About: My first experience taking care of dogs came at the age of 14 when my family got a rescue black lab puppy. Around the same time, I also started taking care of my friends' pets when they were away. Ever since then, I've become a huge dog lover and have become quite familiar with their different needs and signals. Whether they are playful, couch potatoes, big babies, or outside-lovers, I'm there for them! I am doing this as a part-time gig for the summer, so I have plenty of flexibility! The only times that don't work for me are Thursday and Friday mornings. I can take care of your pet on weekends and (most) holidays. I know meeting new people can be overstimulating for some dogs, especially with the combination of owners being away. I focus on being gentle and making pets feel as comfortable as possible. I also recognize every dog is unique and has their own habits/needs, which I take into account as well.

About: I have always loved dogs and eventually the begging worked when we got our first family dog when I was 7. Along with our own family dogs, I have taken care of many different dogs in my life, from Maltese to Great Dane, from 9 weeks old to 15 years old. I have dog-sat neighbor's dogs for weeks at a time, taken care of service dogs, and began fostering in 2020. I care for and love all dogs like they are my own and am learning more and more about training as I foster service dogs in training while at school! I am currently in school taking four classes so the majority of my time is free. I am available for walks/care about every day of the week except for 12:30-4 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The way I care for a pet varies between clients as sometimes I am asked to do simple training, while other times I'm told the dog is totally fine hanging out they just need someone to be home. I always follow the owners instructions/recommendations to ensure the best experience for all involved! I also do not typically feel comfortable letting dogs off leash outside unless the area is fenced in, I prefer to be on the safe side. Your dog will be in the best hands :)

About: Hi! My name is Juliana and I am a college student living in Boston this summer. I am a dog owner myself and have experience with dogs of all ages. I am comfortable meeting new dogs (or cats!) and taking care of them. I looking forward to the opportunity to walk or house sit for your pup! I am a student at Northeastern University and I just wrapped up a 6 month internship. Looking to stay busy the rest of the summer. I have a very flexible schedule and will be available during mornings, afternoons and evenings! I live in the city so can easily get to different homes. I can take them out on walks, feed them if needed, play with them, and offer them lots of attention.

“I reached out to Jennefer at the last minute for a few drop in visits to let my dog out and to feed him. Jennefer was quick to respond and very accommodating to meet us at the house the same day. She was very friendly and Sandy took to her immediately. I was happy with her communication and concern about my elderly dog. I definitely will call on her again if needed ❤️”

About: I have grown up with pets my entire life and in my teen years began to watch friends and neighbor's animals. I have experience with elderly animals and with training younger ones as well! I am currently a college student working a summer internship, however I have availability past 6:00 Monday through Thursday and full availability Friday through Sunday. With both my own pets and pets that I watch I first make sure they consistently have clean water and the appropriate food. Around every two hours for dogs I will bring them outside and let them play. I also try to interact/ play with the animal as often as possible, but respect their boundaries if they are a little more timid.

“Sara was great with our dog! He is a nervous boy and was unsure about a new person coming into our home. Sara was a patient problem-solver who was willing to go above and beyond to help Riley feel comfortable.”

About: Hi there! I’m a lifelong animal lover with a soft spot for both cats and dogs. While I’m new to Rover, I’ve spent many years caring for pets in a home environment—growing up with two cats and a sweet family dog who truly felt like part of the family. I’ve always been the go-to person among friends and family for feeding, walking, and spending time with their pets when they’re away. I understand how important it is to have someone you trust to look after your furry loved ones—and I take that responsibility seriously. I’m attentive, reliable, and happy to follow any specific instructions you provide. Whether your pet needs a brisk walk, calm companionship, or just someone to play fetch with, I’ll make sure they’re well taken care of and treated like my own. I’m also happy to send photos and updates while you’re away so you can feel confident that your pet is in good hands. I’m excited to meet new pets and their people—and I look forward to helping however I can! My schedule is very flexible (usually available at all hours), which allows me to provide dependable pet care throughout the week. Whether it’s a morning walk, a midday check-in, or an evening feeding, I make time for each pet and treat every visit with the attention it deserves. I always treat pets and their homes with the utmost respect. I follow all owner instructions carefully, prioritize safety, and make sure pets feel calm, secure, and loved. I never leave a pet unsupervised outside, and I clean up after them to keep things tidy. My goal is to make the experience stress free for both the pet and the owner.
