I do not have formal work experience as a dog or cat sitter yet, because this kind of job is not very common in my home country. Over: I began working with animals in 2016 through Paws and Claws, an independent daycare and dog walking service in the UK. My responsibilities included walking, feeding, and caring for dogs throughout the morning and afternoon. I was also responsible for pick-up and drop-off, which involved being trusted with access to clients’ homes. Alongside this, I carried out house calls to help socialise dogs or check in on those who didn’t require a full day of on-site daycare. At the daycare facility, I comfortably handled groups of up to ten dogs of varying breeds, sizes, and temperaments on walks in the local woodlands. As demand grew, I expanded my services to include house and pet sitting across several nearby villages and towns. Over the years, I have cared for a wide range of animals, including dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, and guinea pigs, and I am also happy to tend to gardens or house plants when needed. After moving to Utrecht for my studies, I began offering my own dog walking and pet sitting services to pet owners I met in the city and at nearby nature spots. A few years later and I am completing my Master's degree at Utrecht University, whilst working as a pack leader at a large doggy day care in Amsterdam. So even on working days I can easily bring a dog that I am looking after with me for the afternoon walk, which is a great chance for some group socialisation. I have my own apartment. Only two minutes walk from my studio is lots of nature and forests, as well as a large area specifically for dogs to walk both on and off the lead. Also have access to large farmlands.

Over: I am a veterinary nurse from Ireland with a huge love for dogs and cats. I have a broad range of experience from working in general practice, emergency and critical care, high volume shelters and even a luxury dog boarding hotel! I'm confident caring for dogs of any size and any lifestage, from energetic puppies to golden oldies (my favourites!). I love going on long walks, shorter "sniff" walks, hanging out socialising and playing making sure your pet is getting plenty of mental and physical enrichment. I am also happy to administer medication, do some basic grooming and I can also trim your dogs nails. 🐕 For dog walking or a home visit, I will spend approx 1 hour there. - For young puppies or older dogs who need shorter walks, I can happily split the hour between a shorter walk and some time playing/hanging out socializing with them. - If you need longer pet sitting eg for a few hours at a time, we can discuss this and agree on a suitable fee My weekly work schedule varies: on work days I usually have some time every day for a walk or house visit but it just depends on whether that fits with your desired time. On off days I am naturally much more flexible. As it's not possible for me to update my calender with specific times feel free to just message me and we can chat to see what can work 😊 Right now I am living in Utrecht city centre and travelling by bicycle so I am slightly limited by this, but if you don't live too far it can work! I can care for your pet in your home and will follow all guidelines you give to ensure your pet has the best care and you can be worry free. I will of course send regular updates and photos when I care for your pet also.

Over: I have taken care of dogs since always but my understanding started when I adopted my dog. He was a reactive dog (due to his street / trauma situation) and I learnt how to take care of that. Besides him, we (my family and I) adopted another 2 little fluffly girls. And we always had our +10 yo dog. Seniors dogs need a lot of love and care. Currently an Au Pair in Amsterdam and living long term. I am from Argentina so my pets are far away from me. This will not only be beneficial for the pet but me too. I miss the warmth of a beautiful fluffly pet. Going for a walk, playing throwing balls and the amount of saliva they can leave you. Depends on the owner’s house and the dogs needs.
