Hey, I’m Ellen! 🌱 I’m originally from China, and I’ve just completed my Master’s degree in Gender Studies in Utrecht. Before moving to the Netherlands, I spent four wonderful years with my beloved silver-shaded British Shorthair cat, Yuwan. I was there from the moment they were born and watched them grow up, taking care of all the little details of daily life. Through this experience, I truly learned how comforting and meaningful mutual companionship with a cat can be. Living in the Netherlands has also given me a different perspective—being separated from a deeply loved cat. I understand that sweet but constant concern: wondering whether they’ve eaten well, whether their living space is clean and safe, and whether they feel happy and energetic. Because of this, I really relate to fellow cat parents, and I would love to help take good care of your cat so you can be away from home with peace of mind.

Back in my hometown, I have a cat whom I have raised for five years. Since we live on a high floor, I am mindful of securing doors and windows to keep him safe. I also pay close attention to adjusting the indoor temperature according to the seasons, to maintain the consistently comfortable environment he has grown up in. Beyond that, I am good at reading a cat's personality — whether they are affectionate and clingy or energetic and playful, I am always happy to spend time with them in the way they enjoy most. Finally, I am also experienced in hands-on cat care, including trimming nails, cleaning ears, brushing coats, and applying medication when needed, helping them stay healthy and comfortable.

I’m extremely happy I found Ellen to take care of my cat while I was away. She’s very kind, respectful and thoughtful, and has great attention to detail. When we met before I left she asked about several things I may otherwise have forgotten, so that gave me confidence in her commitment. While I was away she completely lived up to that impression—and then some! She sent me lots of beautiful pictures of my cat, and he seemed to enjoy her company tremendously. I couldn’t help but suspect he likes her more than me. 😂 I just have nothing negative or even neutral to say about my experience. Simply a great experience! I just hope she’s available whenever I need a sitter in the future.
She took care of my two cats very well and did not neglect any instructions I asked for. Everything was on point and I felt quite comfortable away from my cats.
Ellen has a gentle personality and her daily reports are very comforting. She convinced me my little ones are in safe hands, properly taken care of and really seen. The three of us sure hope we will soon have another reason to call on Ellen's services again. Highly recommended! :)
Jiayu was quick to reply to our booking and had great communication! She also took great care of our two kitties and sent daily updates, which helped us be relaxed during our vacation knowing they were in good hands. Would definitely recommend her and book her again!
I recently had the pleasure of having my cat looked after, and I could not be more satisfied with the experience. Throughout the stay, I received regular video updates of my cat playing and being engaged — it was so reassuring to see her happy and in good hands while I was away. What really stood out was the level of attention to detail. The litter box was kept clean, food and water were topped up and fresh, and I even came home to find the floor had been swept of all the floating cat hair. It is the kind of thoughtful, thorough care that goes well beyond what I expected, and it made such a difference knowing my cat was not just fed, but genuinely looked after. I would not hesitate to book again — highly recommend to any pet owner looking for someone who truly cares.

Schedule
I am currently a freelancer, which gives me a very flexible schedule. I am generally available on weekdays, and on weekends my availability tends to be more open in the mornings. I am also happy to block out time slots in advance or adjust my schedule based on your specific needs.
