“We were nervous about hiring a stranger to house sit all of our animals- there are five- plus fish. We had had friends of friends house sit for us until this point, and something usually went wrong. Like they killed off a whole tank of fish or that they ignored our parrot, so she plucked out quite a few feathers, and we had never left our dogs with anyone who wasn't family. We have a rescue whose previous owners severely abused him, and he takes a second to warm up to people- for this reason, we haven't left either of them in four years. They've always come with us on vacation, or one of us stays home. This time we couldn't take them, and it was a tough decision. The highest praise I can give Zachary is that Henry (our rescue) snuggled him. I am so grateful for everything Zachary did for us, from nightly proof of life photos to the meet and greet beforehand to simply asking questions to make sure he cared for everyone the way we do. Since getting home about fifteen hours ago, we've already rebooked him and given his name to one of our friends who doesn't like to leave her dog. If you want a kind, caring and dependable person to care for your animals, Zachary is it.”

Tessa was her new play buddy and seemed at ease and comfortable with her during her stay. Pets are often curious and you need to make sure they’re not getting into harms way. When I take your dog for a walk, I won’t be on my phone because you need to be on the lookout for potential danger. I can take your dog to the park, around the neighborhood, for a drive or just stand in the yard. It’s all up to you. I will follow your instructions without opinion.

About: I’ve loved dogs my entire life and have experience caring for family pets and helping friends with their dogs. About: Hello everyone! My name is Laina and I’m an animal behavior student at Indiana University open for work! I have extensive experience in animal care with my education experience, volunteer training, and personal pets as well! In my past I have trained service dogs through ICAN and volunteer at The Love Pet Project. Currently I have six dogs at home that I care for as well as two cats! I’m highly experienced with various animal care and aspire to make a career out of my passion! I am available for full time care through the week and weekends or part time if needed as well. I provide daily care, hourly check ins, long walks, bathing/grooming services, or I’m potentially open to overnight stays depending on the client. I provide excellent and safe care for all animals. Depending on the animals needs and behavior I am able to bring them to parks, trails, back yards, or pet stores for play and enrichment! Animals will be kept on their leashes when in public at all times and kept from a safe distance from other animals that may be around! All fences will be checked for damage before animals are let loose to play! In the home all food will be placed in high areas that are up and away from the animals reach. Sharp objects that could causes harm are also placed away!

I was in charge of the infirmary there and medicating all the animals as far as any sick or injured animals and monthly flea and tick treatments. I cared for animals there from the very small, winged, scaly to the large cows and horses. About: I am a veterinary assistant with IndyVet, where I work on the internal medicine team! In my free time, I foster and work hard to get my kitties adopted after fulfilling their medical and love-needs. I have had many dogs in the past, but have only fostered one. An English Bulldog with spina bifida-Lyla. She was disabled and completely incontinent, and required much care. I love and miss her dearly, she is now 2 years old and has been with her forever family for 2 years! If your pet has any medical needs, you can count on me to take care of them every step of the way. If you are someone who enjoys photos of your best friend, expect many! (In addition to Dannie, I also go by my nickname-Mae!) I recently graduated from Purdue and now work full-time on the internal medicine team at IndyVet. I am enrolled in a veterinary technician program online! Most of my nights I spend studying. My weekdays are spent in Indy, but my sibling (17, also in the animal care world) helps with walks during the day. Pets in my care are firstly loved on tremendously. About: I have owned dogs my whole life and had all different ages and breeds. I love taking dogs on walk and keeping them occupied and active! I have been walking and caring for other peoples dog for a year now but always had dogs of my own. I am currently a student at FGCU and only have classes twice a week for an hour each. I am currently unemployed as well so I will be home most of the day and have a lot of freedom. I don’t have a fenced in yard but my apartment has grass areas and trails to walk on. I live on the first floor and will take your dog out several times a day. I have no dogs in the apartment but I do have a kitten who doesn’t mind dogs or other cats.
