House Sitting in Nichols

About: I’ve had and been around dogs all my life, from free roaming farm dogs to the most spoiled Pomeranians. I’m the guy who has treats and a leash in his car just in case I see a loose dog running around or hear there’s one nearby. I’m the guy who will remember your dog’s name, but probably not yours. I’m the guy pet owners warn that their dog is anxious of people, only to watch their dog sense my immediate love for them. I work as a freelancer, so my availability is mostly wide open outside of some specific appointments and projects that will be noted in my profile. In your home, I will follow any patterns and schedules you request to maintain a consistent experience for your dog. I have three dogs in my home consisting of two puppies and one senior, so I will not be hosting any appointments here at this time.

“Laila was awesome! I am VERY particular with who I would leave the care to for my Chesapeake Bay Retrievers... as all of us pet owners are. So often I pass on fun places to go because I don't want to kennel my dogs. I found Laila to be communicative to let me know how the dogs were doing; i.e. sending me pics and texts periodically. I came home to a neat house and exactly the way I left it and to happy content dogs. I honestly think the dogs missed her when they realized she was gone and "Mom" was home. I cannot recommend her enough... and I know that will probably increase her unavailability for me when I need her, but she gets a 5 star plus plus plus from me... and again I am super particular with who I let walk or watch my dogs. About: We had a mini schnauzer growing up, who we adored! She taught us so much patience with the insistent barking, so I can handle anything!(: I’m looking to walk dogs when I have down time over the weekend, or on shorter days of work during the week (Tuesday, Thursday, some Fridays). I will be primarily walking dogs, but I will purchase a long leash for letting dogs hang out in my yard if we dog-sit. Our yard is half an acre, so plenty of space to run.

“Melissa stayed in our home and cared for our two pups while on a last minute trip. She was so caring to our aging pet who is 15 and diabetic while also managing our high energy labradoodle. Melissa has tremendous experience in caring for animals and issuing special medical attention if needed, she gave our pet insulin with every meal and always asked a question to make sure things were just right. We feel pretty blessed to have found Melissa to care for our home and pets while away. She left the house more tidy that when we left and went above and beyond for our family. We are so thankful to have found someone so kind and caring through Rover!”

About: I am 44 years old, have 3 kids, 3 grandchildren and love animals. I have 1 dog and 3 outside cats. I would love to add other dogs to play with and teach everyday. I own my house and have ample running around space and like taking walks and going swimming with the pups. I enjoy all breeds of dogs and don't discriminate against size or age. Please help me to find some friends to get to know and play with. I am currently laid off from work and can give your animals all the attention that they would need and deserve. I also have a minivan, so transporting multiple animals isn’t a problem. I do not have a fenced in yard, but I do leash in the yard and go to a spot down the road from my house that has a fenced in area for them to run with no other animals around.

About: I have lived with dogs my entire life and have always been drawn to them. My Dad jokes that he would love to be one of my dogs because they are treated like royalty! There are always 2 to 3 dogs in my pack at all times along with 1 to 3 fosters. I have been fostering for Happily Ever After Animal Sanctuary for about 10 years now and have been walking dogs at their Sanctuary facility for almost 13. I love to be around any dog of any size, but always have a soft spot for the shy guys or trouble makers:) I feel it's my job to do what I can to restore the animals faith in humanity after it was let down by the person who was trusted to take care of them. If you have a dog or dogs who need someone to come take care of them while you are away, I would love to do so! Or if you have a long day at work and would like them to get a walk, I can do that too:) Looking forward to meeting you and your dog soon! Missy I will do my best to work your needs into my daily routine. In home care is also an option for any day of the week... I have 5 acres with a fenced in yard and 5 dogs currently living with me. There is a heated garage and greenhouse for separation if needed and I also have crates in all various sizes.

“Maddie watched four dogs (our regular three plus one rambunctious sassy puppy that we are fostering) in our home overnight. Communication was good throughout the stay and pictures and updates were provided. Maddie walked all four each day and fed and watered them as well as providing play time in the yard with the Chuck-It toys. She even worked in helping our foster puppy learn a couple commands!”
