“I was apprehensive about leaving my boys with a stranger because they've only known me and my family. Liliana was PHENOMENAL! She stayed in constant communication with me and sent frequent updates with photos. The cats took to her immediately and even got comfy enough to lay in her lap. She was so attentive to their needs and even left gifts for all our kitties. I can not speak highly enough of her! I would highly recommend her for your own pets since she will treat them like the family members they are.”

“We frequently travel and always choose Debbie to care for our pets. She goes above and beyond to take great care of our pets. She is a good communicator and we have a lot of confidence leaving our pet’s in her care. We highly recommend Debbie.”

“Katie has exceeded all expectations watching our cats while we were out of the country. Our animals are happy and looking forward to seeing her again. She takes the time to meet your fur baby and minimize the stress of being away from home. Thank you Katie !”

“Super fantastic! She went out of her way to check on my baby and made sure I had pictures even though she was hiding under our building ? we will definitely be rebooking again soon!”

About: I’ve spent years helping friends, family, and neighbors with their pets, from energetic puppies that need extra playtime to older dogs that prefer slow walks and sticking to a routine. I’m comfortable with feeding schedules, refreshing water, cleaning up accidents, giving plenty of attention, and making sure pets feel comfortable while their owners are away. I know every pet has a different personality, so I take the time to earn their trust instead of forcing interactions. Whether your pet loves to play fetch, go on long walks, or just relax with someone nearby, I’ll make sure they feel safe, cared for, and give updates while you’re away. I’m currently in nursing school, and I have a pretty flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to pet care. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, house sitting, and overnight stays. I keep my availability updated and only accept bookings I know I can fully commit to, so your pet always receives reliable, attentive care. I’ll also send regular photo and message updates so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I always follow your care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medications, favorite walking routes, and any house rules. I take time to build trust with each pet, pay attention to their body language, and keep a calm, clean environment. I’ll treat both your home and your pet with the same care and respect I would my own.
About: I’ve lived with both cats and dogs for some years now! Through the years I have grown to not only deeply love animals, but also how to give them the proper care they need and deserve! I’m currently working part-time, so I will have plenty of time to spend with your fur babies! I am typically free Mondays and Tuesdays each week, but I plan for my schedule to be opened up to a few more days a week! I pay close attention to detail to ensure the safety of your pets. Whether its taking your dog for a walk, feeding, or just giving them love and attention, I strive to provide the best care, exactly what your pets deserve!
About: I've had all manner of pets during my life, being the primary caretaker of cats and dogs in the home since a very young age, dogs and cats being my favorite due to their playful nature. Now that my kids are getting older and wanting more pets in our home (we have 1 cat), I'd like to teach them responsibility and pet care by petsitting and walking dogs. Plus with all their energy and love, kids make the perfect friend for energetic dogs that love to play. My cat would also love a playmate, as he grew up with a big dog and misses having a friend! I currently work from home, so I could use the company and breaks to go outside and take walks just as much as your furry best friend! I have a large yard perfect for playing fetch and a big house so pups won't feel cramped. My kids are full of energy and would love a an energetic dog to play with or even an old dog to pour lots of love into with petting and belly rubs in abundance.
“Megan was fantastic with our two dogs! She was not only super nice but also flexible with scheduling when we had to push our trip back. Our dogs absolutely loved her, and she took great care of them. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!”

About: I am more than happy to meet with you prior to booking with me! I acknowledge that it is important for you to get know me, as well as is it for me to get to know you. Having pets comes with great responsibilities. I have raised puppies since I was 9 up until now. I am a biologist and grew up on a farm, so I know how to care for all kinds of animals. I currently have a 6 year old Labrador Retriever named Kaia and 8 year old Weimaraner named Blue. Sisters that love to run, swim, and live a very fun life along with me and my parents. Most of the breeds I have owned have been large breeds: Labradors, Bloodhounds, Dalmatians, Weimaraners, along with small sized breeds such as Beagles and Miniature Australian Shepherd. I am working part-time so I will have time for your buddy. I am mostly available during weekends all day or Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday after 11:30 AM. I am not open to dog/cat sitting at my place, but I will gladly care for your friend at your place if needed. I am able to walk, feed, or take them to potty ever 2-3 hours. If your yard is not fenced, that is not a problem. If your yard is fenced, I will spend time with your dog, play with them, and clean up after them.
“Karenna has been taking care of my dogs while I am working nights. She is always on time and treats my boys wonderful. She is also great with communicating and sending photos. I would highly recommend Karenna to take care of your babies!!”

About: There was never a time in my life where I didn’t have a multitude of pets. I grew up with a family that loves the outdoors and everything in it. Something special about my care is that I’ve had years of experience in rehabbing injured animals. Because of this I’ve learned that patience and attentiveness are so important to a happy healthy pet. I’m devoted to meeting your pet halfway- or wherever I’m needed- in order to help you in any way I can! I work part time Monday-Friday and by 9AM I have the rest of the day to myself! My schedule would be most ideal for a family who needs help during the day or any time from 9:30AM-7PM. I look forward to working something out with you. I appreciate thorough instruction to insure that I am handling things exactly the way you imagine and prefer. Aside from caring for your pet I also like to lightly clean if needed/wanted to give you a little less to deal with.
“Jacqueline was great. She was attentive, detail oriented, and provided plenty of thorough updates on my cat Lou’s well-being. I can’t express how much stress was relieved knowing Lou was in her care. Thanks Jacqueline!”

About: My mom has relied on me to feed, care, walk, and bathe our dogs growing up. My grandma has also relied on me to Watch overheard puppies as she left for vacation vacations. I have been doing this for 10+ years. I am currently working part time, I am available every weekday until 4 PM when I would go to work. While at work, I have three family members that can care for your pets while I am gone. I have a fenced in backyard with plenty of room for them to play. I am more than happy to kennel, my friendly golden retriever and orange kitten whenever.
About: I have had many types of experience through-out my life caring for pets. Just to name a few, I’ve had dogs, cats, birds, guinea pigs, and a chinchilla. I have potty trained my pups, and simple commands/tricks. Currently my schedule is open so I am able to care for pets anytime weekdays and weekends. Animals with a more rigorous/timed schedule are welcomed as well. I have friendly and loving doodles who are always trying to make friends. We regularly bring them to the beach, parks and long walks. They love making new friends and playing fetch. They have a large backyard to play in at times but they are usually in the house because they are spoiled and this Texas heat is savage. I can crate pets if needed, it just depends on your preference.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
