Over: Ik heb als kind zelf altijd honden gehad en ze ook altijd uitgelaten en veel met ze geknuffeld en gespeeld. Zelf hebben wij een chihuahua gehad die hebben we helaas moeten laten inslapen. Maar de liefde voor honden is er nog steeds mijn kindjes zijn ook gek op dieren. Ik werk in de zorg als zzp’er maar werk nooit hele lange uren achter elkaar kom tussen door altijd naar huis. I grew up in a very pet-loving family where we always had at least three dogs, sometimes four, alongside rabbits, fish, and other pets. I am additionally comfortable with senior dogs who need calm over chaos and dogs with specific routines or sensitivities. I ask for: honest answers on the intake form and a quick meet-and-greet before boarding or sitting bookings. Pet care isn't something I fit around a busy schedule, it is the priority when I have a booking. I work from home, which means dogs in my care aren't left alone for long stretches during the day. Walks, feeding, rest, and outdoor time follow your dog's natural routine as closely as possible, not mine. I keep bookings small so I'm never stretched across too many dogs at once. Over: Ik heb eigenlijk altijd met dieren gewoont en er hart voor gehad, zelf heb ik bij een dierenhotel gewerkt met voornamelijk honden en beseft dat het veel leuker is om voor mezelf te werken zolang er maar honden om me heen zijn. Ook ben ik op mijn vorige werkplek getraint om met lastigere honden om te kunnen gaan wat ookal zeg ik het zelf best goed doe. Ik heb op het moment 1 hond waar ik structureel op pas en het liefst spendeer ik mijn vrije tijd ook met honden want ja als je doet waar je van houdt hoef je geen enkele dag te werken. Thuis kunnen ze lekker op de slaapbank of op 1 van de 2 poefjes liggen of op bed mist ze schoon zijn hahhaa, vondelpark is bij mij om de hoek dus daar zijn we ook regelmatig te vinden.

Ik vind het heerlijk om met honden te wandelen, spelen en ze aandacht te geven zodat ze zich veilig en comfortabel voelen. Ik ben verantwoordelijk, rustig en zorgzaam, en ik pas me graag aan aan wat een hond nodig heeft, of dat nou een actieve wandeling is of juist een rustige knuffelsessie. Ik neem de tijd om een band op te bouwen zodat jouw hond zich op zijn gemak voelt. Ik help graag met uitlaten, oppassen en het geven van extra aandacht wanneer baasjes even weg zijn. Updates en foto’s sturen vind ik ook belangrijk, zodat je met een gerust gevoel weg kunt blijven! Ik heb zelf een lieve labradoodle van 10 jaar oud. Zij is erg snel bang dus ik weet als geen ander hoe je hiermee moet omgaan. Ik heb ook een tijdje op een cockapoo gepast. Hij is het tegenovergestelde van mijn hondje, druk en nergens bang voor. Hierdoor weet ik ook hoe ik de hond rustig kan krijgen. Het eventueel aanleren van trucjes vind ik heel erg leuk. Ik geef niet snel op! Momenteel heb ik geen vaste baan, dus ik ben heel flexibel! Ik ben een vroege vogel en ik ga er graag op uit. Ik heb nog geen rijbewijs, dus wandelingen in de buurt voor nu! Over: I began working with animals in 2016 through Paws and Claws, an independent daycare and dog walking service in the UK. My responsibilities included walking, feeding, and caring for dogs throughout the morning and afternoon. I was also responsible for pick-up and drop-off, which involved being trusted with access to clients’ homes. Alongside this, I carried out house calls to help socialise dogs or check in on those who didn’t require a full day of on-site daycare. At the daycare facility, I comfortably handled groups of up to ten dogs of varying breeds, sizes, and temperaments on walks in the local woodlands. As demand grew, I expanded my services to include house and pet sitting across several nearby villages and towns. Over the years, I have cared for a wide range of animals, including dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, and guinea pigs, and I am also happy to tend to gardens or house plants when needed. After moving to Utrecht for my studies, I began offering my own dog walking and pet sitting services to pet owners that I met in the city or at surrounding walking spots. During my time in Utrecht, I also worked for a local hondenuitlaat service, which gave me experience with a lot of common (and some less common) Dutch breeds. On my working days, if I am looking after a dog, I like to bring them with me so that they can socialise with the pack. All transport is done using a fully converted, dog-friendly wagon with additional AC (and lots of cookies!). If a dog needs to be left alone or doesn't get along with other dogs, this can also be easily accommodated during the day in a safe, penned-off area at the facility. On my days off, I am entirely flexible and work from home while finishing my Master's thesis, making my routine highly compatible with dedicated pet care. I live with my girlfriend in a large, multi-room apartment in the Rivierenbuurt neighbourhood of Amsterdam. The location is convenient for dogs and humans alike, being just a short walk from several metro stations and with easy drop-off outside via street access. Over: I’ve been surrounded by animals all my life, getting to bond easily with them, specially dogs… I’ve been cat, dog and bird sitting all around the world. My daily goal is to walk 10.000 steps a day, so I am taking walking breaks from work and is the way that I start and finish my day. It would even better to walk with a dog. I make sure they have water and food when needed and walk the dogs after each meal and always find the best stick to play. With cats I clean the litter every day and brush their hair if they have it long. I would try to keep their owners rules at mine but if they convince me to be on my couch with puppy eyes it won’t be my fault.
