“Amanda and her husband were absolutely wonderful with our 11 month old puppy, Theo! He loved playing with their 2 pups and running in their fenced in backyard. Amanda was so accommodating and sent us updates with pictures of Theo each day of our trip. It was very comforting knowing that he was with someone who cared so much! We would happily book with Amanda and her husband again.”
“Kaitlyn is as very communicative. I was worried with my dog being a young puppy of his behavior. She assured me it would be no problem. She sent several pictures while we were gone. She was very flexible with me as well. Will book with her again.”

“They were excellent in sending pictures and keeping our small dog active! We even forgot to leave a leash, but they had plenty in stock and still took Yote out for a walk. They were honest and clear about any issues and continued to provide a welcoming environment. They even included him with their own dog's bday celebration and gave Yote treats galore, along with a take home treat baked especially for Yote. Yote had such a wonderful time and were excited to book with Daniel and Rachel again!”

“Brittni went beyond my expectations when caring for my precious Simon! She is a very loving, dependable caregiver and provided regular daily feedback on his stay. I highly recommend her and hope to be able to book with her again in the future.”

“It’s so comforting to know that your fur baby is in good hands when you go out of town. Wendy is wonderful! She ensured Lu’s stay was seamless. Outside of the love and care she provided, Lu got walks everyday (sometimes multiple)! Thank you Wendy!”

“My dog is usually shy, easily scared, and slow to warm up to new people, so I was shocked at how quickly he bonded with Deanna during the meet and greet. We’ve used drop-in sitters before, but this was our first time trying boarding, and I immediately felt confident leaving him with her. Deanna introduced him to the other dogs in such a calm, skilled, and safe way, and her dogs were so gentle that my pup seemed to adjust much more easily than I expected. When I picked him up, he looked completely relaxed, as if we hadn’t been apart at all! Which made me so happy and relieved. I would absolutely book with Deanna again. Highly recommend!”

“Maya took the very best care of our pups. She helped us out last minute and treated our dogs like they were her own. They had a great time and we got lots of updates and pictures throughout their stay. Highly recommend.”

“Beth is wonderful! She was patient with my pup and instead of refusing her services to me she was willing to give him a try. Turned out to be a success! Thank you so much for putting my mind at ease and allowing my puppy a chance to develop his confidence.”

About: I’ve been caring for and watching cat’s and dogs for just about my whole life! I used to run a small company called Pet Sitters in my neighborhood growing up! I have a verity of experiences from dogs of all sizes, energy and needs! I have also cared for dogs who need extra help getting around and extra care around the house! I work full-time; however, I work remotely giving me the flexibility to care for your pet! I typically work 7:30-4PM and am usually available on most weekends. I have an open area for pets to enjoy; however, I know that not all dogs are trained for this so I am happy to walk them in the neighborhood! Pets inside will enjoy an open home that they are free to enjoy as they would like. If at a client’s home, depending on the dog’s normal routine and client’s requests I will ensure your pet has a safe, enjoyable time while you are away. This will include: play time, walks, pets and whatever else the pet enjoys!
“Maria was amazing! She came through for us at the very last minute and literally saved our vacation. She treated our sweet senior dog like family and that’s all I could ask for ! So grateful for her !”

“Highly recommend 10/10. Chelsea made the experience of leaving our Cats with a sitter seamless and amazing. She went over and beyond to ensure that the animals were comfortable while making sure that we were also comfortable. If you are looking for a sitter, I suggest Chelsea!”

“I don’t think I can thank Jonathan and Tessa enough! I honestly didn’t think Bertha would want to come home when I saw how happy she looked in the yard! I was worried because I have never left her overnight outside of my house, but the minute I dropped her off I knew she was in good hands! If you have a chance to book Tessa and Jonathan you should do it immediately!! Thanks for taking such good care of my girl!!”

“Ronda was wonderful with our dog, Louise. We had never left her with anyone before this 3 day getaway. Ronda knew that we had concerns and she regularly sent us pictures and updates, which eased our minds, as we could see that our dog was getting plenty of love and attention, and had settled in for her stay. Louise appreciates attention and the feel of a warm home environment, which is just what Ronda gave her. We have already recommended Ronda to a relative who is looking for an in home boarding situation. Ronda is the best!”

About: Hi! I’m a responsible and dependable person who enjoys being around animals. I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, and I’m happy to follow whatever works best for you and your pet. Whether your dog needs a good walk, your cat needs some company, or your pets simply need someone to check in while you’re away, I’m here to help. I’ll make sure they’re fed, cared for, exercised, and comfortable while keeping their normal routine as much as possible. I’m respectful of your home, attentive to details, and will keep you updated while you’re away. My goal is simple: make sure your pets are well cared for and that you can enjoy your time away without worrying about them. 🐶 Walks & exercise 🐱 Drop-in visits 🏡 House sitting ❤️ Lots of love and attention 📸 Photo updates so you know your pet is happy I want your pet to feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away, while keeping their normal routine as much as possible. Our days typically include: 🌅 Morning Your pet will start the day with a potty break, fresh water, breakfast, and some playtime or a walk. They’ll have plenty of attention before settling into a relaxed part of the day. ☀️ Midday I work two days a week, but your pet will never be left without a plan. My husband works less than a mile from our home, so he can easily stop by during the workday to let your pet outside, play with them, and give them some extra attention. 🐕 Afternoon On days I’m home, we’ll have additional potty breaks, walks, playtime, and plenty of companionship. I’m happy to adjust the routine based on your pet’s age, energy level, and normal schedule. 🌙 Evening Evenings include dinner, outdoor time, playtime or a walk, and relaxing family time. We’ll finish the night with a final potty break before bedtime. I’m happy to follow your pet’s usual feeding, walking, potty, medication, and sleeping routines so their stay feels as familiar as possible. My goal is simple: while you’re away, your pet should feel safe, loved, comfortable, and cared for—not like they’re just being boarded I have a huge backyard to run and play in if your pet is able. We also have neighborhoods around us to go for long or short walks for exercise. I have no problem with your pet being on the furniture if that is what they are used to. There are currently no other animals in the house, so your pet will get undivided attention. There is an electric fence on our property, but will only be used if the pets’ parent prefers to use it.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their North Bloomfield home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your North Bloomfield.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your North Bloomfield sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
