About: I've had animals all my life. I worked in a vets office for 5 years and ran my own petsitting business. I am able to care for animals with medical needs. I managed a home for the developmentally delayed for 4 years and have the patience to serve all your needs. Currently I have not been working and can do pet care 100% to others schedules to create my own. I am ready to fill the needs of whoever requires it. I have handled alarms system codes, door codes, garage codes, keys to many houses trusted by the owners. I am thorough in learning about your animals and your preferences for their care. I only want the best for them so you can feel secure while you are away.
About: I was raised with an active Gordon setter. He solidified my love for animals. My responsibilities were to feed, water, and play with him daily (Playing was our daily bonding activity). Over the years I've been hired by multiple families to watch cats and dogs of all sizes, personalities, and temperaments. Hired experience: Responsibilities include feeding at designated times and amounts, ensuring there is always water, caring for bathroom needs (scooping for cats and walks for dogs), playtime and belly rub time. I have always connected well with animals and always try to understand what they need/want. I have a flexible schedule but am available around mid day to afternoon. I am open to discuss the timing needs for your fur babies. My pets have a daily routine of being fed at specific times and in specific amounts. The two cats are pretty inactive during the day, opting to sleep through it. However, after dinner my wife and I walk the cats (one on leash, other in stroller) for about 30 minutes. They receive a dental treat afterwards and make sure they get lots of love.
About: Hello pet parents! I have always had pets around me or in my home. I am the go to sitter for friends and family. I have cared for small, large, elderly, shy and super energetic animals. I have also had a spotted leopard gecko. He lived to be about 10 or so, the previous owner didn’t know his age but I figured has was about that old or older. My cousins always had lizards. Now some of them do rescues for lizards. So if you have an exotic pet, they will receive the same quality care as your furry ones. Medications I can do no problem. You just leave me the meds, instructions, and your vets number in case I need to call them. Your pet has weird quirks, like they need to think their meal is chief quality? I can pretend to whip up their kibble like it’s a 5 star dish. They need to be wrapped like a burrito before they can sleep? Or need me to sing a random song before they can poop? I got it, it’s their world and I’m lucky to be in it. Whatever you or your pet needs I’m up to the task. I can’t wait to meet you and your animal friends! I do have 4 cats of my own so morning and evening I feed, clean litter boxes, and entertain them. I would love for animal care to be my full time job. Right now I will be available evenings and weekends until I can make this more permanent. Your animal/furry babies comfort and safety is my top priority. I will not take any pet outside unless they are leashed, contained, or within my site in a fenced in backyard. Before I leave I will make sure that I have laid my eyes on them and all exits are closed/locked. I will not be offering boarding at my place at this time, in the future I would love to. 3 out of the four cats are dog friendly. The one that isn’t has a room they can go in (which they prefer), I have a large fenced in backyard that they will be 100% supervised. No one is escaping on my watch!

About: I will ensure your pet is safe at all times. I have 3 dogs myself and they are all different sizes. I play with them, walk them, they get fresh food and water twice daily. I make sure in this heat that they stay cool. They are never locked outside or tied up. My smallest little girl always sleeps with me. I've never hurt an animal. I've passefmy love for pets onto my kids. One daughter is studying to be a vet. I'll treat yours as my own. I do anything asked of me. If they need meds or baths I can do that as well. Nail trimming I can do if they aren't scared of the clippers. My baby girl is but I still do it.
“I’m a first timer using this app. Madilyn cane highly recommend. I can see why!! She was great with my 7yo cocker spaniel. She was also very respectful using my home for 2 drop ins. I will definitely be requesting her again if she’s available!”

“Ashley is AMAZING and highly recommend her!! This is our first time using Rover and we were really nervous. We have three senior dogs and two of them are pretty skittish around strangers. She reassured us with messages and pictures that showed her bonding and making our pups feel loved and safe while we were away. Our two dogs that are scared around strangers loved her and even snuggled with her. She had great communication with us regarding if they ate, drank water, played, bathroom breaks, and if there were any accidents. Will be booking with her again!”

About: Hello! I have been a dog sitter for a few of my teachers. I have my own cats. I am also going to school for wildlife biology. I go to school and work, but I have plenty of time in between! I am able to do intermittent visits for feeding and walks, overnight care, and morning visits! I follow directions to a tea and have never had a complaint! I love animals so much and treat other peoples animals as I would treat my own.
“Kelsey is amazing! She is so attentive and I honestly believe she loves my animal as if it were her own. She leaves the best River cards of the visits. I absolutely recommend her!”

About: My name is Neha, I’m a recent pharmacy graduate who is looking to find some amazing, cute pets to sit! I don’t have any pets, so I am eager to take every opportunity that I can to look after some cute fur babies! I am very kind, responsible, understanding, and will work with you! Although I do not have any pets, my desire is to have my own pet in a few years after I am more settled down! Taking care of your pets would give me the opportunity to experience what having a pet is like and all the responsibilities that come along with it. I love dogs of any shape or size. 🐾 I am currently not working and am just using my time to study for my upcoming pharmacy board exams from home. Pet sitting would give me some excitement to look forward to in my usual day to day routine. I make sure to follow the schedule as laid out by the pets owners. About: About Me: Growing up on a farm, I’ve nurtured a lifelong passion for animal care, tending to dogs, cattle, horses, and goats. Instilled with a deep sense of responsibility from a young age, I learned that our animals’ needs come first—feeding and watering them was my dawn ritual. Professional Background: My 18-year tenure as a Paramedic wasn’t just about helping people; it often involved interacting with pets, from the friendly to the feisty. This has equipped me with the skills to handle any situation calmly and ensure a positive outcome. Additionally, my training in K9 first aid as a tactical medic has honed my ability to care for police service dogs in critical situations. My Approach: I bring a calm and collected presence that resonates well with animals, making it easy to bond with new furry friends. I understand the anxiety of leaving pets behind, so I’m here to alleviate your stress. With professionalism and respect, I’ll ensure your pets feel loved and secure in your absence. Personal Touch: At home, I’m a proud pet parent to Archie and Luna, two spirited dogs who love their playtime and are experts at keeping our backyard squirrel-free. They’ve taught me the joy of active companionship and the comfort of quiet snuggles. Thank you for considering me to care for your beloved pets. I’m excited about the opportunity to meet your furry family members and provide them with the same love and attention I give my own. Flexibility for Your Furry Family : My schedule is incredibly flexible, and my primary goal is to ensure quality time for your beloved pets! 🐾❤️ Additionally, I am committed to keeping my availability up-to-date to prevent any scheduling errors. You can rely on me to be punctual and attentive to your pet’s needs. 🕒🐶 Tailored Care for Your Furry Family : As a dedicated pet caregiver, I understand that every furry friend has unique needs. Whether your dog prefers leisurely lounge time or craves energetic walks and ball games, I tailor my care to match their individual requirements. But it doesn’t stop there—I’m also vigilant about weather conditions. I know when it’s too hot or cold for your dog’s comfort, and I adjust activities accordingly to ensure their safety. And speaking of safety, my biggest pet peeve is water. Clean, fresh hydration is essential for your beloved companions, and I make sure they have access to it at all times. Of course, let’s not overlook the importance of a well-balanced meal! 🐾🌟

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
