About: I have been taking care of animals of all kinds for over 10 years! I have been doing it professionally for 5+ years as my full-time gig. I work full-time Monday through Friday, but am not new to early mornings or late night stops. So if it is an early morning run they need or a late night snuggle session, I can make it happen! If you find yourself stuck at work or getting a delayed flight I can help fill in the gaps. Weekends are dang near fair game. Reach out and we can discuss what your and your pets needs are so that a plan can be made to meet everyone's needs! Caring for animals of all kinds, ages, needs, and abilities (including farm animals) is my regular day job so it is also fitting that I do it outside my 9-5. I am comfortable giving oral meds and injections so that your pet gets everything they need while you are working or away. Let me know what helps your pet feel most comfortable and happy and I will make it happen! I am currently working full-time Monday through Friday 9-5 with weeknights/early mornings wide open. Weekends I also have availability to make multiple stops or entertain your pet in my home! If the Rover.com schedule says the holiday(s) is available then I am happy to accommodate them as well! I keep the site up to date almost daily so that you can be sure that your days/holidays are free for me to help! I have a very friendly dog and two lovable cats in my home that love new friends. I am happy to leash walk, crate pets as needed, dispense medications and make adjustments as required. In my home the house is fair game with no "off the couch" rule unless you prefer there to be. I am here to enforce or let slide whatever you are comfortable with! I do not currently have a fenced in yard, but am working on that! I care for pets as if they were my own and boundaries are in place to your specifications! Let's make a plan together.
“We couldn’t ask for a better cat sitter! Lillie is incredibly communicative and always sends the most thoughtful, funny, and sweet updates — which means so much when you’re away and missing your kitties! She gives them tons of love, playtime, and attention. She’s also really attentive and quick to notice any changes in behavior or eating/drinking habits, which we really appreciate. We always feel completely at ease knowing our cats are in Lillie’s care!”

“Logan was wonderful with our two kitties. They are very shy and skittish and Logan was patient and kind and wisely waited for them to make friends in their own time. Now they love him! He was great at keeping us informed, dependable, and helpful. He did everything we asked and spent lots of time with our pets. He even took care of some outside snow and ice for us! We will definitely request Logan again. Very happy pet parents!”

“Isabella looked after our kitties for a week, and I wholeheartedly recommend her! We had great communication, and I could tell that she's a real animal lover -- she took the time to brush and play with them, and our kitties were happy and mellow on our turn. Thank you so much, Isabella!”

“Another great experience with Angela! They are dependable, kind, and took excellent care of our cats while we were away. As long as they’re available, we will definitely book again.”
“Alisa was such a good pet sitter! Trustworthy, kind and absolutely perfect for the job. I couldn’t be happier to find someone not only last minute but also great communication and passion for animals! Thank you Alisa!!”

