“Treven loved having other dogs to play with and Vanessa provided extra reassurance that things were going well throughout his stay. I hope he is able to stay with her and her family again.”

“Amber and her family took awesome care of our pup! She sent us pictures/videos regularly and gave us updates everyday. She’s very easy to communicate with and clearly loves what she does 🐶 🦴”

“Meeko stayed with Jennifer for the first time last week and we were so happy with our experience. She has a big beautiful family so there is no shortage of love given to your pet. But between her own dogs and others boarding, Meeko had the best time playing with all of them and Jennifer sent plenty of photos and updates. We will absolutely use her services again I highly recommend her!”

“Kimberly is great! She is very quick at responding and giving updates (including photos). We noticed our dog came back very comfortable and relaxed. We are already booking again! Thank you very much Kimberly!”

“Tara was wonderful!!! This was my first time using Rover and she was great. Tara communicated well and often and provided updates about my dogs. Thank you so much for taking such great care of my babies!”

“Karin did an excellent job watching our fur baby Maggie she seemed happy and content thank you Karin we will definitely keep you in mind on our next get away Sincerely C. Williams”

“Kyri was an excellent dog sitter for Clover! She responded promptly to messages, including my late request for booking, and provided updates and pics of Clover while I was away. She was very accommodating for my senior blind dog and gave her medication (my dog is also diabetic and requires insulin). It was easy to coordinate pick-up and drop-off times. I did not worry about Clover's well being while I was away. I will definitely book with Kyri again!”

“Haley was awesome! Everything listed on her profile is accurate. Our Bailey had a great stay with Haley and her pups. Bailey was there less than 24 hours, but Haley sent us several pictures of her and provided an update of how the stay was going. I would absolutely recommend her and look forward to booking with her again!!”

“My dogs loved going to Rachel's house. They stayed for one night on a last minute booking. Rachel was very responsive to texts through the booking and stay, and even worked with us when we had car troubles and had to pick the dogs up later than expected. My dogs seemed very comfortable and happy there. I'd definitely use her again!”

“I felt immediately comfortable with Myra upon meeting her. Sage had a great week and ate all week, something she never does in a kennel. Myra is a puppy lover and kept us updated during the week. We plan to use her service again in a few weeks!”

“Very friendly and accommodating. Great care given to my spoiled and separation anxiety dog. They refused to give up on her! I offered multiple times to come get her but they dealt with her spoiled behavior and anxiety from being away from me. I never knew this was an issue! We are going to attend training (mostly for me) as I learn how to not let her be with me all of the time. These people are saints and I would definitely book again with them, but only after wete trainedbetter to be fair to sitters! Thank you both! You deserve an award for the great care you gave my spoiled girl!”

“I am very satisfied with how she treated Marley, it was like he was part of their family, and that makes me feel very happy. I will definitely consider her watching him again. And I would recommend anyone to drop their fur babies off and good hands I wasn’t able to keep in contact due to not having service but when I did receive service, I had multiple pictures come through my phone and I felt great thank you again. I really appreciate you treating my buddy like your own”

About: I know how important it is to have someone you trust caring for your dog while you’re away. My goal is to make your pup feel safe, comfortable, and loved while giving you peace of mind with regular updates and photos. I’ve cared for dogs for friends, family, and others and am comfortable with feeding routines, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and lots of attention. I take the time to learn each dog’s personality and routine so their stay feels as familiar and stress-free as possible. I love offering a meet-and-greet before confirming a booking so your dog has a chance to get familiar with me in a comfortable, low-pressure setting. This also gives us an opportunity to discuss your dog’s unique needs, temperament, routines, and any special considerations to help ensure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for during their stay. I work full time, but when I’m not at work I’m usually home and have plenty of time to give your pup lots of love and attention. My daughter and I love spending time outside, going on walks, and playing in our large yard, so your dog can enjoy plenty of activity and playtime with us. I have a large yard with plenty of space for dogs to play and get outside. I’ll treat your pup like part of the family and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while in my care. I’m happy to follow your dog’s normal feeding, walking, and potty routine, and my daughter and I will give them plenty of attention, playtime, and cuddles.
“Chili Pepper was well taken care of during our family vacation! Derek and Megan were flexible, understanding, and great communicators! I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone! I know I will be when we are away again! Thank you so so much!”

“Charlie had a great time with Joanne! Not sure he wanted to come home! :) We really appreciated the great care he received and loved getting updates about how he was doing while we were gone! We highly recommend Joanne!”

“Mariah did an excellent job taking care of my two small pups. She gave each of them oral meds and they looked happy and healthy when I picked them up. I ended up having to come 2.5 hrs after the pick up window I gave and Mariah was very understanding. Great experience!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their New Jasper home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your New Jasper.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your New Jasper sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
