I identify as a cat lady!
Dutch/English I have joined Rover/Cat in a flat because I miss having a cat. I can't have a pet at my place, because my roommates are allergic. I've been at multiple house holds with different cats. Family, friends and family of friends had me as guardian of their cats. I like to make you feel like your pet is in good hands. I do this mainly because I enjoy it and not because I make a living out of it.

Safety, trust & environment
I always want cats to feel safe and comfortable with me, especially if they’re a bit shy or nervous at first. I take the time to build trust at their own pace. And if they’re the cuddly type, they’ve definitely found their soulmate in me! I also love spending quality time with cats — whether that means playing with their favorite toys and keeping them active, or just relaxing together on the couch. Of course, I know cats can be very persuasive when it comes to food, but I always stick to the owner’s rules and feeding schedule.

Menke is een super lieve oppas die goed communiceert en erg begaan is met je huisdier. Ze stuurde iedere dag een update, text en foto’s. Dirk was in goede handen en het huis ook. We willen Menke zeker vaker boeken want volgens mij heeft Dirk het ook super gezellig gehad 🫶🏻
Menke was an amazing sitter! I will definitely reach out to her again. She kept me updated, sent lots of photos, checked in alot and got along wonderfully with my cat! She kept the house in a great condition as well :)

Menke heeft supergoed op onze katten gepast! De foto's die ze stuurde waren het bewijs dat zodra zijn er was, onze poekers in ieder geval even hun energie kwijt konden én even volle aandacht kregen. Fijn dat we zo zorgeloos een paar dagen weg konden!
Eigenlijk wil ik Menke niet delen met anderen die oppas nodig hebben, want we zijn zó blij met haar. Dixie krijgt veel knuffels en aandacht en ze past dan ook op ons huis, zodat Dixie de hele vakantie aandacht en verzorging heeft. Menke heeft al een paar keer opgepast. Het is echt een lieverd, waar elke poes blij mee zal zijn. Ze appt regelmatig foto’s en als er wat is trekt ze meteen aan de bel, dus de communicatie is ook prima. Je hebt als poes echt geluk als Menke op komt passen! 😻
Menke is een rustige, lieve en betrouwbare oppas. Ze past regelmatig op mijn twee katten en ook op de kat van mijn moeder, en dat gaat altijd super. Ze komt haar afspraken netjes na, is altijd op tijd en communiceert duidelijk. Als er iets verandert in de planning is ze flexibel en denkt ze fijn mee. Je merkt aan alles dat ze veel liefde en aandacht heeft voor dieren. Ik laat mijn katten met een gerust hart bij haar achter.

Schedule
I really miss having pets around, as my roommates are allergic. At my parents’ home, I have a British Shorthair, so I’m very used to being around cats and their personalities. I currently study at the Hogeschool Utrecht, and alongside my studies I also work in a restaurant, which keeps me quite busy. That’s exactly why I value the presence of a cat so much — it helps me relax and brings a sense of calm to my day.
