Elias took fantastic care of my tricky kitty, including administering meds in food and dealing with frozen wet food (Smalls) which is trickier than scooping dry food or opening a can. They were very responsive communication-wise and enthusiastic. I will definitely turn to them again for kitty care when I next leave town.

About: Pet Care and Housesitting Experience (18 Years): With over a decade of dedicated pet care and housesitting experience, I travel all over the world to housesit, and I have developed a deep understanding and genuine love for both animals and providing a comfortable, secure environment for homeowners. Throughout the years, I have had the privilege of caring for a wide variety of pets, including dogs, cats, birds, fish, and small mammals. My approach to pet care is centered around building strong relationships with the animals I look after. I take the time to understand their unique personalities, preferences, and routines, ensuring that they feel safe, loved, and well-taken care of in their owner's absence. From feeding and grooming to exercise and playtime, I am committed to maintaining a consistent and nurturing environment that meets each pet's individual needs. In addition to pet care, I am also well-versed in housesitting responsibilities. I understand the importance of home security and take great care in maintaining a clean, organized, and secure living space. I am dedicated to ensuring an stress-free experience for both you and your furry family members, allowing you to enjoy your time away with confidence and peace of mind. Flexibility and Adaptability: While I maintain a structured routine, I understand that flexibility is crucial in accommodating unexpected circumstances or special needs. About: I tend to be fun, responsible, and calming for them. I like it and take pride in it. The best thing about caring for animals, is seeing their personalities, what they consider manners, and seeing them light up when they're being respected on their terms too. The best part of my mornings on my family farm, is taking a hike with the Bassett. Neither of us are satisfied with our morning until it happens. She needs it, and deserves it. While I'm away from her, I need to hike, or I get soft I ask owners what their pets needs and personalities are. What they consider manners, and if they are tricksters, what to expect. All animals are their own kind of person, and they deserve to be treated as such.

About: I grew up with animals my whole life and I’ve helped taken care of friends and families animals. I also used to work at a farm and help with those animals many times. I have two babies at home that I take care of 24/7. I’m a stay at home mom who would have plenty of time on my hands every day. I have a big backyard where pups can go out and walk and have fun. I have a dog crate if needed and I have a dog of my own and cats of my own for your fur babies to love.

Emily made me feel so comfortable during this process. She was just wonderful with my dog. So reliable. So kind and caring. Highly recommended.

It's all about the precious pets needs for me. I provide 5 star service and have a flexible schedule to meet your and your four legged friends needs! I currently work a 9 to 5 remote job and have plenty of flexibility to meet you and your pets needs. I can house sit or do drop ins as needed with my schedule. About: I have taken care of many animals, from aquatic to a variety furry friends. I am always willing to offer a hand in any kind of care or training that is needed to be kept up while their humans are away so that you can be sure the critters are getting the best care and love while you’re away. I am a paraeducator at a school that is less than a mile from my house. I come home everyday at lunch time and usually home by 3:15. Walks and playtime are a necessity for our fur babies and they love having friends to play with! I have 2 female dogs, both very friendly. We have an underground fence, though I would keep your fur baby on a leash when we go outside. We have a nice yard, about half an acre, live near a stream and love taking walks around the neighborhood.

  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
