Before moving to the Netherlands, I spent four wonderful years with my beloved silver-shaded British Shorthair cat, Yuwan. I was there from the moment they were born and watched them grow up, taking care of all the little details of daily life. Through this experience, I truly learned how comforting and meaningful mutual companionship with a cat can be. Living in the Netherlands has also given me a different perspective—being separated from a deeply loved cat. I am currently a freelancer, which gives me a very flexible schedule. I am generally available on weekdays, and on weekends my availability tends to be more open in the mornings. I am also happy to block out time slots in advance or adjust my schedule based on your specific needs. Back in my hometown, I have a cat whom I have raised for five years. Since we live on a high floor, I am mindful of securing doors and windows to keep him safe. I also pay close attention to adjusting the indoor temperature according to the seasons, to maintain the consistently comfortable environment he has grown up in. Beyond that, I am good at reading a cat's personality — whether they are affectionate and clingy or energetic and playful, I am always happy to spend time with them in the way they enjoy most. Finally, I am also experienced in hands-on cat care, including trimming nails, cleaning ears, brushing coats, and applying medication when needed, helping them stay healthy and comfortable.

Over: Hi! My name is Palm. I am from Thailand and I graduated with a degree in Veterinary Medicine. I am currently studying for my master’s degree in Utrecht. I do not have formal work experience as a dog or cat sitter yet, because this kind of job is not very common in my home country. However, during my veterinary studies, I gained hands-on experience taking care of animals, including walking dogs at the animal hospital, helping with basic care, and observing their behavior and wellbeing. I am definitely a dog person, but I also love cats. Being around dogs and cats always makes me happy, and I feel that animals can heal the heart in such a special way. I am calm, responsible, gentle, and happy to follow each owner’s instructions carefully. I’m currently a master’s student, so my schedule can be quite flexible. On the days I don’t have classes, I’m happy to take care of your pets, whether it’s feeding, walking, playing, or simply keeping them company. Spending time with animals also gives me a lot of positive energy. For now, I mainly offer pet care at the owner’s home or dog walking. Over: Vanaf dat ik een baby was hebben we altijd katten en poezen in huis gehad. Soms meerdere katten en heel vaak ook uit het asiel, vaak met een gebruiksaanwijzing. Een aantal jaren ook mogen genieten van een prachtige New Foundlander die als herplaatste hond hele fijne jaren bij heeft gehad. Wegens de ervaring met dit hele grote hondenras vind ik elke (formaat) hond leuk. Inmiddels ben ik verhuisd en ik mis het gezelschap van dieren enorm. Ik deel een huis met een vriendin en zijn allebei masterstudenten. Ik ben laatstejaars masterstudent en werk daarnaast parttime in een koffietentje. Ik kan dagelijks lang de dieren of even met de hond gaan wandelen of een knuffel geven. Ook kan ik op locatie (bij iemand thuis) werken met mijn laptop Heel graag dieren om mij heen, gewend om met dieren om te gaan. Bovendien heb ik veel geduld met dieren en kan ik ze goed lezen.

Over: I have house sat for multiple pets: cats, dogs of multiple species. I myself have two pitbulls so I am experienced with caring for larger dogs. As a university student, I have windows in time in which I am free to either pop by and check in on a pet, or take your dog for a quick walk. Generally, this time is in the afternoon or evening on week-days, but weekends (and Friday) are more free. I can use the resources available in order to best take care of a pet. I am excellent at following instructions, and understand the importance of details in taking care of an animal!

Over: I’ve taken care of dogs pretty much my whole life, as my family has always owned dogs. As an adult, I’ve taken care of two puppies and a senior dog. On this app, I have Dogsitter many dogs, both for short and long periods of time. I love playing with dogs, helping with basic training, and can walk, feed and brush dogs. I’m away from my dog for a few months and miss her so much, so I’d love to get some time with some doggies. I work remotely and am quite flexible during the week, and I’m able to dedicate tons of time to walking, playing and taking care of pets during the weekend and after 5pm on workdays. As a pet owner I’ve always taken feeding very seriously, so I would make sure to feed your dog only what you feel comfortable with. I would make sure to watch the dogs if they’re playing with toys and make sure they’re not getting into trouble.

