“Rillan was great with my dog. She is so kind and patient and knows how to handle unexpected situations. She also responds in a very timely manner and is very helpful! Absolutely recommend her.”
“Had a great experience with Kenya and Simone, and it was clear that our dog was much more relaxed than in a traditional kennel. I appreciated Kenya meeting with us beforehand, since it was my first time using Rover. And great to receive pics of activities during the stay--including watching the World Cup together. :) Very prompt communication, both before and during the stay. Would definitely book with them again!”
“Jodi and Bruce treated our fur baby like one of the family, exactly what we were hoping for in finding a home away from home for her. She looks forward to a return stay, and we'll be confident leaving her in their care.”
“Deanna was an amazing dog boarder. She was extremely responsive to all communications and flexible in accommodating any changes. Spencer and Mia had a blast and settled right into a safe, welcoming, and loving home. Deanna sent copious amounts of picture and video updates. Deanna will absolutely be first on my list of boarders if we return to Lewisburg.”
“Our Jax is very skittish and does not take quickly to strangers. But he warmed to Allison in a short time. He stayed at her apartment and was in good spirits when we picked him up. I'll use her again if the occasion arises.”
“Alexis was fantastic. I booked her last minute and she did an amazing job. Sadie had an upset stomach when I dropped her off and Alexis did a great job with Sadie's meds and looking after her. She was feeling much better when she got home. Would definitely book again.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Nittany home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Nittany.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
