About: I have always had a strong affinity towards animals even as a small child. I helped my mom care for cats and have had at least one dog since I moved out of her house. I had one of my bffs get diabetes for the last few years of her life. I am experienced in giving insulin injections in dogs and understand the senior dog may require more outside visits. Please message me with any other special needs concerns, I may be able to accommodate. My work schedule is pretty flexible and since I love playing with dogs (and animals for that matter)..... I would love to offer nice "getaway" for your pets. Basically, I can offer good distractions until their true love returns, their human 🥰. The availability is a general start point.. please message me with special requests. My schedule is flexible, so with a week or more notice, availability may adjust to client needs. I have a fenced yard and dogs of my own to keep your doggo company. I also have an extra crate and movable fencing if the need arises.

About: I have a masters degree in environmental education and work outdoors for a my main job! You can expect that your pet will love exploring nature with me if you request. I have taken care of all pets - parrots, snakes, salamanders, turtles, and especially dogs and cats. No pet is too big or small - my latest client was a Great Dane and he loved getting baths in my fenced backyard that helped his skin allergies. He used the soccer ball for fetch! My schedule varies day to day. I manage my own work schedule for my main job. I will most likely be available and if not I will quickly find a time that works for us both! I am willing to work with you and your pets needs. Send me a message! I have a large fenced yard with an area available for baths. I love to take dogs to outdoor walking locations in any weather! I grew up with big chocolate labs and I am used to handling big dogs. I also have a cat who will remain away from your pet. I have years of experience administering medication to my cat who has heart disease. I am comfortable taking care of your pets as I would my own.

About: I grew up with dogs. My personality type, the INFP, naturally forms bonds with animals. Most recently, I raised and cared for a beautiful German Shepherd, who lived to be 13 years old. He required intensive geriatric care, which I provided for him gladly, as a believe very strongly in helping animals. I am flexible in accommodating your pet care needs, as I am self-employed in my other occupations of creative writing and antiques. I have a Ph.D. in Slavic Linguistics, which is proof that I am highly responsible. I will pay a drop-in visit to your pets in your home, ensuring that their water dish is full, and also take them outside to go to the bathroom.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
