“Thank you so much for looking after my pet during my weekend getaway. Emzo truly enjoyed his own little vacation at your place. Your attentive care and constant updates were incredibly reassuring. The photos and messages about his activities and well-being made us feel confident that he was in excellent hands.”

“Samantha did an excellent job taking care of our fur babies. She sent us pictures and videos almost daily to reassure us tgat they were doing well. We would definitely recommend her.”

“Absolutely wonderful experience! Bethany kept me updated with messages and pictures, and my two dogs were well cared for while they stayed with her! I’ll definitely try to rebook with her the next time I need someone to watch them.”

“Nola was wonderful! Callie stayed with Nola for 2 weeks while I went to visit my daughters. Nola sent pictures regularly which was very reassuring to me! I could see Callie was happy and getting along well with the other dogs. I could tell when I picked Callie up she had been loved and well cared for by Nola and her husband. I would highly recommend them as pet sitters!”

About: I grew up with dogs all my life. I appreciate what they do for me. I have owned dogs of a variety of sizes Big (Labradors - Sassie and Flounder), Cocker Spaniel (Cleo), Basset Hound (Ginger), Terrier (Kush), and Pomeranian (Foxy). I learned by caring for these dogs that the most important thing is to identify each dog's individual needs by paying attention to how they are feeling and how they interact with me and the other dogs. I personalize my care for each dog. I am experienced with: - puppies as well as elder dogs and all ages in between. - administering medications as needed. - personalized feeding schedules. - personalized walking schedules and outdoors time. - crate trained or not. I am currently a stay at home wife who has plenty of time to take care of dogs up to 40 lbs. My home is pet friendly, with doorway gates to make sure that each dog has a safe place to eat and enjoy their stay at my home. My schedule is flexible and can be changed and updated on an as needed basis, I have a back yard and a safe sidewalk that is easily accessible outside my front door. My back yard has grass and a screened in porch for those days when it is comfortable for dogs to be outside.
“Yamillex was fantastic! She was great with my pup and sent me tons of pictures and videos to keep me updated while I was away. She even took him to the dog park and walked him at least once a day, I will definitely use her again!”

“Bailey & Tip get real excited when they hear they are going to "Aunt" Linda's for a staycation. We're always concerned they won't want to come home. They always have a ball with Linda and Ron.”

“We are so glad we found Marina! We decided to try Rover last minute to board our dogs before a trip and her profile immediately stuck out. She was professional, gave our dogs great care and kept us updated throughout. We were able to really enjoy our time away without having to worry about how our dogs were doing. We would use her again and again to watch them! She also gracefully dealt with our very active puppy who presents her own set of challenges! She was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. We really can’t say enough good things! Thanks again Marina!”

“This was like a home away from home experience for our girl, Meadow. She got all the creature comforts of home and lots of activity to keep her busy! We're happy to know that if we can't bring our girl along that when she stays with Dzeni and Kathy she'll receive wonderful care and love.”

About: I’ve cared for a wide variety of pets throughout my life, including dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, and birds. Caring for animals has always come naturally to me, and over the years, I’ve discovered that dogs hold a particularly special place in my heart. I’ve cared for dogs of many sizes and personalities, including my own dogs and those belonging to family members and friends. I understand that every dog is unique, so I take the time to learn their routines, personalities, and individual needs. I’ve also trained my dogs to follow commands and perform tricks, which has strengthened my patience, consistency, and communication skills. In addition, I groom my own dog and am comfortable assisting with regular brushing, bathing, and other basic grooming needs. Whether it’s a playful puppy with energy to burn, a senior dog who prefers a gentler pace, or a shy dog who needs extra patience and reassurance, I believe every dog deserves to feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I’m attentive, patient, and genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs. My goal isn’t simply to watch your pet—it’s to help them feel at home, provide plenty of affection, and offer the same loving care I’d want for my own dog. When you’re away, you can feel confident knowing your furry family member is in caring, experienced hands. My schedule is flexible, and I spend much of my time at home, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention, companionship, and care throughout the day. As I build my home-based business, I have the opportunity to structure my schedule around the needs of the pets in my care. I enjoy having animals around and love incorporating walks, playtime, outdoor breaks, and plenty of cuddles into my day. I can also work with each pet's individual routine, including feeding schedules, medication instructions when applicable, and their preferred balance of activity and relaxation. My goal is to make sure your dog isn't simply staying somewhere while you're away, but is receiving consistent attention and feeling like part of the family. My home is dog-friendly, with a fully fenced yard for safe outdoor play and room to relax indoors. I have a mellow dog of my own, and I understand that not every dog will immediately feel comfortable around a new dog or in a new environment. I take a gradual, individualized approach to helping each guest settle in. Your dog will have time to get comfortable with my husband and me, explore the house, and decompress before any introductions to my dog. I'll follow their cues and comfort level, allowing them to adjust at their own pace without feeling overwhelmed. If the dogs don't get along or simply need their own space, my home can be sectioned off so they can remain safely separated while still receiving plenty of individual attention, affection, and playtime. Dogs can enjoy supervised outdoor fun in the fenced yard or relax and play indoors. I also have two large dog beds available, or you're welcome to bring your dog's own bed and familiar items to help them feel at home. My priority is to create a safe, calm, and loving environment where every dog feels comfortable, gets the attention they deserve, and is cared for as an individual.
“1Absolutely fantastic! There's no other way to describe my experience as a first-time Rover app user with a 14 week old puppy that's never stayed a night away from home before.. Lenetta is the best. From the second she laid eyes on my puppy her level of animation and care and genuine affection for my dog was apparent. She sent multiple pictures and videos throughout the day to show me how his day was going. She even took him to PetSmart and bought him a special chew toy for teething puppies. Lenetta has my highest recommendation she is amazing.”

“I cannot recommend Nicole enough! Leaving my dog is always a bit stressful, but Nicole completely put my mind at ease. I received regular updates and photos, and it was clear that my dog was happy, safe, and loved. They are professional, reliable, and truly gifted with animals. We will definitely be booking again!”

“Coleen and her family were very attentive, caring and communicated extremely well with us about our two miniature schnauzers. We look forward to future bookings with them and definitely highly recommend them.”

“Joanna did an awesome job making us feel comfortable with leaving our pup with her. He is an older dog that still acts like he is in his prime, but from the first meet and greet I could tell that this was not her first time handling big dogs. We have used Rover a few times but this is by far the most comfortable we have felt. We will definitely book Joanna in the future!”

“LJ is amazing ! Marley & Peanut seemed to be the best of friends during her stay. She even got Marley on an eating schedule! I would highly recommend this family to watch your fur babies. She had excellent communication with me while Marley was in her care. She is very patient & flexible with last minute changes. I am so appreciative that I found her in Rover. Thanks Again for everything!”

“Teddy Freddy was very happy with Nick for the week, even though we had just met! Nick kept me updated with pictures, so I could see the fun Teddy Freddy was having while I was away!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - North Brooksville
I highly recommend Danielle. She asked the right questions about caring for my large breed with special needs and listened patiently to my concerns. She followed my instructions and handled the doggie issues I forget to tell her about with grace. Her whole family told me how much they loved my dog and Danielle sent pictures to reassure me while I was out of the country. Danielle was highly flexible with regards to my shifting travel schedule due to airport/airline issues and picked up/dropped off my dog as soon as I got home. Danielle made me and my dog feel comfortable throughout the whole process. I can not recommend her enough.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their North Brooksville home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your North Brooksville.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your North Brooksville sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
