About: I have loved animals my whole life and have had many pets; dogs, cats, horses, birds, rabbits, sheep and more. I thoroughly enjoy being with animals, loving and caring for them. Some of my first jobs were at animal clinics, where I learned a lot about caring for animals. I was in FFA as a youth, where I raised and showed sheep, and where I also learned a lot. In my younger years I had many horses. I learned how to care for them, feeding, exercising, and cleaning up after them, etc! I learned responsibility, in addition to a deep love of animals. All of my experiences with my own animals, have made me a knowledgeable, responsible and compassionate animal care provider. I am currently semi-retired from working in the hospitality industry. I have plenty of time and I would thoroughly enjoy taking care of your beloved pets. I have an adorable mini schnauzer, Dudley, and a domestic short hair cat, Pete. I love them both so much and get so much enjoyment out of having and caring for them. We love cuddling, talking, and playing. I make sure they have the food, treats, exercise and attention they desire, and are well taken care of and will treat yours with the same love and respect that I show to my own pets.

About: I’ve loved and cared for animals for as long as I can remember. My very first pet was my childhood cat, who I got when I was 2 years old and who lived with me for 17 wonderful years before crossing the rainbow bridge. I’ve always had a special connection with animals and a passion for caring for them. Over the years, I’ve gained experience caring for many different types of pets, including dogs, cats, birds, fish, and more. I currently have two Dobermans and a kitty of my own. Pet care naturally fits into my daily routine since I already care for my own animals every day. At my home, pets have access to a large, secure fenced yard for safe outdoor time and exercise. I also have spacious fenced in kennels available if needed for safety, rest time, or individual comfort. Pets are always supervised, given plenty of attention, and cared for in a clean, calm environment. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always respect their routines, instructions, and house rules to help pets feel comfortable and stress free in their familiar environment. I like to check in with pet parents often, sending pictures and updates to give them peace of mind while their pets are in my care.

We had a meet and greet with their dog Rufus prior to setting up daycare and Bodhi and Rufus play very well together. They always send a Rover card documenting how the day went with photos and potty breaks. They even go above and beyond and give Bodhi mental enrichment with puzzles and healthy treats. “Amanda was very gracious towards our very naughty puppy. Apparently, some of the nervous behaviors that we don’t see at home came out with an unholy flourish at Amanda‘s home. But I appreciate the fact that Amanda gave us a full and honest report (which is helpful for us to gauge the areas he still needs significant training) and was very kind about the negatives. The most important thing, though, was that he settled down in the car almost immediately. Our dog is a very nervous dog, so if he has had a rough time at a dog sitter, we know right away because he whines and whimpers all the way home. After leaving Amanda‘s house, he winded for about 60 seconds and then went to sleep. Hallelujah! Thank you, Amanda, for the top quality care you have given to our very low quality puppy. I am especially grateful that Amanda was willing to take the puppy at the last minute, because my husband had a hospital procedure and I had completely forgotten about making arrangements for the dog. What a godsend Amanda has been.”

I enjoy taking walks and cooking. I have always had 3 to 4 dogs at a time. Unfortunately, they all start passing away one by one. My dogs were like my kids! Each one, lived a long life. My last boy, passed away- about 2 yrs ago. I will get another dog, around the 1st of the year sometime. I miss all of my babies so much! I would enjoy watching your small dog, that's more on the calm side. I watch, quite a few Senior dogs. I have a fenced yard , and will always be outside with them. Never alone! My gate is always locked. They will be safe with me.

About: I have cared for and loved animals since I was a little girl. I was raised in a house with dogs of all types and have continued to have them in my life. I have two rescues, a 6-lb sweet female chihuahua and a 30-lb shy male terrier mix, that love to be around other dogs but who also are submissive to and respect other dogs’ needs for their own space. Having been a zookeeper and vet tech, I have worked on training various critters, as well as cared for elderly animals that need special attention or medications. I work from home with my husband full time and we are always ready for fur baby snuggles on our couch and bed. We also live near a canal and trails, so dog walks are very frequent in our home. Because we live farther away, we are also willing to come do pickups to keep you from having to drive to us, but we understand completely wanting to see where your pups are staying. I work from home nearly full time except Tuesdays, but my husband is home full time everyday. I am an early riser and can do early walks/pickup/potty breaks. As we are working on house projects due to this being a new and first home purchase, we are home a ton on the weekends too. If I am staying at your home, I can arrange to be there constantly because my husband is home to care for my pups. I don’t have a fenced yard, but live very close to a dog park that is fenced. I also have a canal trail right off my driveway and we walk our two dogs on it all the time. My two babies are extremely sweet and friendly with other dogs. I am an extremely tidy and organized person, so whether your pup stays with me or I come to your home, I can guarantee I will always leave things as good or better than I found them. Also, if you have any last-minute travel issues, I can almost always adapt to host longer to make sure you don’t have to stress about what will happen to your pup.

I love to take care of pets and know just how to make your pets day fun and stimulating so when they come home they can be the warm fuzzy friend you love! I am a stay at home mom so I have open availability. Did I mention I take hikes?!? Yep that's right folks...a dog sitter that will actually take your fur baby on an adventure when you're at work! I personally have been training pups since I was 15 years old, so that will be a part of the daily activities. If your fur baby has special needs that is fine too! My mom and I have been involved with Muttville for years! Pittbull and other (“aggressive”) breeds 110% welcome!! I use that term EXTREMELY LOOSELY! I will host any breed of dog, I do not believe it is the dogs breeding that causes aggression or biting. Most times it is just inexperience on the humans part or fear on the dogs part. Feel confident bringing your pup to stay with me, I monitor all activity and continue to reinforce your training expectations while you’re away.
