Over: Dear pet owners, my name is Paulien, I'm 25 years old and I live in Amsterdam-West. I have a studio apartment of 27m². I live on the ground floor, so there are no stairs, in case if your furr baby has trouble or isn't allowed to walk up and down stairs yet. I have finished college, I want to become a dog trainer next year, which is an online study, so I'll have plenty of time next to my study to take care of your furr babie(s). I don't have any pets of my own, so I have all the time to do what I love most, taking care of animals! I always make sure that my calendar is updated, but I'm free most of the time! Back in 2018 I had a partner who has 1 dog and 3 cats. I loved taking care of them, take long walks in the park or at the beach. Nothing brings me more joy than play and cuddle with them. My partner at the time had a family friend who owned a dog named Shana and used to take care of their dog, whenever she was on vacation, before she passed away. The reason why I don't have a pet of my own is because my apartment is too small (27m²). So I searched for an option where I can still take care and show my love for pets. I found Rover and started working through here in 2019 as a pet sitter. My heart aches for animals and I want to share my love for them with as many pet owners as I can. I'd love to learn more where needed. Rince Rover is my full time job, I have plenty of time to take care of your furr babies! I can take your dog(s) on long walks if you'd like or stay inside and play/cuddle with some lovely cats. My apartment is fairly small and I don't have a garden where dogs can play, so I'd take them to the park near me (Westerpark) to have some fun, run around and just have a good time. With cats I just like to play with them, cuddle with them and of course let them have their own space where they can rest and explore. I will make sure to give them their space and let them get used to me. I will let the pets be and let them come to me before interacting, I respect their space and want them to feel safe and comfortable around me. When I would be staying in your home, I will always ask if there are things I have to be cautious about (for instance, if the dog is anxious, make sure he doesn't get sensory overladed and if so, because it can be pretty crowded outside, please go back home).

We go out 3 to 4 times a day – in the morning, afternoon, and evening – ensuring that the pet has multiple opportunities to relieve itself and get some exercise. De benedenverdieping is hun plek: een open keuken- en eetruimte zonder bank, alleen ruimte voor de honden. Vanuit deze ruimte is er directe toegang tot de tuin. In de winter blijft de deur gesloten om naar buiten te gaan, maar in de zomer is de deur open, zodat ze vrij in en uit kunnen gaan. We gaan ook meerdere keren per dag naar buiten om met de bal te spelen, naast de wandelingen in het park. Idealiter hebben honden geen toegang tot de bovenverdieping, waar onze slaapkamer is. Dit is bespreekbaar, afhankelijk van de specifieke behoeften van jouw hond. The ground floor is their space—an open kitchen and dining area with no sofa, just room for the dogs. From this area, there is direct access to the patio. In winter, the door will be kept closed to go outside, but in summer, the door is open so they can freely go in and out. We also go outside several times a day to play ball, in addition to the walks in the park. Ideally, dogs won’t access the upper floor, where our bedroom is. However, this can be discussed based on your pet’s specific needs. We’re flexible!

Over: Hallo💃🏾 mijn naam is Rebecca en ik woon op een paar minuten afstand van het geweldige Jagersplas park. Ik zal hieronder wat over mijzelf vertellen. In mijn jeugd altijd honden gehad thuis. Het is zo fijn om een maatje te hebben waar je altijd mee kan kroelen. Honden zijn trouwe dieren die er altijd voor je zijn. Daarnaast hebben ze ook nog eens humor! Ik heb zelf een paar jaar geleden een ander huisje gezocht voor mijn Aussie. Ik kwam in een burn-out en kon niet meer ver lopen. Ik zie Kai nog elk jaar in Zeeland en hij is gelukkiger dan ooit. Het was een verdrietige situatie maar het was nog erger niet goed te kunnen zorgen voor hem. Ik heb meerdere trainingen met Kai en ben dus wel wat gewend. Ik vind het erg leuk om te trainen en gebaren aan te leren. Wist je dat honden ontzettend visueel zijn ingesteld? Je kan een hond makkelijk trainen en opdrachten geven met handgebaren. Inmiddels ben ik steeds mobieler en zou het leuk vinden af en toe op te passen. Ik mis het wel namelijk. Ik woon in een maisonnette met mijn zoon een vriend. Mijn zoon is 14 en ook hartstikke dol op honden. Uw hond krijgt hier dan ook alle aandacht en liefde. Ik heb een ruim dakterras en het park is om de hoek! Ik kom daar elke dag voor een wandeling dus uw viervoeter kan gezellig mee natuurlijk. Verder ga ik graag naar het bos of het strand. Ik hoop uw hond snel te mogen knuffelen. Ik ben volledig thuis en beschikbaar. Ik ga elke dag wandelen in het park en kan alle aandacht geven die een hond nodig heeft. Ik ben weinig buiten de deur dan voor een boodschap. Ik heb een mooi terras op het zuiden, in de zomer heerlijk met een parasol. Ik woon op drie hoog in een maisonnette, er is een lift.

