About: I have had my own pets ever since being little. I have also worked for a pet sitting business a few years ago that offered many services to their clients. My home is a fun loving home with a daily schedule and lots of love and fun. I am currently a part time worker and I only work 4 days a week for just a few hours during the day. I am home most of the time except if I am running kids to games or practice in the evening. I have a small fenced in area and a doggy door that is available as well. I am also outside often too. We have a quiet and great neighborhood for walks as needed.

About: I’m 24 and I’ve lived with dogs and cats my whole life—puppies, old timers, and everything in between. Animals aren’t just pets to me, they’re family. Whether it’s walks, playtime, baths, cuddles, feeding, or just hanging out, I’ll do anything when it comes to your four-legged kids. I’ve cared for people’s pets before, and it’s something I enjoy. I’m reliable, always on time, and go above and beyond what’s expected. If you’re looking for someone who genuinely loves animals and takes care of them like they’re his own, I’m your guy! I currently work a salaried position from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on weekdays. **Weekday Availability:** Evenings after 5:00 PM are wide open for pet sitting, cuddles, and any necessary care—whether it's feeding, walking, or simply keeping your pet company. **Weekend Availability:** The weekends are the real treat! I'm available all day Saturday and Sunday for anything from quick visits to overnight stays. If your pet needs a cozy sleepover, Friday and Saturday nights are ideal. When caring for pets, whether at my home or my client's, their comfort and safety always come first. Your pet's well-being is my top priority. At my home, I offer a wide-open, fenced backyard where animals can explore safely. Inside, I maintain a secure, pet-friendly space with no hazards. If requested by owners, I can accommodate crate-training, though you'll need to provide the crate. I have three playful, friendly male cats (under a year old) who love interacting with other animals. I respect every pet's unique personality, ensuring positive and stress-free interactions. Clear communication with owners about their pet's preferences is key—so you can feel confident your pet is in trustworthy hands. My home is stocked with essentials: fresh food, clean water, and plenty of toys to keep pets active and engaged. There's also climbing furniture for those curious explorers. The setup ensures your pet has fun, stays comfortable, and feels at home. Every service is tailored to the unique needs of the pet and the owner. Whether it's an afternoon of supervised play or overnight care, I go above and beyond to create a safe, trusting, and happy environment for every animal. Let me know how I can make your pet's experience even more amazing!

About: I have been taking care of animals ever since I was about 9 years old! I had a hamster growing up and we had two family dogs growing up. I have experience taking care of other people's animals as well as taking care of family pets such as my sister's dog (beagle mix) and my parent's dogs (two Chesapeake bay retrievers and a rescue hound). I also have experience taking care of cats for family & friends! I also have experience helping take care of newborn puppies, as my stepdad breeds Chesapeake Bay Retrievers. I love animals and I am very passionate about taking care of them and have always had a special place in my heart for them. As of right now I work full time, from 8am-5pm I am available evenings after 5pm and I am available on weekends. I could also potentially be available on my lunch break depending on the location, as I get an hour lunch break daily from 11am-12pm. I unfortunately can't offer in-home services at this time. I will be sure to follow any instructions or guidelines you need met for your fur-baby. I am a respectful individual and I will be sure your pet has the best care!

About: I’m currently going to school to become an RVT! (Registered Veterinary Technician) As I am learning, I don’t have much time for an animal hospital job just yet. I would like to use these experiences for learning purposes and some extra money for schooling! I have pets at home that I take care of very well, and would like to provide as much care as possible for your pets too. Since I am still in college, my availability is 4pm to 10:30/11pm every week day. If needed on weekends, I can schedule something ahead of time no problem! Just no overnight stays. I will not take any animals to my personal home. I am able to visit your home and let them out, feed them, provide treats and toys, also walks! I love walking, but wont stray too far from their home. I can give baths, nail trims, administer at-home meds but am still in the learning process for more grooming capabilities. So far I have/have owned myself dogs/puppies, cats, bunnies, and guinea pigs!

About: I’ve had dogs and other pets for as long as I can remember. When I was about 10, I became obsessed with reading about different dog breeds and their needs. My first job actually working with pets was a dog daycare. I loved building connections with the pups and their parents. At this job, I learned defensive handling skills (how to avoid or break up fights or attacks) and how to handle reactive, scared, and stubborn dogs. I work shorter hours on weekends so I’m able to make plenty of time for your baby, plus my wife is always home and will occasionally help care for your pet when I’m not around. I like to have group play or just time outside when it’s cool in the mornings and evenings. I have a fenced backyard that I check for holes daily and an open front yard (leashes at all times out front). I’m able to crate your dog at anytime they might need it and can even have them in a separate room if crates aren’t their thing. Another bonus is that my wife is home just about full time and is able to care for your pet when I’m not around. If I’m at your house, I will take your dog outside on a leash the first few times just to see how they are and to make sure they aren’t an escape artist once mom/dad is gone

Throughout my trip I received photos, videos, and detailed updates. Quincy even left a written summary of the stay for when I got home. I couldn't have asked for more.”

About: I’m obsessed with fur babies! Let me watch yours so I can be happy 24/7. Former puppy owner do I know how crazy that it. Very experienced as I’ve always loved with animals. Very open availability because my day job allows me to choose my own schedule. And I’m very flexible and willing to accommodate to your needs. Right now I can only do house/pet sitting at your place because I do have roommates. I’m not entirely confident he have someone else’s pets around them for reliability issues.

About: Young professional who loves to spend time with dogs in my free time. My free time is usually spent at home watching movies and just relaxing. What better way to spend my free time than with man's best friend at home as well. New to the area so I enjoy the company of dogs. Growing up in rural Indiana I was always around dogs whether our own or neighbors. Enjoy getting out and taking walks in new areas to explore. Have lots of free time when not working and would love to spend my time getting to hang out with new furry friends. Dog walking is another way of exercise for myself for myself when I am not spending time at the local gym. A

About: Hi! I’m a full-time professional with a deep love for animals and experience caring for pets of all kinds. I can provide a variety of pet care services and give each animal plenty of love, attention, and individualized care. I’m happy to care for both dogs and cats. *we do have a nice large run in the garage! I do have a personal dog who prefers to keep to herself; however, she will always be safely separated and put away during any pet stays to ensure a calm and secure environment for your pet. I also have kennels available if needed. Ive got lots of room plus a fenced in back yard! Thank you for trusting me with your furry family member — I look forward to caring for them! 😊 **I also have lots of experience working in dog shelters and kennels, so I know a lot! I can pick up in wabash too! I work full time- but can have a routine! My mother in law works at my house as a nanny. So if needed she will always be present. My dogs are bell trained so when they need to go potty I take them on a leash. Most dogs that have stayed with me have learned quickly where to go if they need to potty. I can provide any service for your pet, just tell me the details.

FAQs for Cat Sitting - New London

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
