“Andrea sent many pictures and made sure my cats were very well taken care of! She also did an amazing job at giving one of my cats her daily pills. While my cats were in her care I didn’t have a single worrying thought about how they were doing, making my vacation super relaxing and stress free! She’s the best!”

“Michael took care of our 2 german shepherds and our bengal cat while we were on vacation, he was excellent to work with and made sure our dogs got their medications and play time. He had a genuine caring for our pets and is studying to become a vet. I would not hesitate to use him again in the future.”

“We appreciated Emily coming to stay with Donut and the updates she gave during her stay at our house with him, we would definitely book with Emily again! Thank you!!”

“Thank you Mikayla for taking care of our little guy! Tucker is a special little Yorkie with health concerns requiring constant monitoring. Mikayla stepped up and delivered reliable excellent care. Oral medication and special dietary needs were taken care of. She communicated with us and sent pics of our guy which was a relief. We could relax and have peace of mind. Bonus, she left the house clean and tidy! We already have our next trip booked! Thank you again!”

“Callie watched our hyper, very large 52lb 6 month old puppy for a night along with our cat, and did an amazing job! Our puppy is is not at an easy to watch stage, being young and energetic and exciteable, while also being huge and powerful and only half trained. Yet Callie seemed completely unflumoxed and when we came home our house was clean and tidy and the puppy was happy. Highly recommend!”

“Again, Sarah was wonderful in taking care of Lucy. She was available for my last minute request and managed everything well. She even watered my plants! Sarah always goes above and beyond. Lucy always seems very happy and content upon my return. I would highly recommend her.”

“Alexis did an excellent job with our Wheaten Terrier Harley for a 3-day house sitting job. She watched over our home and pup, took her swimming and walks and kept great communication with us. She was even engaged in a neighborhood situation where someone’s dog got out and she was able to return him to the rightful owner, who we knew. THEY too are extremely grateful. Alexis will certainly be on my top list for future weekend travel plans!!”

“Veronica was fantastic! The girls really loved her and she kept us updated with pictures. It was a great comfort to know the girls were in such good hands. We and the girls look forward to you babysitting in the future.”

About: I’ve taken care of cats and dogs of my own for many years. Whether it’s work or vacation or just a date night, rest easy and have a worry-free trip knowing that your pets are well taken care of until your return! Please reach out if you’re looking for someone who can watch your pets during the late afternoons and evenings. If you need me to sit mornings or overnight I’d be happy to accommodate that, I’d just need a few days notice to stay overnight or multiple days to help care for your pets! I have three cats at home with a large space for them to roam, I have had dogs and many other types of animals in the past! I love relaxing with my pets, playing with them, and making them feel safe and calm. I have an active lifestyle and am happy to go on walks and runs with high energy dogs
“Elly has been absolutely wonderful with my pup Mumby! He is always in such a good mood when I get back after she spends time with him. Elly has been reliable, great at communication prior to and during the pet sitting. She always sends me the cutest pics! Elly is my go-to if I need someone to watch Mumby!”

About: You're barking up the right tree with my services! I've had dogs since I was 5 and have provided dog care to my neighborhood, friends, and family for most of my life. I treat every pet as if they were my own and never go anywhere without dog treats in my bag. I have experience with puppies, senior dogs, and rescues and have taken care of many breeds ranging from Dachshunds to Border Collies to an 80 lb German Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix. Whether it's playing fetch for hours or snuggling on the couch your dog will be in great hands. I don't have a dog of my own right now so I have lots of doggie love to give :) If you're looking for someone dependable, fun, and want to help me stop asking everyone I see if I can pet their dog then give me a shout! I'm in school right now so I'm very flexible and am happy to work with my schedule and yours to take care of your pet. Your pet is family when they're with me and I prioritize safety and respect of both your pet and household. I will always respect your pet's space and comfort and ensure they're safe at all times. I treat a client's home as if it were my own: any mess will be properly taken care of (whether that be a shredded toy or a potty accident), everything gets put back in its proper place, and all spaces will be left just as they were found if not cleaner.
“Tony took such good care of our baby! He sent photos and updates. He was super communicative about their walks, feeding times, and made us feel like Reba was fully taken good care of! Thanks Tony!”

“Jessica. I’m grateful we’ve reconnected. Thank you for taking care of our crazy girl. Boarding just doesn’t work for her so this is the perfect solution and the added bonus of some cleaning which you didn’t need to do but….we are grateful for. Thank you thank you!!!”

About: I have been around animals all my life and love being with the them and seeing their unique personalities, I have had 3 cats and have cared for friends and families cats and dogs! I volunteered with Joppa Hill educational farm in 2024 for a year helping to care for the many farm animals and their barn cats. I also recently worked as a pet sitter/dog walker for a year with a private local company! I live in the first floor of my house with my husband and my brother. We have a newly finished basement with a separate entrance. I have 2 cats who are friendly with other cats. If your pet is not friendly with cats i can host them in my basement separate from my cats! Our home also has a fenced in backyard! My partner and brother may interact with your pet but I will be the one bringing them for walks, feeding, and caring for them. I can give pets medications if needed and I do have experience with older pets. I would love to meet and care for your fur baby, whether to bring them for walks, check in on them during the day, or stay with them overnight! I'm currently searching for work and have lots of free time and would love to fill that time caring for pets. My routine is very flexible so I can change my routine to fit the routine of any pet! For those animals coming to stay with me, I rent a home with my husband and my younger brother which has a separate basement "apartment" and a fenced in backyard. I have 2 cats who stay primarily on the first floor and who are friendly with other cats (I'm unsure if they would be friendly with dogs). If your pet is friendly with cats I can carefully and slowly introduce them, if there are any signs of fear or aggression I will keep them separated and have your pet stay primarily in the basement apartment to keep all animals safe and calm. For animals I am travelling to visit, you can expect that I will take some time to play with them, give them lots of pets if they like to be pet, give them fresh water, feed or give medications, and bring in mail, clean dirty pet dishes, etc. I do everything I can to bond with your pet and create a fun, safe environment for them!

“Excellent experience! This was the first time leaving our pets, two of them elderly, with someone other than family. We came home to relaxed happy pets! Christin “Sal” checked in with us daily and let us know all was well. I will most certainly use Sal again!!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - New Boston
Emily was terrific with my 3 dogs. Excellent decompression skills. My rescue dog came from a horrific situation. He was only a puppy and was found in horrible circumstances. He is a wonderful dog but needs time to adjust to new people and new situations. Emily is very patient and understands giving a dog time to acclimate. She sent updated photos and letting me know how the dogs were. I have 3 large dogs ranging from 10 yrs. old. to 5 yrs. old. I would love to have Emily watch my dogs again . This is coming from an experienced dog owner and I also am very involved volunteering for 3 rescues.
Emily stayed at my house and took great care of my dog. She administered his medications as instructed and really helped me feel more relaxed while I was away. She sent me various photos during my trip which made me miss my dog a little bit less! She was flexible and enjoyed taking care of him!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in New Boston on Rover is $37.45 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred New Boston walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in New Boston maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in New Boston choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in New Boston. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
