“Jasmine was amazing with my Precious. She kept me informed, arrived as expected, and spent so much time caring for my cat. She went beyond expectations on every visit. 100% the best sitter.”

“We booked Erika for drop in visits while we were out of town for 10 days and could not have been more pleased. She stayed in touch by sending messages and pictures and I was able to enjoy our trip more knowing she was there taking care of things. She went above and beyond by getting our very shy dog Sherpa to become her friend. I highly recommend her to anyone wanting peace of mind while they are away.”

About: My mom has been a trusted Rover sitter for several years now, so I grew up around this — it’s kind of in the blood. I’ve personally owned and cared for dogs, cats, birds, turtles, you name it, so I’m comfortable with just about any animal you bring my way. I have a large fenced backyard, a clean and pet-friendly home, and a very playful environment. Every stay includes treats, toys, and whatever adventures we can get into. Your pet will be in good hands — I take it seriously and genuinely enjoy it. I have one of my own that’s stays in a consistent schedule and never forgotten or goes without attention (constant potty breaks included) , have all the free time in the word and have years on years of experience with all pets massive and small obedient or not, your pet will be looked after enjoy the time an my little fur baby loves to keep them company wherever they decide to adventure I have a big gated backyard plenty but enough for multiple dogs to do their own thing including own free range to sleep jump and lay on furniture including beds and free range to the entire house and back yard,Very used to medicating if needed, crating, training, all an etc whatever special treatment they may need I’ve delt with it all and nothing to difficult to stay or keep up on if needed
About: Throughout my life, I've been deeply immersed in caring for animals, particularly dogs and more recently, cats. Growing up, dogs have been a constant presence in my household, from nurturing puppies to tenderly supporting elderly dogs in their final stages. This journey included responsibilities like changing diapers and ensuring their comfort, reflecting my commitment to their well-being throughout their lives. Seven years ago, I expanded my animal family by welcoming my first cat into our home, a decision that has enriched my life beyond measure. Currently, I share my home with two cats and a lively two-year-old dog, each bringing their unique joy and companionship. When it comes to caring for animals, my approach varies based on their needs. For elderly dogs and all cats, I prioritize providing them comfort and support in their own familiar environment, ensuring their days arr still filled with love and care. On the other hand, for dogs that still revel in the company of their peers and enjoy playtime, I eagerly open my doors to host them, providing a safe and welcoming environment. Overall, my experience with animals has taught me the importance of patience, compassion, and adaptability in meeting their diverse needs. It's a privilege to share my life with these wonderful creatures and to provide them with the care and love they deserve. I work from home most days, and so does my partner. I can ensure there is continued care and commitment offered to your furry companion. In your own home, I can work to ensure the same routine your furry companion is used to is maintained. In my home, they will have the opportunity to play with my in house dog, visit the dog park every afternoon, with a long evening walk, and short walks throughout the workday.

I have a flexible schedule I can work around for pets staying here, sleeping on the floor or outside. I will be gone during the day some days of the week, if they are ok left alone. I work at a greenhouse 3 days a week and could take puppies under a year with me to work. And also most dogs if theyre used to be out and about. I would accept puppies under a year not fixed. I have 2 ziplines in my yard and your pets are more than welcome to stay here if they would be OK with those accommodations. I can pick up and drop off typically would suit best in the evenings. I would also stay in your home so they could stay in familiar territory, but i have a greenhouse job and will be gone a good part of the day. And also work prn at an assisted living but il try to wait till 2 weeks till to pick up shifts. Cuz thats my requirement for bookings. I also have a 1 year old Aussie Mountain Doodle that will be coming with me. He loves meeting new friends. If youre worried about him getting along we can do a meet and greet. I look forward to meeting you and your pets. My profile shows Kingston, it's because I work in Kearney and am around there a lot. So dropping by between Jamesport and Kearney will be easy. I had to move my town to get the area I wanted. I have a flexible schedule and can work around it to help care for your pets, for drop in visits, walks, feeding, playtime or stays. I will care for your pets and home as if it were my own. I have stayed in multiple air bnbs and have a high rating as a traveler.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
