“Stephanie was amazing with our not so easy pups. She made our daycation relaxing and stress free! We got pictures and updates all day long. Would highly recommend!”

“Maya is an awesome nanny for our kitty. While we were traveling to Yellowstone National Park, Maya kindly helped take care of our little girl—our beloved cat, Meme. She kept us updated with photos and stories of Meme’s daily activities. As a talented writer, Maya beautifully captured their moments together with vivid and heartwarming descriptions. Meme quickly warmed up to Maya and settled in with ease. She’s been eating well—so well, in fact, that she’s noticeably heavier than before! We’re truly grateful for the time and care that Maya and her husband devoted to looking after her. Thanks to their support, we were able to enjoy our trip with complete peace of mind.”

“So happy with Ranger’s first boarding experience! Great welcoming and comfortable home. Jonathan was a great communicator and had great feedback about my large breed dog. Am completely comfortable booking for a longer trip in my near future!”

“Heather was great! She watched my two kitties long term, they can be a handful and she was great with them! She also accommodated my specific needs and took them last minute! Will definitely use again if needed!”

“April has quickly become our go to sitter for Hank in the area! As always 10/10 recommend. We get a good laugh at the pictures we receive of him playing and lounging in the yard. We appreciate April’s great care as always. We feel comfort knowing he’s in such great hands!”

“My dog immediately felt right at home at Kat's house. She was great with her. Kat was also really easy to communicate with on pick up and drop off times. I would definitely use her again.”

“Highly recommend! Took great care of my pup and was very good with communication! Flexible and you can tell she loves all animals as much as her own! ? my buddy had a great time there”
About: What sets me apart is the love and attention I give to every pet I care for. I treat every animal like they are my own and take the time to learn their personality, routines, and individual needs. I’m patient, responsible, and always want pets to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I also understand how important it is to have someone you can trust with your pets, so I make communication and updates a priority. My goal is for both you and your pet to feel comfortable and confident in my care. I’m currently a ysu student commuting from home in the Austintown area. I work in home health care 2-4 times a week. I have lots of free time to care for your pets! I care for every pet as if they were my own. In a client’s home, I follow their normal routine and any specific instructions they provide for feeding, medications, walks, playtime, and bedtime. I make sure they have fresh food and water, plenty of attention, and a clean and comfortable space. I also give pets the time they need to feel comfortable with me and always respect their personality and boundaries. I’ll keep you updated with pictures and messages so you can relax knowing your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for.
“Kelli was great! So easy to communicate with and was so sweet with our little guy! Loved getting updates and photos while we were gone. Moose needs medicine 3xday and Kelli was great working with his schedule:). We will definitely be using her again!!!”

“I cannot recommend Aricka enough! She took such great care of my animals. She had amazing communication sending pics and updates. When we came to pick them up my pup didn’t want to leave. She’s the best rover and the reason I want to keep using rover! I’m so grateful for her taking such great care of them in such short notice.”

“Isabel provided wonderful care for our 2 pups! She provides a home environment with plenty of love, attention, and daily walks. Appreciate her attention to safety and nurturing.”

“We left our somewhat anxious dog with Cornelia and her family for 10 days over Christmas. Our dog LOVED her! Cornelia and Greg took excellent care of her with many daily walks and lots of attention. I received daily pictures on how she was doing. Chimkin came back happy, healthy, and perfectly calm. We will always ask Cornelia for dogsitting in the future, she is by far the best pet sitter we have ever had!!”

“When in need of a loving sitter for my large dog, Christina was very accommodating. It was my dog's first time in a home with cats, and she seemed to adjust quickly. My dog has a special diet, that includes rice and turkey. Christina managed to take care of all of my dog's food necessities on top of making her feel welcome. Additionally, my dog not only ate all her food, but in record time at a rover stay. I got updates throughout the day along with the pictures I requested. Definitely will look to Christina for any future stays as she cared for my dog as if it were her own.”

“Hanna was great with our pup during our weekend trip. Many pictures and updates kept us worry free while we were on the road. The beautiful scenery on her farmland makes for a great place for any furry friends to relax and play. Our girl will definitely be back with Hanna during our next adventure!”

“Kelly was so great with squishy! She took such good care of her and sent us pictures every day. She made sure to follow everything! My puppy even cried when we were leaving Kelly’s house after picking her up!”

About: I have shown dogs in the confirmation room. For over 20 years. I have shown dogs to the point that they'd have become champions. I've had one dog invited to Westminster. I'm familiar with grooming dogs for show. But I am now retired from all those things. But I still retain my skills. Not to toot my own horn, but I have had 1 dog invited to West Minister. I am a retired school teacher. So I am usually very flexible. With my animals. Currently my. Project is working with. A new toy poodle I got. Training him. In obedience. I have one puppy, toy Poodle. I currently have 4 cats that have rescued. My puppy is doing well. I have had him for a year still working at potty training. In the evening. I usually spend time watching TV with Tallow (puppy). Socialize, socialize socialize! Working with my poodles hair while watching TV also provides bonding time and patience for you and your puppy.
About: All my life i’ve been surrounded by animals of all sorts; dogs, cats, chickens, horses, turtles, you name it and ive had it! I think it’s very important that us caretakers provide all needs for your furry(and non-furry) friends! Some animals have certain accommodations like extra play time, long walks, attention, meal plans, or even separation from other animals in the house that i believe must always be met. Making sure your animal feels loved and cared for even in absence from their owners is also crucial in helping keep our animal family happy! Having many animals of my own (1 dog, 8 cats, a turtle, a lizard, and chickens) caring for these animals has become a daily routine. Being away for school definitely puts a riff in my routine of animal care so i’m always looking for a way to spend some extra time with animals even if they’re not my own. My dog has terrible anxiety and needs extra care. She is often let out to run free in our backyard. Out 8 cats need fed and watered multiple times a day with one of our cats liking the great outdoors as well. The lizard and turtle need fed on a different schedule as they don’t get fed daily. Litter boxes and other animal dropping are cleaned in a daily basis along with any other mess that comes along with pet ownership. Regular baths and grooming are also necessary for the proper care of all animals.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their New Middleton home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your New Middleton.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your New Middleton sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