With years of experience caring for all types of animals, I understand the patience, gentleness, and extra attention they deserve. I’m here to make sure they feel safe and cared for. I’ve also fostered kittens, so I’m comfortable with multi-pet homes and understand the importance of adapting to each animal’s unique personality and routine. About: Hi! My name is Brooklin, and animals have been a huge part of my life for over 18 years. I have hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, breeds, and personalities. I previously worked with the Charleston Animal Society, where I gained valuable experience caring for animals and understanding their individual needs. My background has given me the skills to provide safe, reliable, and compassionate care for your pets while you're away. I am comfortable administering medications when needed and have experience monitoring pets' health, feeding schedules, water intake, bathroom habits, and overall well-being. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or prefers a calm and relaxed environment, I strive to make them feel comfortable, loved, and stress-free. I understand that every pet is unique, and I take the time to learn their routines, preferences, and personalities. My goal is to treat every animal as if they were my own and provide pet parents with peace of mind through dependable care and communication. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! At the moment I have a full time job, but have weekends off. I plan to entail doing this on my weekends and even after work days. This is more then just making it my routine. I adore animal(s). I have a fenced in yard, I as well have a crate. Plenty of opportunities for walking adventures. I enjoy going to the dog park, as well with adventuring outside anywhere with the animal(s). Whatever you set for rules or boundaries I’ll always continue to respect them, and always follow. I enjoy working with animal(s)
About: I’ve been caring for animals my entire life—whether it’s been my own pets, helping out friends, or rescuing strays in need. Both of my cats were rescued by me, and I’ve always had a natural connection with animals. They’re drawn to me, and I love giving them the same trust and affection they show me. I grew up with big dogs, including two pit bulls and a boxer, so I’m confident and comfortable handling larger breeds. Over the years, I’ve potty trained dogs, taught tricks, and cared for pets with all kinds of temperaments. My experience goes beyond cats and dogs—I’ve also cared for frogs, snakes, turtles, and even had the incredible opportunity to volunteer with elephants in Thailand. My love for animals runs so deep that I’ve been vegan for over a decade. Caring for animals isn’t just something I do—it’s truly part of who I am. What I Offer 🐾 A 100% open and flexible schedule—your pets will always get the time, love, and attention they deserve. 🐾 Experience with animals of all sizes, temperaments, and special needs. 🐾 Patience, playfulness, and genuine compassion for every pet I meet. Whether it’s cuddles, walks, playtime, or extra TLC, I’ll treat your fur babies like they’re my own. I have a completely open and flexible schedule, available any day and time. Since I mostly work from home, I can easily accommodate bookings, cancellations, last-minute changes, and special requests. The only exception is occasional weekend evenings after 5 PM, when I work at The Colony in Woodstock. Other than that, I’m always here for you and your pets! I live in a spacious three-bedroom, 2 story home with a large open yard, perfect for pets to play and explore. Your furry friend will have plenty of room to stretch, run, and enjoy the outdoors while getting all the exercise and fresh air they need to stay happy and healthy.

I'm Shelby, your local dog lover and fashion designer; while caring for your beloved pup, I will give them tips on how they can improve their runway walk and enhance their personal style :) I have experience with, and love, all types of dogs and had a beautiful Golden Retriever of my own for 15 years. I am looking to make connections with regulars to establish relationships with the dogs that I am caring for, so feel free to reach out to me frequently! About: Hi, Everyone! My name is Cara. Thank you for visiting my page. My strong admiration for animals has only grown more with the more animals I meet and as a result, it brings me genuine happiness. It is a rewarding experience to be able to take care of any animal that needs it while their owner is away. Since starting Rover in August 21’, I’ve had 10+ repeat clients and have established great friendships with families/people in the community as a result. I have a M-F teaching position 8am-4pm and summer months off. I am currently a part time Binghamton University graduate student studying for a masters degree in early childhood special education. A little history: I grew up with a miniature schnauzer (Zoie) whom towards the end of her life, needed constant supervision and was administered medicine 3x/ day, grooming/washing daily. I was always there to comfort her until the end of her life and spoiled her beyond belief. Myself and my family provided care to my mini schnauzer for over 12 years. As a child, I never had a dog sitter to send updates, pictures/videos for my sweet Zoie when my family would travel, so I strongly understand the importance of quick and reliable communication/sending updates while you’re away to ease your anxiety. Experience - administering medicine/injections - cats, big dogs, small dogs, senior animals, special needs pets, pigs, cows, chickens. -exercise/run with your pet -hospice/end of life care (Repositioning every hour, hand feeding, massages, cooking packs, frozen bone broth snacks on warmer days, the list goes on) Pets and animals deserve to be spoiled but most importantly, they deserve to be loved. I have a white pitbull fur baby (Minnie). Shes a loyal, sweet and well behaved dog, I’m so lucky and thankful for her every day as she brings me so much happiness. She stays at home with her other best friend, my significant other while I’m away. If you think I’d be a good fit for your fur baby or have any questions or concerns, I’m here to answer them all and hope you will consider me to take care of your pet. I work M-F through a nearby school, being able to provide supervision to animals while I am home. Check my calendar for the most up to date availability, please 😌 House sitting: Provide overnight care, 24/7 care, other responsibilities to care for your home while you are away (watering plants, picking up mail, cleaning, etc.) Always love to send picture and video updates 2-3x/a day of your furry one to ensure you are comfortable and know that your animal is well cared for and happy in my care!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