Over: Since I was little I've cared for dogs, both big and small, and their puppy litters and I've also fostered stray puppies we've found and given them a safe home. Currently I have 2 lovely dogs (one Rhodesian ridgeback and 1 local breed) and 3 cats at home back in Tanzania with my parents. I'm a student taking a gap year before i enter university while also redoing some of my examinations, so I have ALOT of extra time on my schedule everyday. While I'm not studying Rover is an opportunity for me to mix my love for animals while keeping myself busy and exploring new areas of Utrecht that I have yet to see ( AND taking cute pets on walks because who wouldn't want that??!) i dont have any pets living with me at the moment since im in a new country but usually at home my pets are very free around the house as they're behaved fairly well and i take my dogs on regular walks and hang out with both my cats and dogs like i would with my own best friend.

Over: I began working with animals in 2016 through Paws and Claws, an independent daycare and dog walking service in the UK. My responsibilities included walking, feeding, and caring for dogs throughout the morning and afternoon. I was also responsible for pick-up and drop-off, which involved being trusted with access to clients’ homes. Alongside this, I carried out house calls to help socialise dogs or check in on those who didn’t require a full day of on-site daycare. At the daycare facility, I comfortably handled groups of up to ten dogs of varying breeds, sizes, and temperaments on walks in the local woodlands. As demand grew, I expanded my services to include house and pet sitting across several nearby villages and towns. Over the years, I have cared for a wide range of animals, including dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, and guinea pigs, and I am also happy to tend to gardens or house plants when needed. After moving to Utrecht for my studies, I began offering my own dog walking and pet sitting services to pet owners that I met in the city or at surrounding walking spots. During my time in Utrecht, I also worked for a local hondenuitlaat service, which gave me experience with a lot of common (and some less common) Dutch breeds. A few years later, I am now living in Amsterdam, working full-time with dogs at a fantastic farm facility outside of the city, and finishing up my Master's degree. I work a few days a week at a dog daycare organisation on a rural farmland property outside of Amsterdam. On my working days, if I am looking after a dog, I like to bring them with me so that they can socialise with the pack. All transport is done using a fully converted, dog-friendly wagon with additional AC (and lots of cookies!). If a dog needs to be left alone or doesn't get along with other dogs, this can also be easily accommodated during the day in a safe, penned-off area at the facility. On my days off, I am entirely flexible and work from home while finishing my Master's thesis, making my routine highly compatible with dedicated pet care. I live with my girlfriend in a large, multi-room apartment in the Rivierenbuurt neighbourhood of Amsterdam. The location is convenient for dogs and humans alike, being just a short walk from several metro stations and with easy drop-off outside via street access. We are lucky to be located just a stone's throw away from Beatrixpark and Martin Luther Kingpark, with the Amstel and the Amsterdamse Bos close by, providing some wonderful green spaces right on our doorstep for daily walks. Our apartment has two balconies (one of which gets the sun all day long ☀️☀️☀️) and plenty of comfy space inside for dogs to relax. All my dog guests get an entire room to themselves to ensure they have their own quiet and safe space to rest—unless, of course, they prefer to cuddle up with us on the sofa or in bed... Because of my professional background managing packs, safety, comfort, and routine are always my top priorities, whether looking after a pet in my home or yours.

Over: I am a veterinary nurse from Ireland with a huge love for dogs and cats. I have a broad range of experience from working in general practice, emergency and critical care, high volume shelters and even a luxury dog boarding hotel! I'm confident caring for dogs of any size and any lifestage, from energetic puppies to golden oldies (my favourites!). I love going on long walks, shorter "sniff" walks, hanging out socialising and playing making sure your pet is getting plenty of mental and physical enrichment. I am also happy to administer medication, do some basic grooming and I can also trim your dogs nails. 🐕 For dog walking or a home visit, I will spend approx 1 hour there. - For young puppies or older dogs who need shorter walks, I can happily split the hour between a shorter walk and some time playing/hanging out socializing with them. - If you need longer pet sitting eg for a few hours at a time, we can discuss this and agree on a suitable fee My weekly work schedule varies: on work days I usually have some time every day for a walk or house visit but it just depends on whether that fits with your desired time. On off days I am naturally much more flexible. As it's not possible for me to update my calender with specific times feel free to just message me and we can chat to see what can work 😊 Right now I am living in Utrecht city centre and travelling by bicycle so I am slightly limited by this, but if you don't live too far it can work! I can care for your pet in your home and will follow all guidelines you give to ensure your pet has the best care and you can be worry free. I will of course send regular updates and photos when I care for your pet also.
