“This was my first time using Rover and I choose DeLena based upon her profile which seemed like a great fit. It was that and much more! We did a greet & meet first and she was very nice and I felt she was dependable and trustworthy. I am so happy to have found her to take care of our Churro when we are out of town. She came on the days and time we arranged, was able to get great pictures and made sure Churro was well taken care of. He sometimes hides with new people but from the pictures, he was very happy with DeLena as well. :) We will definitely be booking with her again for the coming year. Thank you so much!”

About: I have had my own pets ever since being little. I have also worked for a pet sitting business a few years ago that offered many services to their clients. My home is a fun loving home with a daily schedule and lots of love and fun. I am currently a part time worker and I only work 4 days a week for just a few hours during the day. I am home most of the time except if I am running kids to games or practice in the evening. I have a small fenced in area and a doggy door that is available as well. I am also outside often too. We have a quiet and great neighborhood for walks as needed.
About: I’m 24 and I’ve lived with dogs and cats my whole life—puppies, old timers, and everything in between. Animals aren’t just pets to me, they’re family. Whether it’s walks, playtime, baths, cuddles, feeding, or just hanging out, I’ll do anything when it comes to your four-legged kids. I’ve cared for people’s pets before, and it’s something I enjoy. I’m reliable, always on time, and go above and beyond what’s expected. If you’re looking for someone who genuinely loves animals and takes care of them like they’re his own, I’m your guy! I currently work a salaried position from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on weekdays. **Weekday Availability:** Evenings after 5:00 PM are wide open for pet sitting, cuddles, and any necessary care—whether it's feeding, walking, or simply keeping your pet company. **Weekend Availability:** The weekends are the real treat! I'm available all day Saturday and Sunday for anything from quick visits to overnight stays. If your pet needs a cozy sleepover, Friday and Saturday nights are ideal. When caring for pets, whether at my home or my client's, their comfort and safety always come first. Your pet's well-being is my top priority. At my home, I offer a wide-open, fenced backyard where animals can explore safely. Inside, I maintain a secure, pet-friendly space with no hazards. If requested by owners, I can accommodate crate-training, though you'll need to provide the crate. I have three playful, friendly male cats (under a year old) who love interacting with other animals. I respect every pet's unique personality, ensuring positive and stress-free interactions. Clear communication with owners about their pet's preferences is key—so you can feel confident your pet is in trustworthy hands. My home is stocked with essentials: fresh food, clean water, and plenty of toys to keep pets active and engaged. There's also climbing furniture for those curious explorers. The setup ensures your pet has fun, stays comfortable, and feels at home. Every service is tailored to the unique needs of the pet and the owner. Whether it's an afternoon of supervised play or overnight care, I go above and beyond to create a safe, trusting, and happy environment for every animal. Let me know how I can make your pet's experience even more amazing!
About: I've been working with dogs off and on since I was 14. I've helped with vet visits, gone on walks, supervised park visits, and more especially as I've grown up and become more independent. I've also helped friends with training new habits and retraining old ones. I live with my elderly parents mowing the lawn and helping bring in the weekly groceries but after that my time is my own. I've found that having something to do outside the home is also rather rewarding (and going to the gym can be expensive.) For the dogs I sit for, I ask their owners to provide food and outline a schedule to maintain routines. I also ask that owners provide a current phone number and preferred veterinarian in case of emergency. I only work with one pet at a time unless there are multiple pets in the same household and they get along with each other.

I also have experience taking care of cats for family & friends! I also have experience helping take care of newborn puppies, as my stepdad breeds Chesapeake Bay Retrievers. I love animals and I am very passionate about taking care of them and have always had a special place in my heart for them. As of right now I work full time, from 8am-5pm I am available evenings after 5pm and I am available on weekends. I could also potentially be available on my lunch break depending on the location, as I get an hour lunch break daily from 11am-12pm. I unfortunately can't offer in-home services at this time. I will be sure to follow any instructions or guidelines you need met for your fur-baby. I am a respectful individual and I will be sure your pet has the best care!

“Quincy was fantastic. My senior cat has been having health issues and I was very worried about leaving her. Quincy was very knowledgeable though, and I felt sure I was leaving my cat in good hands. Throughout my trip I received photos, videos, and detailed updates. Quincy even left a written summary of the stay for when I got home. I couldn't have asked for more.”

About: Hi, I’m Nicole! I bring a calm, reliable, and highly disciplined approach to pet care, backed by hands-on professional experience. I spent six months as a Camp Counselor at Camp Bow Wow, where I managed groups of dogs, learned to read canine body language, and safely cared for dogs with varying temperaments—including both extremely shy pups and high-energy or aggressive dogs. In addition to my boarding facility experience, I am an amateur dog trainer with experience raising and training a service dog in training. My professional background is rooted in healthcare client advocacy and strict protocol management, which means I prioritize safety, clear communication, and following your exact care instructions above all else. Whether your pet needs a calm companion for low-stress walks or a structured environment while you’re away, you can trust them in experienced hands. Since I'm home full-time, pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine, not squeezed around a job. I grew up with dogs and cats, so feeding, walks, and playtime are second nature to me. I also spent six months at Camp Bow Wow doing daycare and boarding, which gave me hands-on experience managing multiple pets, reading their behavior, and keeping them safe and comfortable. I offer both drop-in visits and in-home sitting at clients' homes. During visits, I focus on sticking to the pet's normal routine, feeding, fresh water, walks, and playtime, while keeping a close eye on their behavior and comfort. I also have experience with more nervous or timid animals; I grew up fostering scared kittens and learned how to earn their trust through patience, calm energy, and letting them approach on their own terms. That experience taught me to read subtle cues and adjust my approach for each pet's personality.
About: I was a devoted pet parent for 12 years, caring for my yorkies Maggie & Molly from the time they were one through their senior years. I’m comfortable with feeding, walks, potty breaks, maintaining routines, and administering insulin injections when needed. I’ll treat your pets with the same care, patience, and love I’d want for my own 🐾 I work Monday through Friday 9am to 4pm. I’m in the office every Tuesday & Wednesday and every other Monday. I work from home on Thursdays & Fridays. I can provide pet care both before and after work, with extra flexibility on my work-from-home days ☺️ I care for pets with patience, attention, and lots of love. In a client’s home, I’ll follow their normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding, potty breaks, walks, playtime, medications, and plenty of attention. I’ll make sure they’re comfortable and safe, and I’ll keep you updated while you’re away 🐾❤️
About: Your pet won’t just be watched, they’ll be genuinely cared for, safe, and spoiled! I’ve grown up with pets my entire life and have hands-on experience working in doggy daycares, boarding facilities, and a veterinary clinic. I truly treat every pet like family and enjoy getting to know their unique personalities. I prioritize safety, comfort, and clear communication, treating every pet with the same level of care I would expect for my own. I’d love the opportunity to care for your furry friend and provide them with a safe, happy environment while you’re away! I have a flexible work schedule during the week and do not work weekends. I am able to do drop in visits as well as daycare! I have a larger yard away from busy streets, and have been trained to watch for social cues in animals when in a group setting. Animals are in and out all day long for potty breaks and play breaks outside!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
