“I felt confident in leaving my furbaby for a weekend in her care. Super thorough with her meet and greet and sends plenty of pictures while you’re gone.”

“Caroline was fantastic! She took the best care of our three dogs, sent us pics throughout, and was flexible when our schedule shifted! Will definitely rebook when we need a dog sitter in the future!”

About: I have a wide range of experience in caring for 1-30+ dogs at a time. I’ve cared for numerous family and friends’ dogs, hunting dogs, and I’ve worked for two boarding/daycare businesses over the last 3 years. I have experience working with dogs who have seizures, and in administering a wide range of medications. I care for dogs and kids by appointment, so I’m very flexible! I’m currently working more during the week until August, then my schedule during the week will open up more! I can care for your doggo in your home so that they’re the most comfortable, and so they can stick to their routines! I’m happy to run around and play with them and take them for walks; I’m also very happy to be a couch potato with them! I really do care about your dogs and want to give them and you peace of mind when they’re in my care!

“Brittany is awesome and she is my new go to when I need my dog looked after. I recently moved to the area and have been looking for someone to look after my dog when I have to travel. She kept in constant communication with me; provided photos and videos daily; and even picked up an Easter gift for him.”

About: Hi, my name is Ashley! I took a break from Rover but am back and ready to roll. Please be advised I live in Chesapeake and work 8am am to 5pm in Virginia Beach. I have 2 remote work days per week, but they sometimes change. I've had all kinds of pets: rats, hedgehogs, a pig, dogs, and cats. I've also worked at an animal sanctuary where I took care of horses, chickens, and other livestock and large animals. I've watched neighbors, friends, and family member's pets before. I can't imagine a life without pets in it. We have a VERY large back yard for dogs to run around in (see photos). Your pet will have their own puppy vacation while you are on yours! I am not currently boarding pets in my own home. BUT I love to get my steps in and going on walks with pets, visit them at their home, and do house sitting. Being a pet parent is a full time job. Whether it's waking up early, making sure they get their last potty breaks before bed, and everything in between, it's important to make time for pets. I work for the City of VB M-F 8am to 4:30 pm, plus my husband and 18y/o daughter live with me as well. Overall, someone is typically available before 9am and after 4pm to be at home M-F. We are also off on major holidays. Our pets are our babies and best friends, so they are a major priority in our schedule. I have a large fenced in backyard with lots of running room. My own pups like to have puppy pool parties in their plastic kiddie play pool. They have lots of toys. Get daily walks, go to the dog park once a week to socialize, get baths, and of course get regular vet visits. We go above and beyond for our fur babies. Our cat gets similar treatment and has his own room where his litter box, food, and water, that has a cat door on it so the dogs can't get in.

“Highly recommend Gayla for all your dog/house sitting needs. She keep us in the loop with pictures and video’s throughout our trip. Don’t think twice about hiring her!!”

“Brianna was wonderful with our 5 dogs, she went over and above the expectations that we had. She kept in contact and sent pics regularly throughout her stay. Although we were a bit reluctant going into the process of using Rover.com, after meeting Brianna and having her stay at our home, we were much relieved to learn that she is extremely competent and she really cares. Brianna is a true “animal lover”, as well as knowledgeable and professional. We felt very confident knowing that if our pets needed anything more than their usual care, Brianna would see to it that the situation was taken care of appropriately. We highly recommend her, and we look forward to having her care for our fur babies in the future.”

“Aliyah was great. We have a big old house with its quirks and lots of pets with even more quirks, and she took great care of everything! Pets were extremely happy and relaxed when we got home.”

About: I’ve been taking care of all kinds of animals for the past 8 years, and I’m also a cat owner myself. I really enjoy spending time with animals and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. I work full-time but have gaps in my day where I can check on your fur babies and make sure they are thriving in their home. I can pick up on behavior quickly and would love to take care of them in an environment they know and already love. I would love to meet them ahead of time to establish trust.

About: I have a trained my own dog from when he was only 8 weeks and I understand the care and exercise dogs need each day. I’m currently working part time at night and have the time to give the little one the attention and care they need. I also have a camera set up for my little one so I can see what’s going on if I need to leave the house. It depends on the little one’s needs, if they are anxious or more relaxed. I adjust to whatever he/she needs. If they need to be crated or if they just need to be cuddled on the couch. I also, have a Pomsky that loves to play and will keep your little one company.

“Lyfrance took such good care of Izzy and the house! She sent us pictures and kept in touch throughout the weekend! Izzy had a great time with Lyfrance too! We feel so lucky she was available for our last minute trip! We will call her again for sure!”

“Hannah did an excellent job watching our elderly Pride. She gave him tons of love and attention. Sent pictures when he wasn't in motion (which can be difficult even for older boxers).
