays and last-minute bookings. Our schedule is 100% flexible, so we can easily accommodate your pet’s unique routine. When caring for pets in your home or on their usual walking routes, safety and trust are always top priorities. We take the time to understand your pet’s environment, routines, and needs—whether it’s a quiet walk through the neighborhood or special instructions for your home while you’re away. We’re respectful of your space and treat your home with care and professionalism. You can count on us to follow your instructions closely, lock up securely, and maintain a clean, safe environment for your pets. During walks, we stick to routes your dog is familiar with (unless instructed otherwise) and always keep them leashed and under control. We’re alert to potential hazards like traffic, other dogs, or wildlife and will adjust as needed to keep your pet safe and calm. Communication is key—we’ll keep you updated and will always reach out if anything seems off or needs attention.
About: Since I was young, I have always had large breed dogs in the household, Rottweilers and German Shepards, and have always been comfortable with them. While in high-school and college, my fiance and I raised puppies for Guide Dogs for the Blind, 4 of our 5 puppies finished the program and were matched with people in need. We helped co-raise around 6 additional puppies as well. We also love cats, we have a tabby-calico mix named Teva, a lyxn point siamese named Minnie, and a gray siamese mix named Baby. Pima, one of the puppies that did not complete the program has been with us for 11 years now, and we have loved every moment of it. Unfortunately Pima passed away from cancer, but we do have a new addition to the family! We now have a big boy named Koa, an 80 lb American Rottweiler mix we adopted after he was found roaming Lacey Wa. He was very aggressive and untrained when we adopted him, but now he is the prime example of a model dog with our training! My schedule is very open. My wife is a school teacher so I do prefer to have the weekend off, but weekend visits are fine as well. I do have a fully fenced yard, our cats are indoor only, but one does go outside on a leash because she is adventurous. Very respectful of other's space.
“Madisyn has been taking care of our dog Leo for several months. As witnessed from the photos she sends, he LOVES her! I come home to a contented and happy pet! Madisyn is also very respectful of our house and leaves it as she found it. We will continue entrusting Leo's care with her for months to come!”

About: With over 20 years of experience caring for dogs and cats, I offer calm, full-time attention in a quiet home with a large yard and a peaceful resident dog. I’m confident administering medications, as I regularly care for my own pets' health needs. I understand the unique needs of both senior pets and spirited cats, and I’m happy to provide gentle walks, playtime, and lots of affection. Your pet’s comfort and safety are always my top priority. I am currently home all day and available for walks and love. For walks and home visits Tuesday - Friday I am available on a twice daily basis. Sat, Sun, and Monday I am available any time. While I don't offer pet care in my home at this time, I may in the future. We live in a bright spacious apartment near Briggs YMCA
“Chelsie went above and beyond taking care of my dog. I know my dog felt cared for and loved her walks. Chelsie always took pictures and updated me with notes. That meant so much to me. She was reliable and punctual. She gave my dog a great experience and I feel super grateful to her. Thank you Chelsie.”

About: Hi! I work as a Paraeducator at a school, so I have summers off and I can’t think of a better way to spend that time than caring for dogs! I’ve always been an animal lover, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. Whether your pup needs playtime, snuggles, walks, or just a calm and caring presence while you’re away, I’m here to help! ☺️ My schedule is pretty open during the Summer besides spending every other weekend with friends and family. Once I go back to work in September, I will only be able to house sit as long as it is in reasonable distance from my workplace. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I follow all instructions closely whether that’s feeding schedules, walk times, medication, or favorite toys and treats. I know every pet is different, so I pay attention to their personality and comfort level, whether they’re energetic and playful or more shy and relaxed. I will also make sure to keep the home clean and secure while you’re away. I’ll give updates and photos so you can feel confident that your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for. My goal is always to treat your home and your pet with the same respect and love I would want for my own.
“Ruby was absolutely wonderful! She walked Duke all week and was a great communicator throughout. She kept us updated every day, was reliable, and clearly cared for him like he was her own. We felt so at ease knowing Duke was in such good hands. Highly recommend her!”

“Veronica has been amazing!! She was available very last minute (the day before) when I needed someone to walk my newly adopted dog. She’s been an amazing communicator, willing to do the little things like wipe my dogs paws after a walk or use the same command words that I use for my dogs. The photos of her walks are an extra touch that warms my heart. Would definitely recommend Veronica for your animal needs.”

About: Iv always grown up around animals especially dogs. From a family setting to being just me and my dog in college. I’m a current service member so I have access on JBLM as well. I only have my one pup and getting her a fun friend for a few days is fun for us both. I’m currently off work all summer so I’m usually taking my dog on walks 2+ times a day and just getting out to enjoy the PNW sun. Super careful at first and then loosen up when I learn how they want to play and interact. Some dogs want go play 24/7 and some just like to be a potato. Both are great to me
About: As an experienced dog sitter, I go beyond basic care by truly understanding each dog’s unique personality and needs. I have a natural ability to read their body language and adapt to their moods, ensuring they feel comfortable, happy, and secure while you’re away. Whether it’s administering medications, following specific dietary plans, or providing enriching playtime and walks, I tailor my approach to each dog’s routine. My calm and attentive demeanor helps even the most anxious dogs feel at ease, and I maintain clear communication with pet owners for peace of mind. Having cared for my own senior Pomeranian, Zeus, until he was 14, I am particularly attuned to the special needs of older dogs, including administering medications and adjusting routines for their comfort. I currently have an year and a half year old Yellow Labrador Retriever named cooper, so well experienced with puppies I’m currently home full-time, so I have a very flexible schedule and can give your pets lots of attention throughout the day. Whether your dog needs frequent potty breaks, long walks, playtime, feeding schedules, medication, or just extra cuddles and companionship, I’m able to be there consistently. I love getting outside for walks and making sure dogs stay mentally and physically happy while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I treat every animal like they’re my own and take the time to learn their routine, personality, and needs. I’m experienced with dogs of different ages, energy levels, and temperaments, including senior dogs and puppies. I always keep a close eye during walks, potty breaks, feeding, and playtime to make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in a calm environment.
About: Before college, I lived on a farm. I have experience caring for animals of all kinds and an understanding of pet behavior. My love for and background with animals ensure your pet will receive the best care possible. I'm a college student home for summer break and can fit pet care into my schedule flexibly. I'd love to spend my free time going for runs or just hanging out with your pet! I'll follow your animal's routine to ensure they feel comfortable, while offering lots of playtime and attention. About: Pets are not just an accessory to show off or toss to the side at the end of the day. They are an everyday cast member to our lives and a part of our families! My love for animals has stemmed from a lifetime of being around animals growing up in a farm town and I will ensure your furry family members feel loved, safe and cared for while you’re away! I currently work part time so my schedule is very flexible! I would be able to adjust my part time work as needed to better fit your schedule if need be! I have a fenced backyard for your puppers/doggos to run around and play in as well as a decent sized covered porch area for us to hang out and cool off under from playtime! If you crate trained your animals I do not have any crates at my home so if you would like them to remain in crates during an overnight stay I would ask that you bring a crate please and thank you! In clients home I will care for your furry ones to ensure they don’t feel as if they are unsafe in their own home!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
