“Dylan did a fantastic job with our menagerie while we were gone for just over a week. Dylan had to deal with one dog and three cats (though two cats decided to play invisible for the duration - they are very skittish). I believe Dylan went over and above what we asked for and we would certainly have no hesitation in recommending Dylan to any prospective clients. Dylan is obviously a true animal lover. We will definitely be requesting Dylan look after our pets in the future should we require this type of service again. Dylan provided regular updates with photos and it was obvious from the huge grin on our little dogs face (she's a smiler) that she was loving every minute of the attention. One of the cats even showed face to get in on the action. A heartfelt thanks goes out to Dylan for the service he provided.”

“Marian did an amazing job by dropping in and checking in on my shy and timid kitty! She went the extra mile to make sure my cat took her pill and made sure she ate (my cat stops eating when her people are away). I’d highly recommend her to trust that she’ll take care of your fur babies when you’re away.”
“I can’t say enough good things about Megan! She is amazing! She was able to come in on such short notice due to a prior sitter not working out. She dealt with my animals when they were the most unruly. I swear, they pulled out all the tricks just for her and handled it so well. I would trust her with my whole farm any day! My dogs, sheep, chickens, rabbits and cat have never been in such good hands. Thank you, Megan for being a literal God send during my vacation!”

“Mason was a phenomenal pet sitter. She was able to fulfill my need for a pet sitter during a holiday weekend, given less than 2 weeks notice. Mason gave prompt reports on my cat and even fed my aquarium fish and watered my indoor plants. She was patient with my feisty indoor cat, responding mindfully to my cat’s communication cues demanding space. I highly recommend Mason! 5/5 stars”

“Kathleen was very kind and patient with our reactive dog. She was honest with how our dog reacted to her and made sure not to push her so she didn't make her uncomfortable. We would highly recommend Kathleen.”

“Lila was wonderful, thoughtful and gentle with Sparky. We came home and he was happy and we felt that he was well taken care of. The daily check ins were fun and we felt comfortable and relaxed that he was with a kind and compassionate person. Thank you again for all you did.”

“Colleen is wonderful with our 2 German Shepherds (at one point three!). She's prompt, very responsive, and caring! We are so thankful for Colleen whenever we are away for long weekends or family vacations. Thank you!”

“Julia has watched our dogs for years. She has taken the time to get to know each one and understands exactly what they need. We have a a few dogs that need medication and Julia always ensures they get what they need. I would definitely recommend Julia to anyone looking for an honest, reliable and caring individual for their dog(s) needs.”
“Cassandra took excellent care of our 17 month old yellow lab 3 times a day for almost two weeks. We received updates and photos after each visit, which we really appreciated. Emily looks great and was very happy to see us when we came home, but we think that she will miss Cassandra’s visits.”

“Couldn’t be happier with Christine and how she took care of our three fur babies. Each one has a very unique personality and two out of three need to be won over which Christine did quickly. Her checks-ins were both full of information and very thoughtful with lots of pictures showing how well they were behaving while we were away. We will definitely use Christine again.”

“Faith was an exceptional dog sitter who exceeded all expectations. She was punctual every day, ensuring that our pups received consistent care and attention. Faith dedicated 30 minutes each day to sit with the dogs while they did their business, showing her commitment to their well-being. Additionally, she captured lots of great pictures of the pups, which was a delightful bonus for us. Her reliability and thoughtful care made a significant difference, and we highly recommend her services to anyone in need of a trustworthy and attentive dog sitter.”

“Aria was on time and communicated quickly and efficiently for both the meet & greet and her first drop in visit with my 7mo puppy. She provided a detailed update at the end of visit and included some of my new favorite photos of my dog! She’s easy to coordinate with and I’ll definitely be booking recurring visits :)”

About: I’ve owned cats and dogs my entire life. I currently own two standard Goldendoodles and foster cats/kittens for the Hero Rescue. I have been an animal lover since I was a small child. I have patience with pets that need some time adapting to a new person in their area. I work full time so pets that are crate trained would work best for boarding in my home. If you would rather me come for drop ins I can stay and make sure they are fed, have water, get play time, and plenty of love while I’m there. Dogs in my home would have a fenced in yard for supervised potty breaks and play time. I also have enough space to throw a ball/toy for fetch inside for extra exercise. They would have my 2 Goldendoodles for company but any boarders would need to be crate trained so I don’t have to worry about them getting into anything while I’m at work. I also have cameras in my home so I can check in on everyone throughout the day. Drop ins would get attention, love, and play time while I’m at your home with them.

About: I have taken care of dogs and house sat since I was 15! I have helped our neighbors and family friends with watching their dogs. I love helping people in any way and also love caring for pets! Whether it's morning walks, afternoon drop-ins, or overnight stays, I’m able to give pets the time and attention they need. I love spending my free time with animals, so pet care isn’t just something I fit in, it’s something I genuinely enjoy and look forward to! Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Nottingham
Marian was fantastic with my cat! He’s usually pretty shy and doesn’t like to play with the sitters, but that was not the case here. It looks like he warmed up quickly. Marian took great update photos, followed all instructions to the letter, and was very punctual. Overall, she did a great job! We will definitely be reaching out to her again for future cat sitting needs.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Nottingham. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
