“Christy was amazing while she visited my cats. She took excellent care of them every time she came by and they absolutely loved her. She was incredibly responsive and went above and beyond when I thought my door was unlocked while I was away, coming back to make sure my pets and my home were secure. Would recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will care for your pets like they would.”

About: I love dogs!! I have taken care of dogs for family, friends, and clients for over six years. I have experience with all breeds and sizes. I treat every dog like I would my own: with love, care, and extra treats😉 I am a student with a very flexible routine. My nights are always free and I have large breaks in between classes where I can leave campus. I am very respectful of other people's homes and I leave things exactly as I left them, if not cleaner. I follow instructions closely and thoroughly to ensure a happy client and a happy pup.
About: Hi! My name is Haleigh and I am an animal lover! I have been taking great care of other people's pets for about 10 years now, and I absolutely love doing it. I have had dogs my whole life on top of my experience pet-sitting, so I understand most of their needs and how to take exceptional care of them. I understand that these are not just pets, they are family members, and I always intend to treat them just as that. I have house-sat while taking care of the pets, made drop in visits through out the day, and have walked multiple dogs at once. I am very reliable and attentive. I understand how nerve-wracking it can be to leave them with another person; so I always make sure to do frequent updates over text (unless call is preferred). I do have two dogs of my own so if you’re looking to drop your pet with me, he/she must get along with other dogs! Thank you for your consideration! I only work three days a week so I should have plenty of time to take care of your babies as long as it’s on my days off which I have posted! :) I have a fenced yard and two very friendly and playful dogs to keep yours company. I can also crate your dog or dogs if needed.

“William was awesome! Excellent communication, letting me know when he arrived and left and how the visit went. William sent photos. He was fun and caring. My very nervous and very slow to warm up dog loved him! I will definitely use William again!”

“Candice was great with my dog Kylo! Was patient when first meeting him so he could trust her. Arrived on time each drop in visit, kept the water bowl filled, took great care of Kylo, and sent picture updates each time!”

“Blanca was incredible. My cats loved her. She was punctual and professional. She went above and beyond playing with them. She even brought in my packages (which she didn't have to do, especially since they were heavy). I are so pleased and so grateful to her and Rover.”

About: I have been around dogs my whole life. In my neighborhood growing up I was the go to dog sitter!! I am also a proud dog mom myself I am a college student I have one class a day, so I am REALLY flexible with what times I can come walk or check in on your dog. I normally have chill weekends too. But no matter what I will always make time for a pup!! I live in a dog friendly apartment ground unit, we have 2 dog parks on site and I have a weiner dog at home too.
About: I’ve grown up with 2 large dogs my entire life and have always dog sat for my neighbors. I’m young, active and would love to make your pets happy and feel safe. I’m a part time nanny so I have lots of extra time at night or on days off! Feel free to message me for my availability! I know how to properly handle large dogs, dogs that may bite or jump as well as smaller dogs that sleep in crates. I like to let dogs out on a leash to ensure their safety as well as those around.
About: I grew up being the one primarily responsible for taking care of my family’s labradors. I’ve always been an animal lover. My family has both a Boykin Spaniel and a Russian Blue cat. I have also taken care of family friends and neighbors cats and dogs. I love going for walks and playing with furry friends. I’m currently working a flexible part time research job on weekdays so I’ll have plenty of time to give your pets the attention they deserve! I live in a 2 story townhome with a small fenced in yard. My neighborhood is very pet friendly including a dog park. Although I have a cat and dog, they do not live in my townhome, and stay at my family’s house. Your pets would be receiving my full attention! I am very accommodating to any and all requests for your pet needs!

“April did an amazing job with our two cats! They immediately opened up to her and let their personalities shine. She did a great job caring for the boys which included the last minute addition of eye medication which she handled with ease. We will not hesitate to reach out to her for our further pet sitting needs!”

“Great sitter, she took amazing care of my dog and he seemed to love her company. Sent lots of photos during her visit and was very quick to get back to me. 10/10 would highly recommend”

About: I've worked hard to take care of a variety of pets and very much enjoy the work. I love engaging with pets and making sure they're well cared for. I've been entrusted to hold onto keys and door codes and take that very seriously. I like to fit my schedule around animal care as it's my passion. I'd like to be able to do it full time and am working towards that. I treat everyone's home like my own and am sure to show respect while tending to pets. I get everything necessary done then spend some time with the animals to build trust. I take security and safety very seriously and ensure kennels, cages, and all doors are locked.
“Kaylah was incredible with watching both my cats and my dog while my husband and I were on our honeymoon (12 days total). We have used Kaylah 2 times now and she is just wonderful. My dog is always sad to leave when we have to pick her up. It really does show that Kaylah loves animals and treats mine like her own. I 100% would recommend her. She’s awesome!”

“Abby was so good with our 8 month old puppy! He is a wild man, and he absolutely loved her! She is very responsible, kind, and timely. We would recommend her to anyone needing someone to care after their dog.”

“BriAnn was amazing! My dogs were quick to befriend her, and had some nice belly rubs during our scheduled check-ins! With a nervous rescue, I always know that they are in great hands when she warms up so quickly. :) We will definitely be repeat clients!”

About: I've been around well trained and untrained dogs alike for most of my life. I am capable with strong dogs, aggressive dogs, and dogs who just have tons of energy! I am currently doing gig work in the film industry, so in between gigs I have plenty of time to care for our furry friends. I care for other people's pets same as I care for mine at home. Simple basics are essential, but the magic happens when you build a bond and enrich each other's time together.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of September 2026, there are 608 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Northwest. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Northwest. On Rover:
- 97% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 99% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
