Specialty diets, hiding the medications in pill pockets, taking walks, etc - I have done it.

About: I have owned and cared for pets for my whole life, including cats, dogs, fish and more. When I was growing up my family fostered German and Australian shepherds through K-9 Pet Rescue. I have also raised many litters of kittens and puppies, and ducklings as well! I am a very active person and would love to meet your pets! My schedule is 100% open, 24/7. About: Living in the same area for 20 years, I grew up taking care of neighbors and friends pets, from cats and dogs to birds and bunnies. I grew up with two labs, later 3 rescue mutts, a turtle and now I have a cat of my own. I’m experienced in bathing, feeding, and giving medicine to pets. I’ve house sat for 4 years now, taking care of plants, pets, mail and packages. I’m confident in my ability to care for animals of any kind and all levels of care as well as multiple at a time. I currently work park time Thursday-Sunday as a waitress, manager, and bartender and am in online classes. I’m looking to care and tend to pets mostly during the weekdays and mornings. I have a cat of my own so his space is a priority of mine. To ensure that he feels safe and comfortable I prefer to travel to clients homes where the pet being taken care of has everything provided for them. I ask my clients to write out feeding/medicine schedules, what the pet is allowed to have and not have including toys, treats, etc, as well as where they are allowed to be and not be, furniture, carpet, rooms, etc, and what they are allowed and not allowed to do. I ask my clients if their pet has any triggers & what I should expect from the pet, wether the pet be playful and hyper or enjoys sleeping most of the day. I also make sure I have the clients contact information on hand in case of any change in the pets behavior or emergency.

I’m comfortable giving medications, keeping an eye on older pets, and cleaning up accidents if they happen outside their normal potty area. My goal is simple: keep your pets comfortable, happy, and cared for while you’re away, and give you peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands. I have a very flexible schedule and can usually work around whatever your pets need. I’m happy to do mornings, evenings, weekends, and overnight stays. I’m single with very few scheduling restrictions, so I’m able to be pretty flexible and accommodate different routines and last-minute needs when I can. My goal is to make things as easy and convenient as possible for both you and your pets. Your pet’s safety and well-being are my top priority. I’m happy to go over a clear emergency plan with you before a stay, including your preferred vet, emergency contact, and exactly what you’d like me to do if something unexpected happens. I currently don’t have any pets of my own at home. I recently lost my childhood pet, so having a companion around would honestly be something I’d really enjoy. Your pet would have my full attention and be treated like my own while they’re here. About: Animals have been a big part of my life for many years. I have experience caring for dogs of all sizes, as well as cats, horses, birds, reptiles, and other farm animals. Having owned dogs ranging from 4 to 125 pounds, I’m comfortable with a wide variety of breeds, temperaments, and care needs. About: I had three miniature dachshunds until they all eventually passed away from old age. I treated them as if they were children. I am very in tune with an animal’s needs and emotions. Animals that I have never met before, usually take to me right away. When I cared for my father-in-law’s dog for two weeks, he did not want to return home with him….lol. I hate to see any animal suffer or be in danger. I go as far to remove turtles from the road so that they do not get hit and I have tried to save numerous injured birds in the wild. Animals, especially, dogs, provide so much unconditional love. I am a retired law enforcement officer. Thus, I have a lot of availability. I am available Sunday-Saturday 24 hours as long as I am provided at least a short notice. I have a fenced in back yard that I always ensure is securely locked at all times. I would pet proof home ensure no medications or cleaning products, etc are accessible to pets. Also, I would only feed what the owner wanted the pet to be fed.

About: I have essentially cared for a variety of animals my entire life. I have a great deal of experience with many different situations and needs. I am at your service to align myself with your pets needs and to be sure to be clear on expectations. It brings me GREAT joy in life to care for animals of ALL types! Even most EXOTIC ANIMALS I have a great deal of experice with. My schedule is rather flexible if able to care for pets via housesitting. As much as I wish it was, my home isn't ideal.