Over: As a kid I was surrounded by cats and also by dogs when I grew up! I will take care of your pet like it’s my own. I have a Bernese mountain dog who is under 1 year old and together our dogs will have a lot of fun, play and walks! I work from home, so I’m almost always with your pet and with my dog. I would usually take my dog for 3-4 walks of 30 minutes in the day, one short walk in the morning when we wake up and before going to bed, and we have a play session or longer walk in the evening before or after dinner. I take care of your dog like my own. I know that it can be stressful to leave your pet to someone else. Therefore I will follow your indications (home rules, cage, food, education, schedule…). I can send you pictures during the day. Of course I’ll take allergies, fears or need of space from your dog into consideration.

Over: I’ve had dogs my whole life (and plenty of other pets too)! I feel comfortable and relaxed around dogs, I prefer them to most people I think! I will provide everything your dog could possibly need. I’ve had experience with puppies and training, all the way through to caring for senior dogs and their requirements. I currently have my own dog who needs at least 3 walks a day so your dog will receive exactly the same! I currently work two days a week but, on the days I work, my partner Ross will be at home (I’ve uploaded a photo of the two of us with our dog!) My daily routine completely revolves around my dog and what he needs so I’m also happy to cater to your furry friends needs too! We sometimes have weekend plans but these are normally dog friendly activities too. I have a fenced patio outside that your dog is welcome to wander outside and go to the toilet in. I also have my dog who will keep your friends company too. Dogs are allowed anywhere in our home, so if your dog needs some quiet alone time then they can take themselves off for some piece. Dogs are allowed on the sofa and bed too if they want. We also do have a crate for our dog that we can use if needed.

Over: Wij hebben sinds 2022 onze eigen gezinshond, een dalmatiër reu met de naam Mylo. Mylo werd mijn 4e kind nadat mijn jongste naar groep 1 ging. Ik heb ervaring met puppytijd, heb talloze cursussen gevolgd, en kan her en der ook helpen bij het trainen van je hond. Ik ben natuurlijk geen officiële hondentrainer, maar vind het wel erg leuk! Ik werk vanuit huis, en ben hierdoor grotendeels van de dag thuis. Ik ben geduldig en liefdevol. Ik bied flexibiliteit en voldoende aandacht. Wij hebben een eigen bedrijf in meubelreiniging, mijn man is hiervoor buiten de deur aan het werk en ik zit thuis achter de schermen. Hierdoor ben ik grotendeels van de dag thuis, op kinderen halen en brengen van school na of een boodschapje oid. Wij hebben een dalmatiër van bijna 2 jaar, Mylo. Mylo is een gecastreerde vriendelijke reu. Doordat we zelf een hond hebben beschik ik over diverse lijnen, trektuigen, een bench, voerbakken, speelgoed, brain training tools etc. We hebben ook een kat, Zazu. Dit is een ragdoll die voornamelijk buiten is.

Over: Hi everyone! Ever since I was a little girl I have always had dogs around me, and I thought that was the best thing there is. Playing with them, walking them, but also all the responsibilities that come with it. Unfortunately, I can't get a dog myself at the moment, because my schedule is too irregular. I really miss having a dog around, so I hope I can help you, while your pet could make me very happy at the same time! The dog couch is still there <3 I currently work part-time (partly from home) and I am home a lot. In the evenings and weekends I am away a bit more often, but certainly not always. So I am available a lot and everything is up for discussion! I don't have any animals in my house anymore, and the area is quiet. I live with my father who isn't home much himself. Unfortunately I don't have a garden, but I do have plenty of space in my apartment. Dogs are allowed on the couch with me, but if you don't allow this, I'll stick to this. I walk a lot during the day and am very active, so your dog will definitely not spend too much time indoors.
