About: We lost our last little guy in February 2024. It’s the first time in 35+ years without at least one dog under the same roof, and it’s felt like something essential is missing. I have such a love for dogs, and would love to pass that on to yours while you have to be away from them. That’s my main reason for being a Rover Sitter. I’m semi-retired and work from home, so your dog(s) will get my full attention. Your dog(s) will get care, love, playtime and exercise. Outside, they'll be supervised, whether they’re just roaming, playing or doing their business. I myself love to walk, and welcome having your dog as my walking buddy. Inside, they'll get a lot of attention and affection whether playing ball, or just chilling out. If you've got a senior, I am very experienced in that care, whether simple TLC, boosts when standing, meds, multiple bathroom breaks, etc. Our dogs were allowed on the furniture, and slept on the bed with us; I respect and will follow your rules for that, though. For those who like to sleep in their own "den," I have a lot of experience with crate training also. I'm happy to do a meet-and-greet before the first visit to make sure everybody's comfortable -- both canine and human. Photos and updates are happily available while you're away. I work from home, and have a very flexible schedule throughout the day. I can sit with your dog(s) any day of the week and/or weekend. Thank you for understanding! ❤️‍🩹🐶} I have been Petsitting and housesitting for friends and family for more than 25 years, so I figured, why not make new friends and continue the tradition? It’s one of my greatest joys in life, getting to know and play with new puppers and their people!! I’ve cared for many types and breeds of dogs, cats, and exotic animals (snakes, tortoises, lizards, turtles, tarantulas, exotic fish, chickens, etc.) and all types of pet personalities - shy, rambunctious, skittish, lazy, grouchy, energetic, and everything in-between. From trained purebreds to rescues who have been abused or neglected and need special attention, I have worked with and enjoyed them all. I’ve administered meds, cared for sick pups and kitties, and taken my charges to the vet when needed. I could be trained to care for your pigs, goats, sheep, horses, etc. I travel a good deal and understand the importance of being able to have your non-human child well looked after and not have to worry about them while you’re out of town, or even if you’re just at work. I work remotely, so your pet gets potty breaks often, and they have a human around almost all the time. We go for small walks around a delightful neighborhood when desired, or longer walks/hikes on nearby trails if the bigger pups are game. There are no off-limits areas in our house- my pug Napoleon slept *under the covers* in the big bed he believed he owned - but if you have different rules, they will be enforced as dictated. Any other questions, please don’t hesitate to ask! I am excited to meet you - and your human friends ;)! Working remotely from my home office provides plenty of opportunity for potty breaks and puppy love in-between client interactions on the phone. It also allows me to stay full-time in your home with your pets if overnight sits are your preference. All that is needed is a strong internet connection and a comfortable, quiet place in your home to work. I have a gated yard in the front but can take little pups on-leash if there’s any concern. There’s also a small potty area in the back yard with a full fence for off-leash outside time. I can accommodate a small crate in my home, if desired. For overnights in your home, an initial meet-n-greet will be required prior to the first engagement to ensure everyone’s comfort and safety.

About: I've taken care of dogs since I was five years old. I still distinctly remember the breeder of the first dog I ever owned - a chocolate lab named Ginger - looking me in the eye after seeing I was apprehensive about the dogs and telling me, "Son, some day this dog will be the best friend you ever had." Ginger and I went everywhere together. I've had dogs and cats virtually my whole life, and the animals love me. While I am employed full time, I work in a hybrid setting that includes roughly 3 remote days per week, so I can be pet sitting on site and developing as close a band as I can to alleviate the babies' separation anxiety. I aim to please - if you'd prefer for your fur baby to be crated at night, then I will make sure s/he does that. My only job, other than to make the babies' experience as smooth as possible, is to follow the directions laid out by the owners.

About: Ever since I was a little kid I fell in love with every animal I met. Starting in high school I began watching pets for neighbors, family and friends. I have lived in the Asheville area now since 2017 and have spent time pet sitting many dogs, cats and chickens. I am open to watching all pets and look forward to meeting them! I am a self-employed ceramic artist so my schedule can be very flexible to house sitting, dog walking, etc. Please reach out and I will try to accommodate any schedule you need! I have reliable transportation and am happy to come take care of your animals in your home. I have a Subaru Outback and can easily put your dog in the car to go to a park or walking trail. I do not watch pets at my own home. I currently live in an apartment building with restricted animal rules and have my own cat who is older and does not want to be around other animals.

About: I’ve taken care of all sorts of animals. From dogs to cats to lizards and fish. I absolutely love all animals and always strive to give them the care they need! I’m currently getting ready for college so my schedule is pretty free and flexible. I’m available at almost anytime in any day that you may need! About: I've never not had pets in my life. I've had one dog - a jack russel terrier who lived to be an old man of 16. I used to volunteer at PAWS Animal Shelter as a dog walker, so I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes and ages. I love getting to know a new dog and seeing their distinct personalities shine through. I'm currently working Tues-Sat 3-10pm, so I am available for morning or late night check-ins and Sunday/Monday day long care. I can be pretty flexible, so feel free to reach out and see if we can work something out that works for you. I cannot currently take pets into my home, but I am comfortable following whatever routine your pet is used to. The more details you can leave me, the better. I want my care to be as seamless and stress-free for your pet as possible.

About: I have been pet sitting for the last 4 years as well as being a nanny for 4 children aged newborn to 5 years old. During my time pet sitting I have worked with single dogs as well as up to 4 dogs in a single household. I love playing with and entertaining the higher-energy extroverted pets and enjoy quiet cuddle-time with the more laid-back, philosophical ones. Your pets safety and overall well-being is an utmost priority and I will care for it as carefully as I do my own pet. In addition to pet sitting, I have learned a lot about interacting with all sorts of personalities in mobile pet grooming business. I have a flexible schedule that allows week-day overnights and multiple daytime check-ins with your pet. For overnight sittings, my flexible schedule allows me to check it in on your pets throughout the day, and no pet will be left unattended for more than 3 or 4 hours. I will communicate proactively and adhere to all the house rules and keep your pet's routine as consistent as possible to reduce your pet's anxiety at your absence. In addition to maintaining their regular routines, I can also brush, bathe, and blow-dry your pet while you are away! I am a considerate house-guest and will wash any dishes or towels/washcloths that I might use as well.

About: I grew up volunteering and working at the Museum of Natural Sciences in Raleigh, which sparked my passion for animals at a young age. I have experience with exotics like snakes, birds, turtles and salamanders. My mom is a licensed rehabilitator, and I gained valuable knowledge assisting her with rehabilitating birds and baby opossums. I personally have a horse, two adorable dogs, and a cat. I also have a flock of chickens! I have experience as a service dog handler and am able to administer maintenance medications to animals if needed. I have over a year of medical experience working as an Equine Veterinary Assistant as well! Taking care of animals is part of my daily routine. I am working part-time and have time when I am not working to do pet care. I understand the importance of providing animals with the attention and care that they need. Whether it is a leashed walk or supervised play in a fenced yard for a dog. Or brushing and spending time with a cat I always ensure safety first!
