About: *Please ask about any dates! I work full time, but many evenings are free for drop-ins or a walk/play time!* I have taken care of animals beginning with my parents' help when I was 8 years old. I helped care for neighbors and friends' pets while on vacation and often volunteered to exercise my furry friends or grab a canine snuggle after school. I have helped assist in the training process for puppies and given medications to all ages of dogs. I love all breeds and have experience will many sized dogs. Most notable breeds - Yorkshire Terrier, Dachshund, Pomeranian, Schnauzer, Beagle, Bulldog, various Poodle mixes, Labrador, Golden Retriever, Australian Shepherd, Dalmatian, Boxer, Norwegian Elkhound, Greyhound, Pit Bull, Rottweiler, German Shepherd, Newfoundland, Great Dane, Mastiff and many mix breed love bugs. I have experience caring for all kinds of cats, from social and friendly to shy and sassy. I have had several fancy bear hamsters of my own and would love to help with your favorite rodent or hedgehog. I grew up caring for fresh and brackish water fish and understand the basic care of water and amphibian critters. There are very few animals that I would not consider caring for so please ask if you have a seemingly "unusual pet". I am happy to learn about your animal, how to best love them, and care for all their needs while you are away! I am currently working full time, but have a fluctuating schedule. Please ask if you have an extended stay and your furry friend can be left alone at night. I am happy to play with and walk your companion or sit and provide extra pets as needed. I will always be respectful of your wishes and promise to keep your home and your animal(s)' safety as my top priority.

“My wife and I were told about ROVER by a coworker and used Rachel for the first use of ROVER! I can not say enough about this experience! Very prompt and caring for Falcon our 4 year old goldendoodle and watching over our home while we were out! Lots of communication with us on how he was and pictures were sent on each day we were gone! This is an amazing service that I will with out a doubt use again and my first go to will be Rachel!”

“Kaylee watched our two rescue dogs and cat for 6 nights at our house. This was our first time leaving our animals with someone else for multiple days. Our one dog is typically shy and afraid of new people, but Kaylee handled this with ease, and was so patient with her! She was responsive with all of our questions, and updated us each day. We will definitely book with them again.”

About: I started petsitting as a college student in DC in 2010, until I left in 2013. I took a short break, but began petsitting again in Ithaca NY in 2014, running my own business, and stayed very busy until 2020 when covid hit. Since then, I have kept my clients to a select few, very local clients. I have experience with all kinds of animals, but I have finally admitted I'm a crazy dog lady :) I currently work full time but am a homebody outside of work, and animals are my stress relief...so I love being able to spend time with all kinds of animals! When caring for pets in client's homes, I always ensure that they are safe. If there is a fenced in area, I ensure that all gates are secure before letting pets out. If there is no fenced in area, I always ensure that I walk dogs in a safe location and avoid contact with other dogs.

“We are so glad we found such a nice place for our anxious old dog to stay when we have to go out of town. Hanna accommodated all of our dog's needs. We'll definitely use Hanna again.”

“We really appreciated how Sara took care of Biscuit - she was communicative in coordinating before and during the stay, sent cute pics and seemed to get our pup's personality right away. Very thoughtful and reliable!”
